It was time. I have been planning this for a long time now, and seeing how things turned out, I could not dally any longer.
Quietly I left her side, slinking out of bed like a thief in the night. I had the urge to laugh, I was one. I put on my clothes, the ones that Mashanie wears. This deed had to be done by him, not by the masked and hooded man.
Silently I crept up the stairs, listening to the soft murmurs and movements of the night. I opened the trap door leading up slowly, keeping it from crackling and screaching. I made my way through the main floor of the hideout, blanketing myself with the calm silence and darkness of the shadows around me. The door was the only thing left. Good thing I made repairs.
The night air outside was cold and damp, the everflowing acidic rain dripping down on me. The ever present light of Sigil illuminated the sorrounding, but no one was in sight. No wonder, after what happened not long ago.
I made my way through the streets, to the terrace overlooking the great river of the hive. Found myself a nice and cozy corner to retreat to. Falling on my knees, looking for that item in my pockets I haven't used in what seems like years now. I felt the cold draw from the waterfront, and the dripping water on my skin, making it itch. Holding the little silver amulet in my hands, I raised my head to the skies.
"I know I don't call out to you as much as you would like, my Goddess. But times were good and times were bad, and I have come to accept your ways, and what you had in store for me. Lately, you seemed to like what my way turned out to be, and you gave me something more precious then all the gold in this world. And I thank you from the deepest recesses of my soul for that. And yet, for the first time in years, I have come before you with a request."
I stopped for a minute, pondering whether I really had the right to ask her of anyhting, after the boons she showered me with. But it had to be done, if not for anything else, to ease myself.
"Tymora, Lady of those who live and die by your divine hands, ruler of those who rely on your grace in hardships, Goddess of those who chose Luck as their faith, here me out. It is not for myself I wish your eyes to look kindly, but for those that my faith is entwined with. I beseech you, smile upon my comrades, smile upon my love, and grant us your favor in these troubled times. I don't wish for nothing else, that they all survive the coming days in health, and that they all may smile carefree some day. I cannot offer you much for this boon, but what I have is at your disposal, as has always been. And I can offer you.. entertainment. For I fear we all will rely on your ways much in coming days."
As I silenced, and gazed at the ever blinking sun of this place, my thoughts kept on racing. She is so far away, she might not even care anymore.. Or she might think she has given me more then one mortal is due. But I had to do this. I sighed, then sneaked back into the hideout, back to my friends, and back to the side of my deadly princess. As I lay there, as always, her scent and warmth comforted my soul. And as I was overcome by the touch of dreams, I think I heard a voice whisper to me. And it made me smile.

The end of the line
And so it ends. I wonder if there had been another way. I sincerely doubt it.
Started out as a nice enough day, I survived the meeting, despite the fact that my "benefactors" knew everything I did. I was given promise of death, should I not abide and keep my mouth shut from now on. Yet I was happy, that I could walk away unscathed. Funny thing.
I was sitting at the table in our refuge, waiting for anyone to return. Mir went to look for Kelth, she had news for him, it seemed. Her little friend fluttering about my head idly chittering about, I was deep in thoughts. Tried to figure it all out, to make sense, and to find a way. But it all changed, when they arrived.
She told us who Shadowsworn could be, and of the other cloaked figures we saw the other day. And i was so careful, I didn't think nothing about it. Looking at her, carefully thinking, I just let out the usual lie. But it did not work this time.
I still could not say a word, by back to the hearth, clinging onto the chair I was sitting on not long ago. She talked instead of me, while I just stood there in agony. Then I thought, I really deserve this. And yet, I still could not speak. Even nodding take an enormous effort. I was a double agent, yes. I told them everything. And I don't know how they found out the rest.
I didn't even notice when Naya entered, I could barely move. Kelth interrogated HIM, then glanced at me with those feline eyes. He took my hand, interested in a ring I received from a friend. And I felt the urge to sink my blade into his heart.
I glanced at Naya, her scythe reflecting the flames of the fireplace. It took me all my willpower to utter the words.. "Do.. it.. already!".
She lept forward, crashing through the table before her. I glanced at my deadly princess, who stood there, against the wall, not wanting to acknowledge what was about to happen. I smiled at her, then greeted the angel of death with the scythe bathed in firey red with another one. And then the seering, penetrating feeling of pain...

