Elnen Tarcer, or as she prefers, El, is the product of a devil and the elf woman he seduced. At least, that is the story as she heard it. El never knew her parents. Her mother died in childbirth and her father disappeared entirely. According to the elves he fled back to the Hells after his illicit encounter, but no such unwilling union of elf and devil had ever led to a child before.

In any case, Elnen was raised by the elves of Arvandor, the paradise of the elves. The unusual child was brought up as any other elf, learning the ways of song, dance, nature, poetry, and other similar pursuits. The girl despised every moment, developing an ever-growing dislike of what she deemed frivolous wastes of time.

She was trained as a druid, as were many of her fellow children, but upon reaching elven maturity, left the plane as soon as possible.

The Lower Planes beckon her like a signal lantern, and moral dilemnas rage in her mind with every waking day. Part of her soul desires destruction and death... the other wants peace and merrymaking. She truly wants neither. Can a being deny the calling of its soul? Is free will greater than fate? These and many questions fuel this half-fiend/half-elf's daily life.

Philosophy and adventuring silence the inner "demons." Where shall she end up? That remains to be seen...
