Philosophy: Only hurt people who hurt you. If somebody yells at you about something you should probably stop doing it unless you don't like them. If you cant survive of your own power your gonna have it rough later on.

Scrug: The Arrival.
One day a raiding party from Scrugs clan went out to knock over a caravan.
They Failed. This being the final in a string of failures by the clan to have a successful raid since caravans tightened security. Although this is not what they blamed for the failures when the raiders returned. As the raiding party was practically half the clan it was essentially a civil war, which due to both parties being equally skilled resulted in a fairly chaotic result with few survivors.The day after the battle the remaining four survivors attempted to rebuild the burrow.
After about a week of fruitless labor and the starvation of one of the goblins an elf wizard arrived at the cave. Wishing to train a goblin to be his house servant he snuck the heavy sleeping Scrug into his pack, Then after a brief though dispatched with the other two because he felt like it.
The years thereafter he trained Scrug in the speaking of common and the art of cooking, It is also at this point he gave Scrug his name.
After five years of the eccentric wizards teaching (That he mostly ignored) Scrug finally attached the name "Beard Man" to the elf after reading a book about wizards
and reading a passage about beards.
After another year had passed Scrug finally got the hang of common and the basics of stoking Beard Mans giant wood stove.
Then Scrug wandered away.
He wandered into the forest.
He wandered for two years.
Then he walked across a swarthy dressed man fiddling with thin air.
Seeing this oddity Scrug tilted his head and watched.
After a while a flurry of lights came into existence where the swarthy dressed man fiddled and no sooner did it appear then did the man leap into it.
Scrug wandered after him.
After a while Scrug arrived in Sigil.
