"Whilst enjoying this heat called sauna and seeing this manner of cleansing and relaxing from his culture, I debated the worg beast with Isolfr speaking of my talks and hunts with the two gnolls. One easily seen as brother, the other as having no honour, yet on this I challenged and gave example, base though it is. As for the worg, yes, it is pitiful, yes, it is formed by abominable experiment and has lost its aspect of wolf...but no I would not see it corrupt -his- pack, no I would not allow the unnatural to taint or threaten the natural pack adn both their futures but I would not see it extinguished for no reason. Pipedream perhaps though of mine to want to bind one for it is beast still. It is not the beast's fault for having been tormented and adapted. I remain fascinated and yet to preserve the natural balance in company of wolf pack would warrant this beast to be put down or rendered infertile....the latter I could achieve should it be necessary. At back of my mind...and I have barely spoken of this to him or any...having gnoll and their companions as hunting hounds would ease the burden to me when I am finally ready to attempt the summoning."
"We spoke of Drakos, the unicorn horn, his long lost daughter, of more of my beasts...and...of our agreement which becomes easier in my mind the more time I spend with him...our understanding grows and I accepted this court behaviour......both in awareness of the limitations upon me. I have seven seasons left and mutual task to fulfil. If I fail in mine, I can look back upon this time to sustain me during that infinite hunt. If I succeed, I can enjoy the rewards of fulfilment...and much as I wish to see and be with my daughter and brother again...life in this wolf pack is tempting."

"With such a gathering that ebbed and flowed across the hours I saw much and made plans for more meetings, foundations and furtherance."
"Tilee was tested by impatient dragon, pushed to respond to learn his 'lesson' of trust. Sign it was but trust comes not from such an act imposed but through talk and time and bond. I saw the interactions of dragon and daughter, a relationship still new to each, learning how to bond. One with tendancy to overprotect the independent female soul, one unused to this one's fatherly presence. They will have struggle ahead of them and would do well to take that time to allow good bond...dragon blood may clash more there than cooperate calmly...it will certainly be...interesting."
"During all this I made my preparations of more snake skins with herbal solution and softening with oils, as I listened and contributed, commanded and scolded at times, yet always hopeful that still I furthered the interests of the Circle though I may perhaps have hindered too....it will be what it will be."
"Isolfr retired with grunt to tent having tended his own leathers, his shewolf followed. Chani of Drakos appeared bored and wandered for walk. A halfling, Otari the Silent approached quietly seeming familiar with the area only to face overreaction of dragon again until welcomed to join. And the arcanist Shand of the Green appeared whom I managed a few quiet words with until I too moved on to tend my beasts."
"Is the task for you, personally, or for someone else?"
"Both....it is complex...I speak the truth"
"I saw him wipe the oil transferred from my hand to his after releasing mine. Trust....I will impart what I can in parts as we deal together and hope that this problem keeps his interest for my need without telling him the all."
"There are many tasks ahead to prepare and participants to charm to my aid. Would that Danielle of the Visions could teach me her ways, beasts are easier to handle."

She pulled on the gloves as yet unworn since being gifted and felt the hide brush skin and the flow of energy surge into her..and she felt closer to the spirit of wolf.
She flexed her fingers slowly and with that movement it seemed as if five great claws unsheathed from her knuckles, yet invisible to the eye...the power and strength of a telthor wolf, a binding to an spirit animal of a prime plane...was now hers

"I enjoyed the circle of three and its offerings, gift of books and runes to explore the planes at the safety of my realm in exchange for snake skins that I had treated and oiled, close contact and mutual caress bringing me comforts and thoughts of holding my daughter again thus to one side, embracing brother again to the other...though a more sensual triangle than that of direct family, it aided to calm my thoughts."
"Entwined and linked, we made discussions of the movements of sidhe and unseelie, the eyes and ears of beasts and preparation of pitfalls to guard and protect the haven. There was talk of dragon manners, gnoll hunting companion and worg, an easing of rigidity in acceptance of beast...all in order to safeguard the harmony desired for the Circle and to manage our goals. Conversation turned to mutual aid...and it was here the circle completed again, balance between three is still balance, as I learned of Danielle's need for trusted friends to face something of her past, need of both muscle and mind. Selfish it was not, we all have need and each can help the other to face the trials ahead."
"The confession of a whisper of consummation desirous of entropy paused us all and led again to more serious thought. The only thing I could liken it to was a ritual I sometimes performed in order to truly know a beast that I might take upon myself better the shape and spirit, that of consuming something of the creature. Yet this was darker and more worrisome, that such a whisper would linger and dominate. Between the two women, we gave him interpretation from both our crafts and though only rudimentary my knowledge, herself lacking in the divinity, a ritual of purging was proposed...to be done carefully and in secrecy."
"Across once more the sleeping 'pup', quieter whisper led to full admission of his desire. I see it clearly now without 'shroud' as he would say yet the path is still covered in mists of the fates and hazy games of the gods, a golden prize of fulfillment still way out of reach."