Angelus Errare, Part I
I woke at the sound of the ocean. Slowly opening my eyes, the bright sun blinded me for a second. I felt the warm sand beneath me, the cool breeze of the wind heading inwards from the sea. I smiled as the waves hit my bare feet with a cool shower. And I felt her hand in mine. I turned my head to the left, to see her.
Se lay there, seemingly half asleep. Her small frame didn't even leave a mark in the sand around her, her silver colored hair spreading over the white beach, reflecting the ligth, her azure blue eyes looking into mine. She was an angel. My platinum haired angel. I turned my body towards her, she did the same. I felt her lips, and I was at peace.
- o - o - o -
We took a stroll on the beach again. Walking side by side, just the two of us. The other people in the village had stopped giving us the funny eye already. The fiendspawn and the Aasimar walking hand in hand.. the unholy union they called us in the beginning. Like I cared. In the distance, i could see the ship I arrived on. It was still in bad shape from the storm. It could take months, or even more to repair. And no one would come to this place. But I didn't care. I had everything in the world I ever wanted.
- o - o - o -
I woke to her singing. She was kneeling there, near the small lagoon, singing to seemingly herself. She was as the gods have made her, and I take pleasure in her sight. She turned, looking at me, and giggled. Crept closer to me, and covered me with her own body...

Angelus Errare, Part II
"- Do you still love me?
- Of course I do, how could I not?
- Then why don't you have it anymore?
- Have what?
- Hmmh, doesn't matter."
It was night, Selune shining down in a cold, bright ligt, drawing a bridge upon the water. She was already asleep, I was sitting on the shore. Her words still lingering in me, I was thinking. I looked out on the sea. From the edge of my eye, I saw something. I blinked, and stared into the vastness of the dark sea. There it was again. Seemed like fire. The edge of the horizon was on fire...
- o - o - o -
I told her what I saw, she only nodded and smiled at me in a sad way. "You'll find out eventually what it is" she said. I didn't know why that made her sad, she usually liked new things. We sat together on the beach again, but it was still there. Now deep red, it was still burning just over the horizon. And it catched my eye from time to time. And I knew she noticed.
- o - o - o -
I woke in the dead of night. An image burned in my mind, of a little gem, a singing gem. I left her side, and walked to the beach. I glanced out to the sea, and the apparition was still there. Somehow it seemed comforting, to look at it. I strained my eyes, and tried to take it all in. A blazing pillar of fire, rising to the skies. I saw a silhouette of a being in it. The last thing I remember were those burning, yellow eyes glaring at me, before I fell on the sand.
- o - o - o -
"- You're going?
- Yes, I have to.
- But I need you.
- No, you don't. You never did.
- But I love you!
- As do I. And I'll never forget you. But I need to be at her side now.
- There's no guarantee you can get back here.
- I don't care. All I want now is to be with her. To tell her how much she means to me."
Without looking at her, without turning back, I ran down the beach, to the docks. I darted past the people, all eyeing me distraught, and ran up to the ship. It was already leaving, my comrades looking about from the main deck. I ran as fast as I could, and in a final attempt, jumped from the end of the wooden dock, flying through the air, and hitting on the side of the ship hard. A hand reached out for me. A small-framed, gentle, fragile hand. As I looked up, I saw the pillar of fire coming down on the ship, consuming us all. I took the hand, and let it yank me on board...

It has been a whole day since then. Coming crashing back through the veil, feeling the soaring pain, as my heart beat once again, putting my blood in motion, feeling the air as I breathed it in, only to choke and cough up some of my red fluids in the process. Every part of me ached, my whole body felt like on fire. But I was back.
Those I have lied to, those who should have let me die, all around me, with worry on their faces. I can't remember, if it was sorrow or happiness that overcame me that moment. It all blurred together into a chain of movements, feelings, words. The only thing I remember clearly is the warm touch of hers on my face, and her gentle care. But maybe because that is the only thing I really want to remember.
I told the whole story, I said everything I had to keep to me, all details that were heavy on my heart for a long while now. I don't know how many times I intertwined into my tale how sorry I was, but words alone are not enough. And allthough I know and feel that Kelth mean what he said, I still have a lot to make up for.
A lot changed, we now make our preparations, the numbers of our allies increased temporarly, but there is something that has me more worried than a thousand Mariuses.
Mir told us someone tried to summon her after a long while. I know she is not like me, but I never really cared for what she is. I only care for who she is. And I will do everything in my power to keep her safe. As temporary measure, I keep an important item to her always with me, so if something would happen, we could find her.
Though it was her idea I would agree with most. Find out where the summons came from, go there, and solve this permanently. But not now, we have other problems at hand that need to be solved. But after this is over....

