Name: Shade
Aliases: Has been dubbed Mr. Shade
Gender: Male
Race: Human Vampire
Age: Doesn't remember. Nor does he want to. There are more ways to forget than just the styx.
Profession: Witch Doctor, Healer, Vigilante and Predator
Languages: Common, Abyssal, Auran
Accent: Shade's accent shifts and changes. Typically he sounds well educated and polished. However, occasionally something else breaks through.

Height: Seven Feet
Weight: Two Hundred and Fifty Pounds
Body build: Shade is on the healthy side of muscular.
Skin type: His skin is smooth, causing him to look young and in the prime of life.
Hair style: Shade wears his hair in long dreadlocks.
Scars: A light scar runs across the top of his brow, just under the hairline. Another on his right hand. Three ritualized scars mark his right breast.
Alignment: Neutral Evil. Okunkun, Shade's sire and teacher, taught him how to hide away his souls and spirit in fetishes. While turning Shade Okunkun bound two spirits to him. One acts as an accuser, the other as a voice of innocence. Shade considers himself a monster. His souls and spirits remind him of this every day. He doesn't try to water it down. He simply attempts to make sure he is a monster with a reason.
Philosophy: Existence is the observation of order and chaos. Both transform one into the other. Look upon this dance and give it meaning.
Deity/Beliefs: Shade grew up with the gods and spirits of his people. Under the tutelage of his teachers he learned many of the rights of the gods and made pacts with the spirits and ancestors. Omi and Erebus are the two gods of his people that seemed to call to him; both in his star chart and the Ifa casting. Since watching his village and its tradition die away, Shade has begun mainly to worship gods based on their domains rather than their personas; seeing the gods as manifestations of archetypes.
He will recognizes any deity who has power over water and the dark and has collected a host of other deities he'll pray to. Most of these are gods of magic or the dead, or lords of the underworld such as Hades or Hecate. He also has a special affection for gods who seem evil, but progress the story and mythos of their people; gods such as Set or Loki.
In this regard, Shade is a pure pagan, saying a prayer to any god he thinks will accept him and lend him aid.
His magic however tends to come from more localized sources such as the spirits, outsiders and elemental powers he traffics with.
Oddly enough he does manifest an affinity with water and darkness even though the gods he knew to rule these seem long gone and forgotten.

Personality:

Habbits/hobbies: Shade is becoming increasingly obsessed with magic. The vampirism has destroyed his ability to delight in the senses. That is unless he is enjoying a meal. Every sight, sound and touch of the hand is simply information to be processed and used for the hunt. His emotions are dead unless he is in contact with one of his souls or spirits and then, typically, the overwhelming emotion is one of guilt or tragedy.
Magic however is something beyond all this. While his physical senses have lost all pleasure, he can still feel the pulse of magic running through him. In a world so lacking in sensation, any powerful source of stimuli is a pleasure.
He's addicted to finding different ways to manipulate magic through his body, whether it is from readings scrolls or making pacts to learn new spells or invocations. Further, every change in magic armor, weapons or clothing allows for him in that moment to experience the sensation of the magic taking hold.
You may occasionally catch him taking on and off a magical ring over and over again, just because it causes him to feel something. Further, he craves the spells of others being cast upon him, although he would never admit it. Whether it is a ward or even a curse, magic is something, and he always wants more.
General Health: Shade seems to have stopped aging somewhere in his late twenties.
Weaknesses: Shade is a torn individual. His body is a dead husk. There is no pleasure left to his senses. Every sense, every hunger of humanity has been turned to one goal, the acquisition of more blood. However, while most vampires pursue this hunger with few moral qualms, Shade has managed to preserve his souls and spirit. Each is detached, something more like a daemon than Shade himself, however, each weighs in on Shade's actions and can cause sensations of grief and guilt. Two spirits are also bound to him in order to evoke these emotions and remind him of humanity.
The result is endless conflict and a shifting character who often tries to ignore both extremes until one simply takes over.
On top of this, Shade possesses all the weaknesses of your typical vampire. He is destroyed by sunlight and being submerged under running water. Powerful artifacts of faith greatly disturb him, and he has no reflection. However, if you were to hold a mirror up to him, you may start to notice several shadows and lights playing across the scene of whatever is behind him.
