Basic Information
Name: Razia Kascamandri al Imbeyan
Gender: Female
Race: Tiefling
Age: 24
Languages: Common, Infernal, Ignan, Kuniuric ((extra) made-up language; roleplayed)
Accent/Speech Patterns: Razia speaks in a crisp accent with hard consonants and lilting vowels not unlike a real-world Indian accent (perhaps with a touch of Irish). Her native tongue and the dialect of Common spoken there are both rather formal and the latter is somewhat archaic by Sigilian standards, so she speaks somewhat formally and with few contractions.
Physical Information
Height: 5 feet, 10 inches
Weight: 140 pounds
Body build: Wiry, with toned muscles and very little fat. The body of a dedicated soldier who has lived and fought in the desert.
Skin type: Her hands are rough and calloused and various parts of her body, such as her temples, shoulders, and outer forearms have a very thin coating of scales.
Hair style: Her hair is worn neat and crisply cut, and is well-trained to stay back from her face.
Scars: The outside of her right forearm bears precisely three scars and her left forearm carries four scars. Each of them is long and straight, obviously caused by a deep, purposeful cut from a sharp blade.
Hair: Dark red
Eyes: Dark red with slitted pupils
Skin: Red-tinged.
Mental Information
Alignment: Chaotic Evil (due to a mistaken guess at creation. Lawful Evil more accurate)
Philosophy: Razia's philosophy is categorized by honour, first and foremost. She was brought up in a culture in which honour was important to all, but especially to the nobles and warriors. As she was both, it coloured her perceptions greatly. Her philosophy is also shaped by the desert. She believes that the weak should die off to make way for the strong and finds beauty in harshness and pain, seeing in them the same qualities as the desert which is a crucible for the strong and a death sentence for the weak.
Deity/Beliefs: She primarily worships Tsurumah, a Lawful Evil god of battle, warfare, and pain, who is one of the two prominent gods in Caraskand, and is responsible for most of the relatively large tiefling population in Caraskand. She also worships Caraskand's other primary god, Mursiris, a Neutral Evil god of the desert, water, fire, and heat (a duality caused by the desert, where water is coveted but the burning heat is to be respected), and honours her ancestors in the tradition of her homeland.
Personality: Razia tends to be distant, perhaps even cold at times, but she can be quick to anger, and when she does lose her temper, "cold" is far from the correct word. She has an active sense of humor, but is prone to subtle humor that is dry or sarcastic. She also values subtlety in her interactions in other ways, for the upper class of Caraskand is permeated in a subtle, complex code of behavior that governs almost all social interactions, and mastery of its nuances brings honour. She tends to be formal due to her culture as well.
Additional Information
Habbits/hobbies: Razia is an avid reader, especially of tactical and philosophical treatises and enjoys tactical games such as chess and the games of her homeland.
Favorite Drink: gishrut - a traditional drink of the orcs of the Steppe in Cel'mirah made from fermented mare's milk.
Weaknesses: Besides her reliance upon and refusal to act in violation of her code of honour (which can certainly prove to be a weakness), her temper can work against her, she dislikes positive energy for the unpleasant, icy feeling it causes her. On a more personal level, her younger sister Arema is a weak point for her, as Razia would do just about anything for her.
History
Basically (but will be expanded later - and probably get some stories too):
- Born in Caraskand, a city-state at the border of the Deshruic Desert on the continent ot Cel'mirah on the plane of Qor.
- Born to parents of house Jiani, a subsidiary house of the warrior caste, beholden to house Kascamandri. Their names were Imbeyan and Quya
- In Caraskand there are many tieflings and fire genasi (at least relative to many other places) and almost all are descended from the avatars and servants of Tsurumah and Musiris. Therefore, they are honoured and respected in Caraskand, unlike most other places, and are automatically elevated to noble caste at birth or upon showing traits of their heritage. Tieflings and genasi are generally looked upon in much the same manner and are both called Children of the Twin Flames. If more detail is needed to differentiate between the two races, tieflings are called Children of the Flame of Battle and genasi Children of the Punishing Flame.
- Raised by Kala, a tiefling of house Kascamandri.
- Tieflings and genasi in Caraskand are apparently universally infertile, which means many are willing to raise a tiefling or genasi child born to a lower caste who must be raised by a noble due to being a noble by default because of their race.
- She was a commander and led her army of roughly 2,000 from the age of 20 to 24 (from 17 to 20 she was a captain in the army, until the former general was killed). She scored many victories against the orcs of the desert and did not leave the desert for more than a week at a time since she was 17.
- The seven scars on her arms are for the seven orc chiefs that were slain in battles she led, though she only ever engaged one of them herself.
- Was recalled to Caraskand due to political maneuvering by an alliance of rival families so that they could kill of her whole house at once and not have to deal with her (with ana rmy behind her) later.
- Due to the aid of Nalya Biaxi, a warlock captain she commanded who was loyal to her despite House Biaxi being a part of the alliance against Kascamandri, Razia learned that an assassin was coming to kill her later that night and fled the city. Nalya led her to a portal to the Brass City and Razia escaped through it.
- She waited to be followed, sold all of the jewelry she had snatched up before she escaped to pay for traps, poisons, and mercenaries, and with their aid, caught her two pursuers. From them she learned that Kascamandri was all but destroyed, its servant houses divided up between the alliance of enemy Houses.
- She realized there was no chance of returning home and fled to Sigil after killing her captives.