The night of the ball grows near
I arrived at the tavern to find Mir and Kelth there, along with a woman I haven't met yet. But the secret was lifted soon afterwards, as Hild arrived in a hurry, with some medicine in hands. She was Kree, whom he told me about. Seeing them together, I again thought that this hardened man does too have a weakness. He was just as exhausted as his sick chosen, and yet he did not rest. I think that respect he talks of is getting mutual. What a strange thing to think about the man who almost sent me over the veil for good.
Sometimes it is extremely hard to keep a straight face. For example when the man you suspect to be your deadly enemy asks your for protection. As I stood there in the tavern, listening to his mumbling, glancing at Hilds ice cold expression, and watching Kelth intently listening, the urge to laugh like a madman came over me.
Oh believe me, I would love to watch you. Especially at night. When you sleep. My stomach cramped from my efforts to hold in the laughter. Luckily, he left to discuss something with Kelth. Then it came all out. I wonder if this is a sign Lilliara warned us of, but I couldn't help but be excited, and await the ball. And our turn to dance.
Yes, a dance of death with my deadly princess, leaving carnage and destruction in our wake. For the sake of revenge. I promised myself that it will be a day to remember. And no force in this multiverse will keep me from it. She will suffer, she will feel pain, and I will do it slowly. And then, if we find a way...
Zilvai arrived a bit later, on dragonback no less. It turned out the beast is Animus Sensbane, whom my friends seem to know, but I think I've only seen him once or twice. He seemed like a nice soul, for dragon and man alike. Too bad not everybody tries to talk to dragons. There were a lot of curses and accusations flying around, as pretty much everyone had their own ides about dragons. In the end Zil and Animus took off, and Kelth yelled at everyone to shut up.
He left for a bit, and I could have a little time alone with my dearest. Though most of the time it's just teasing, innuendos and jestly bickerings, I enjoy these times the most. He came back later, and judging from the smile and relieved expression on Mirs face, I gathered he found something to her problem. It seems I owe him more and more by the day.
My love has the tendency to say what is no her mind, as do I most of the time, but it turns out it is not always a good thing. She just let loose a comment, which I too was thinking, but it would have been better, if both of us would have kept it to ourselves. Kelth seemed very disturbed and angry by it, and left not soon after. Mir wanted to go after him, and as I was just as guilty, I followed.
We found him singing a lonely and dreary song in the Lady's Ward. As I stood next to him, eyeing the rooftops of the ward, an image befell me. The one I've seen in his sensory stone some time ago. When he finished, I just stared at him, a thousand thoughts racing through my mind. And yes, he was right, we must learn to stay silent.. and I'm kinda still waiting for that punch....

What a strange day this was..
First I had a runin with a Paladin at the inn, and discussed a few things. Seems there are more of the friendlier sort then I thought. She even apologized for the transgressions of her counterparts back on Toril. Nice lass, that one.
Then I nicked in at the table, the next thing I see is Linda feeding potions to Mir. Since I was overcome by the sudden urge to murder the broad in daylight, I took a stroll instead. I met Kelth in the Lady's Ward, in a dark mood, yet again. He had a little argument with Zilvai over our ways. We talked about that a bit, then he took a detour, and started asking me about my relationship with Mir. And the things he said pretty much riled me up. I know he means well, but it's none of his ducking business.
After I left him I met Zilvai and Animus, and talked with Zil about what was troubling her about Kelth. It seems that I can level her a bit more then he, because it was a thoroughly enjoyable conversation. I need to remember to visit her sometimes, so she doesn't feel that alone.
I was still a bit under the weather, and irked, when the call for a meeting went out. But my dearest managed to make me forget all that. She cast a spell on me, to make me bigger, and grinned like a barmy when we entered our refuge. I even took her on my shoulders and laughed like hells. She really knows how to put me at ease.
Most of the talk was around Zil, and both Mir and I tried to make Kelth see what the poor girls opnion on things is, and that he should be a bit more lenient.
In the end, we each retreated to our separate accomodations for a little alone time. Which is getting pretty hard in a cramped space like that.
Then, after we made sure Kelth and Naya were already asleep, my love had the strangest of ideas. I chuckled and went along with it. Can't say I regretted it, either.