“In the absence of wolves, I walk and hunt with gnoll, the twain still as yet to meet. How long it will last I know not but I have the respect of a fierce some gnoll, bloodthirsty to the extreme but...I understand him. He is simple, base...yet..unswerving, instinctive, canine, not wolf, but...with his own kind of honour. He protects the pack and the pack leader...me. He agreed to act as hound and will refrain from a final bloody kill if I should so command it. It is enough. The other I met with secretively to hear of disturbing news and acted accordingly to warn and prepare. I have yet to ask his favour to hound. ”
“Chaste she is but not entirely innocent. She has blood on her hands yet she will have to do. At least I know her, believe I can trust her. The other I am aware of is supposedly chaste but goes with girls, not wholly chaste and virginal to my mind. Again, neither is perfect but I work with what I can. To find purest innocent virgin in Sigil is perhaps a tall order. Another ritual of cleansing might ease the way and give good bait to lure the prey, bond it to me. She has agreed to help. Thus far, so good.”
“I seek the arcanist again soon to make the preparations. Four things we must gather to share the burden, expensive and rare to find all four. Time this will take. And then there is the dragon....he will be the hardest to persuade to my will, but his skills will be perhaps the most important. I cannot fail.”
“The fey stir and seek alliance wider than their own. Sidhe and unseelie now play games and I shall take no sides but strive to keep the balance as all who wish to build this Circle will do. My grove in the outlands is keen to make alliance to grove of the Beastlands. My personal aims and tasks must move along side this as well, balancing personal needs with wider issue is always difficult but must be done.”

"What were his words? 'On my world, a grove is created through a prolonged ritual' but he made abbreviated ceremony...which was just as well, for by the time the blessings of all aspects were given a call was heard from away to the forests of Brux."
The Blessing of the Grove of Brux
Aspect of dragon scattered ashes formed from the falls water, the earth to the shore and the fire the circle had created. The blessing was made and ashes scattered. Drakos made declaration that the grove at the falls was now 'A place of sanctuary and a place where our spirits can touch the very essence of raw nature. This land is blessed. Sacrosanct to nature. Let those who would dispoil the beauty of this place have their skin flayed from their body and their organs fed to the carrion birds.'
Blood from cut of the fenris wolf tooth was dropped upon fire ash and runic symbol made together with an oath and blessing from aspect of wolf, to defend the soil of the grove Circle by tooth and claw and to accept to die a gruesome death. The symbolic gesture was repeated and blood of dragon, cut by the wolf tooth was added to the ashes.
Too much was at stake for Sirin to join that of the blood oath and blessing of the wolf to defend it to the death but she made her own ritual as aspect of the Outlands of earth and beast by placing a small fired clay pot to the stones of the campfire, crushing it and scattering it to the area by a gust of wind.
'This clay pot was formed with my own hands...from the earth, fire and water of my homeland grove. I came as emissary from Tir Na Og in the outlands, at vision and call of the dragon....to make alliance between our groves...to ensure this one formed and formed strong'
The call in the forest was heard during this and told of something amiss. As the others took up arms and armour, Sirin would not be swayed from that moment, and although it was rushed, she ensured her ritual was completed for the grove to be made sacred and the alliance between groves of the beastlands and outlands was secured.
The dire wolf present had only moments for his simple ritual before the four raced off to deal with the commotion.

"Are we in balance? This gnoll and I? I fear I have lost track and I dislike that."
"A pair boots were paid for and given for his courage and strength brought to the pack during our hunts, a pair I had seen within Tilee's offerings and thought suitable for his clawed feet, not to mention would go someway to prevent him from falling asleep in the temple below the city, keep him in better health and allow us all quicker movement. I recall the first time he fell to the mind magic of one cultist and dropped to the ground snoring, leaving his new whelp Deepclaw, Domh and myself to finish off the pair of cultists. After they were torn apart by tusk, fist and claw, I knelt by him and used the opportunity to stroke his bloody furred coat, chuckling as his leg kicked out. He refused to walk through the room of water, for to wash it off, was to wash off the scents and blood of his prey which he wore as a cloak of honor."
"In the market, before I knew it, he had bought for me as return of bought gift a belt from Mir of Mir & Co that had been marked for reserve in my name. My debt to the ogre of the same trading outfit was settled by Graawl using gemstone, after which I gave him two old amulets of mine and and a crossbow I had found in attempt to reduce my debt to him. I now own new belt, gloves that bring more power to my fists and a staff of the earth....which in my vanity I could not resist buying. It is highly fitting to have that staff in my possession as I was born under the sign of the earth."
"And although he says he has need of nothing, I would have fairness and balance in our dealings. I think the answer is...perhaps."

