The Cambion examines the slave. He studies her features, grace, beauty. Satisfied, he asks, "And she is skilled in the art of intimacy?" The auctioneer assures Morthos that she is.

"I will take her. In time, I may have desire for more. As may my compatriots."

After handing over the required coin, the Cambion heads off to the inn with his new slave. The tanar'ri samples some of the local food and then is seen taking the slave up to a room.

The next morning, both the slave and Morthos seem pleased, though likely for different reasons...

The Cambion looked at the corpse grimly. A cycle or so again, he was swept up in the attack on the Wild Side - and the events after the attack itself. Bending down, he examines the "eye" sigil in the one of the Skulls. With a dark look, Morthos grunts.

"It appears it's time to find another Patron. Tharizdun can't even keep his own cultists in line. This is mayhap the very last straw, as 'tis said...", the Athar warlock mutters.

Morthos has taken the Demonic name, Raiml'vrull - a name which he doesn't reveal to many, meaning "Merciful Vehemence". It is not a true name, but it is a name that the Cambion would only reveal to a select few.

The Dark also would tell one that Raiml'vrull was hired by servants of Graz'zt to assault a servant of Demogorgon. And he has taken on Graz'zt as his new patron, angering the servants of his former patron, Tharizdun.

On certain ocassions, he is also seen by denizens of Sigil with a succubus, a kelvezu, and a Yagnoloth. All three seem bound to his will. The former delivers messages and gathers information, while the latter two act as personal enforcers. The Cambion doesn't seem to particularly hide his control of the three, if asked.

The Temple of the Abyss was afire with its usual glow, sacrifices and shrieks heard within. The portal giving access to Broken Reach opened up - unannounced to the priestesses standing near. Flanked by his three minions and bodyguards, the Marquis Cambion Raiml'vrull stepped out and brushed past the temple servants nearby. A large Scythe was in the Marquis Cambion's hand, which he willed into Adamantine. Hands aglow with Eldritch energy of the Abyss itself, the Tanar'ri purposefully headed towards the exit to the Lower Ward.
The Marquis Cambion, and Athaon, then continued on towards the Shattered Temple. As he left the Temple of the Abyss, there was heard,
"It is good to gain some territory and shatter the body and pride of one's enemies, especially in the Abyss itself! But it is incumbent that I return to Sigil..."

Athaon Morthos spent the next few tendays catching up on the Chant and looking up old contacts. It had been too long...