Of Temples and Void
The day was spent exploring and discussing various matters. Chant was that new portals popped up in Sigil, some permanent. First, I noticed an influx in new faces in the place. Then we found a few places to discover.
It was strange to watch Krtsm wake up, and put on his armor, to walk the streets again. He meat up with his partner, and decided to explore a bit of the city, just for the fun of it.
We headed into Under Sigil, and wound up in the village. A giant cog appeared out of nowhere, and thought both suspected it to be a portal, none of their items worked as a key. But they discovered, that the Temple up the hill seemed to have opened it's doors, so they went investigating.
Attacked all of a sudden by crazy eyed maniacs, they fought their way through the winding and dimly lit corridors, to happen across a big chamber. There, within a pool of liquid, they came upon a Night black tentacle. From the books scattered around, they gathered it was a manifestation of some Dark Elemental God, who apparently tried to destroy the universe. More interesting was the fact that he had nice treasure somewhere in the multiverse. Krtsm thought it might be worth checking out.
Then Azrielle showed up, seemingly drawn to the place as well. After their reunion, they happened upon and old man, who was accompanied by a vampire. Bergimon his tag was, and though he was wary of the trio, tagged along. Azrielle was less then pleased, issuing a silent death warrant for the vampire.
After leaving the temple behind, the Cog lit up as a portal, as Azrielle passed it. The party ventured through, only to be greeted by the darkest of nights ever possible.
I shivered, and saw that Mir was uncomfortable, too.
The party ventured onward, reaching a city. Death of Innocence, an ominous name it bore. They entered it's walls, and scouted about.
Necropolis.. the word that stuck in my mind, as I looked about on the streets, and my stomach shrunk, my senses smelled danger oozing from the darkness.
After wandering the streets, they agreed in leaving the place for now. Azrielle had to go, after they returned safely, but the two mercenaries took up Bergimons offer, and went for a drink. They discussed many things, mostly how unimpressed they were with the Harmonium.
I angrily glanced at Mir, as she misspoke herself. I know she was somewhere else, planning, scheming, but still. We can't be discovered.
The trio left the inn, and said their farewells topside.
I turned to her, and explained what made me upset. And all I could think about was that infernal smiles she had down in the inn. I did what I do best, and calmed her.

She told me of yet another attempt of a summons, and another vision. The one trying to take her away is here, in Sigil. Finally something I can face. My mind shifting to overdrive, I presented a few options I saw as viable. I can't just linger around, waiting for Kelth to learn the warding we were about to apply.
But as long as it is something I can find, and stop, I will do anything and everything.
Fargul came back for a short respite. He told us he had yet something to finish in Toril. A bit later, Bergimon showed up, suggesting we try ourselves at one of the newly opened portals. Though I shivered at the thought of that place again, I said yes.
We were six in the end, even Zilvai wanted to tag along. We ventured through the portal, do the dark and foreboding Castle in the Gray Wastes. Most of my friends were hardened veterans of war themselves, but nothing could have prepared us for the onslaught. I watched helplessly as they fell to the ground, while trying to get out of the circle of weapons that sorrounded me. The undead showed no mercy.
I woke in the Mortuary. Another defeat, I stated, limping out of the place, shuddering from the cold touch of the slab I was lying on.
Later that day, I ran into my beloved, and went along with her for a little exploration. We ventured into the Beastlands, and she showed me the waterfall of Brux. It was a sight to behold, numbing me for minutes, feeling small and nothing compared to the thundering down water masses. We sat on the shore, watching the water, flipping rocks on it's surface. And then, as I always do when we share a moment like this, lost myself in her.
We did discover a cave near the falls though, inhabited by wolves and some crazed dryads. After clearing out the place, we both agreed that it would make a nice home, given a few extras here and there. Well, if one is ever fed up with Sigil, it would be a nice retreat.
To be her voice of reason, that was her wish. And it is also mine. Sometimes I watch with worry and dread, as her more primal insticts surface, trying to evaporate that happy and cheerful part of her, that is mortal. She is my anchor to this mortal realm, and it seems I have become the same for her. And I don't have any regrets.

The strangest of things can happen, if one cares to look. While hanging out at Khazeet's Bar, we met an ogre. He offered cookies, bound with neat ribbons. I was at first perplexed at the offering, but took one anyway.
Didn't regret it either, it was delicious. It turned out the creature is an avid cook and confectioneer. It was really strange listening to him, as he gave us the details of his grand dream, owning his own restaurant somewhere, cooking for his friends and guests, having rooms with a nice view, being independent.
It was a nice dream, and he really got me thinking along, my mind trying to picture the place he described. A place of his own, to share with the people he is fond of. Made me remember the room we had to left behind because of the circumstances. Still, he made me smile.
Dreams like this are worth to held onto. He was a wise creature, and his words hit me where it counts. Must remember to see him again, and offer my help in his endevour. Seems like a worthy goal to strive for.