"I have obtained the second gnoll's interest to the magnificent hunt. Protect him I must as he leads dangerous dance between two camps."
"Two gnoll of their calibre can guide the pack of the great hound beasts of the burning eyes, a third would be better to reduce the burden...such beast must be capable of keeping the scent, tracking even a prey that bears none over any terrain be it rock or running water."

"Graawl was welcomed with honour into the pack on proviso he keeps tight control of the worgen brother he runs with and keeps him away from the konigen shewolf. I am.....pleased that Isolfr made this decision....more than pleased."
"Tilee of Aeon, finally agreed to join the Circle, her word is good for me, firmly spoken. Drakos can take oath as he wishes from her...the male she walks with spoke of his friendship to the Circle also. He and the unusual beasts he can summon are amusing, but I do not so far hear or see depth of character...I wonder how strong he would stand when faced with hard decision for survival...I can but hope that the path of that shewolf encourages him to more."
"Lhyrg ....is different to Graawl, younger in spirit, more vunerable, sensitive....susceptible. It was a question of survival. I blame him not but he must deal with the consequences and consider his choices and now knows the difference. A lesson learned the hard way. I remain open to him should he seek my advice again...if it continues, against his will...I will deal with her myself."
"Yet again, the actions of orcs show their depravity and lack of respect for the natural way."
"I hear the sound of the Sidhe army as they gather and ready. Though no blood oath I swore I have no choice but to defend. Without this grove and its members, its friends and allies, my own plans will come to naught. My beasts are recalled from their patrols, one sent out as messenger to those of the pack and Circle to find way here to defend. "
"The orc chief stands before us with choice given. There is no choice. Be gone!"

"As I wait, calm before the storm, I reflect on recent meetings and developments and journeys, all with the hope that the fates allow me more time, that I shall see the other side of this to complete what I must."
"Reliant on magical cloth to clean robe afterwards, the arcanist partook with abandonment the feast of a whole side of roasted goat, unexpected and near matching the hunger of aspect of wolf sharing meal with gnoll at the campfire. Once replete, finally would he allow talk. Far be it from Sirin of the Shalm come between any beast and his meal."
"He would help to acquire the four things each would need, one by one though I only spoke of the first. The first, his cloak, the easiest of the four, to be of highest quality than any simple cloak. I needed to know the shade of his soul to source the second item and for this, the cloak would also give me the answer if he was so willing to allow. He was. I told him to buy such a cloak and have it coloured to reflected the shade of his soul, that the next time we meet, I would know this by simply noting the shade upon his back. If he lies, the spell will fail and the burden will fall then all to my shoulders. I have to trust him in this. The next time we met I saw the shade of cloak he had acquired and my lips smirked. So, either he lies or he follows similar to myself. This will help me to source the second."
"I journeyed with another, a knight of the arcane, his prowess upon the hunt admirable and I saw how he helped to protect one weaker than himself, not once but twice, during the plane travels as well as working well within pack of larger number. While he is of the arcane, I came across similarity in thinking. A city-boy from a prime, searching for knowledge of the key to the city to..unravel the thread of it. The weaker one, held secrets at bay, with external scar, defensive and agressive upon prying question. I backed off. Some scars are not always so openly seen but we deal with them through calm wisdom."
"After wild hunt in large pack in the swamplands against the infernals of Baator, I asked of the knight to keep watch when he could over the arcanist who joined us, stating the importance of keeping the man alive. The strength and power of the warrior could help the weaker arcanist, the one I need to share the burden. He agreed."
"The arcanist mentioned stones of weirding that could be used to where natural diplomacy was lacking. I was interested and will find out more, I am not aware of my grove having dealt with them, but then I was never always a party to the methods that the Elders used to maintain the grove. It could be useful for many situation, be it the current strife with the fey or indeed, furtherance and finale to my goals when dealing with 'higher powers' should the dragons own skills be not enough."
