*A few new sketches are added to her sketch book*
In this picture is large crowd of masked people, a female in red gown and black mask holding a trophy in middle of stage getting a thundering applauds from the crowd. A single empty potion seems to be on the floor near picture, on one of the corners a small female can be seen crouching, but it is a small detail in the overall picture and is easily missed. This page seems to have been splitted to two, on the left side there's a male gnome drawn, though its face is mostly blank. On the right side there's an ogre made with a friendly expression and demeanor. The background is a mess of colour and mystical patterns. This depicts a rather indistinguishable female with horns, bat-like wings curled around her, scant outfit, her skin a hue of tan-to-red, tail curled around her waist. She has a thoughtful expression while lying down on a bench with her hands under her head. [/li]
She was excited when Aeron showed her the beaches of Thalasia, the vast pool of clear water spreading as far as eye could see and the salty clear odor under the night sky. The excitement lasted for only so long, but the gratitude persisted as she chipperly thanked Aeron. A flute, flute which he had given her as a gift was the key... as a spur of moment she lifted it to her lips and started to play a soft tune to explain her gratitude.
FIIIIiiiiiiuuuUUUiiiWWwwiiIIIuuuUUUU! emitted the dreadful sound, much akin to a dying bird, from the flute as she placed her fingers randomly to fill the holes...
Aeron grimaced at the sound
I don't... think that's how it's played. even Coristia had noticed the sound was less than graceful she had intended, she had never played a flute before, but she was adamant she was not to blame.
I.. I t-think i-it i-is b-broken. she stuttered her objection, adamant on not taking the blame. A smirk came to Aerons face and he admitted
Well to be fair, I never did test it. a short silence, then Coristia still felt like she should try to express her gratitude... she took awkward step closer and spreaded her arms towards Aeron - she was going to hug her - but at last moment she chose against it and instead flailed her hands around as if to try to rid herself of insects... she sighed and turned her gaze away.
Aeron gave a comforting smile and took a step closer, then swatted a imaginary insect to comfort her further. That seemed to soothen Coristias expression a bit and draw a mildly amused expression to her face
Y-you d-don't n-need t-to... w-we b-both k-know t-there's n-none.. b-but t-thank y-you... f-for s-showing t-the .. mmh... l-large p-pool. as lack of better word for the sea. She looked towards it again, then Aeron asked
I have been meaning to ask... why are you here? Coristia blinked and looked at him dumbfoundedly
Y-you b-brought h-her h-here. she stuttered, which got a slight chuckle out of Aeron
Good answer, bad question... I mean what brought you in Sigil?, she gave him a prolonged thoughtful expression as she pursed her lower lip...
S-she w-was b-born i-in S-Sigil. mmh.. a thoughtful hum emitted from her lips and she looked at Aeron again, then murmured..
I.. I have a confession to make. this time no stutter..
A music to fit the theme Aeron was a good listener, he didn't judge which helped Coristia to tell him of her past, and how three intruders had come into her house when she was young. She got to the part when she was violated and about to get further until a twitch... the trembling and weeping child was gone as the tormenting apparition from her subconscious took over once more. A grin came into her face as she turned to look at Aeron with the new fearless, deadly intent, she told in calm cold tone
Coristia... don't go on to tell rest of the story. her cold glare casted at Aeron as she continued
The bitch really likes you to tell this. a snarl and cackle emitted from her.
Aeron thought a moment as he looked at Coristia
I like her also he said and observed the reaction. Another snarl from the tormenter
I'm trying to decide whether I should let you live or kill you... I so enjoy seeing her suffer, but would I go too far if I killed you? Choices.. choices.. a brooming chuckle as she leaned closer to Aeron, petting him and nearly hugging him. Her head tilted forwards giving a more menacing glare despite her demeanor.
Who are you? asked Aeron while still trying to study the new person before him. The tormented Coristia casted a dark and wide grin, rather than answering she started to hum a mildly melancholic tune she had hummed so many times before, a tune possibly familiar to Aeron, once more a hollow dark song emitted from her lips
Don't you worry child... don't you fear at all... your father died, so you may live... don't you worry child... don't you fear at all... we will kill them all a dark cackle from her ended the song and she darkly admitted
I've made my choice. she shoved Aeron roughly whom was forced to take as step back, the female stronger than at first glance might seem.
You need me. Aeron tried, but that only got another grin out of the tormented Coristia
Let us play. she said coldly and drew her rapier from sheath, preparing to strike. Aeron managed to chant a single spell before she attacked, his bones cracked and snapped as the physical form was forced to alter into the new shape of Gargoyle, Coristia attacked with a fast pierce towards the chest, Aeron tried to step back to avoid, alas the spellcasting had taken too long to avoid it anymore a loud growl of pain hurled out of the creatures throat, the shape was forcefully removed and Aeron forced to his knees holding his chest in the sand. Coristias blade had only barely avoided vitals on the strike, but that mistake might not have persisted as she seemed to strut closer...
She halted, the pain on her forehead once more booming, as if head was going to explode. She was forced to her knees as well and the grip of the hilt of rapier loosened, it dropped to the sand. Last angry glare casted at Aeron, her grin widened of a grim fate promise. Then she twitched and the skittish girl had returned, she trembled and shook her head
N-n-no.. n-no! she hadn't want this to happen... much to her surprise Aeron remained understanding, using a pearl of power to patch up the wound, she whimpered and weeped, nearly jumped forwards to hug Aeron and weep on his shoulder.
The situation lasted for while longer, Coristia slowly calming down under Aerons compassionate attitude. She stuttered
P-please d-don't t-tell a-anyone.. o-or t-they w-will l-lock h-her a-away a-again... her expression one of begging. Aeron promised. After that she however admitted quietly
M-maybe C-Coristia r-really b-belongs t-to S-Solitary C-Confinement... b-but s-she d-doesn't w-want t-there... to which Aeron simply replied
Nobody belongs to solitary confinement. None the less Coristia needed some time alone to think, so they parted their ways.
*After the incidence she made another sketch*
A picture which depicts a light silver-blue hued short haired woman weeping on a shoulder of a man in dark robe embracing her in return with a genuine expression of compassion. Background is on a beach with a single bloodied rapier lying on the sand... and empty sheath on the females hip. [/li]
