Basic Information
Name: Ba'al-Berith.
Aliases: Sir Berith, Lord Berith.
Gender: Male.
Race: Human Death Knight.
Age: Berith has spent so long fighting in the Blood War that his exact age, as well as a lot of his past, eludes him. It is irrelevant to him now, though he is, at the least, two hundred years of age.
Profession: A soldier of Hell, Ba'al-Berith spends his time fighting in the Blood War. The time he spends at Sigil is when he is given leave or sent on a task by his superiors.
Languages: Common, Infernal, Celestial, Cant.
Accent: He speaks with a hiss, which is certainly not due to his being a Death Knight. He used to speak with long pauses between each sentence, but has since overcome that. Aside from this, he has no accent at all.

Physical Information
Height: He stands at six feet and six inches.
Weight: A skeleton, he weighs only as much as his armor does, which varies significantly.
Body build: Skeletal.
Skin type: None.
Hair style: None.
Scars: His bones are covered with scars, where they've been burnt, cracked, snapped and crushed. But even these bone shattering injuries have not slain him.
Tattoos: Perhaps in life, but not now.
Colouring:
Hair: None. Eyes: Red. Skin: None.[/li]
Mental Information
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Philosophy: He believes, fervently and honestly, that the Nine Hells of Baator are the only chance anyone has to live in paradise. He believes that Baator is not the hell that people believe it to be, that it is, instead, a fundamental revising of the mortal soul into something greater. He believes that the torture of the damned is nothing more than removing the impurities of their mortal souls so that they can transcend into the sacred form of a Baatezu. He considers himself, as a Death Knight, a sacred champion of Asmodeus allowed another chance to serve his lord in death. He believes that, in time, he will die as Asmodeus intended him to, and that he will be rewarded justly, that the torture his soul will receive is both righteous and necessary.

He further holds himself to a code of honor, similar to that of a Paladin. He believes that holding to these precepts will allow him entry into Baator, and will give him a higher station in the hierarchy of Hell. While he is definitely evil, he rigidly holds himself to this code, which dictates that he must not kill children or those too weak to defend themselves. It is, in many ways, a dark reflection of the Paladin's code of honor.
Deity/Beliefs: He worships Asmodeus as the God Supreme, Lord of the Universe. He also worships the other Lords of Hell, though in a lesser capacity. He gives respect and reverence to their allies, but does not worship them.
Personality: Berith is taciturn and bound to a grim code of honor, his sole purpose is dedicated to the Blood War, the only thing he sees as significant. He is almost humorless, laughing only at the darkest of jokes. He often speaks using archaic terms. While he despises Angels and those of Celestial heritage, he has long since cast away any plans he had for laying them low, now focused utterly on destroying demonkind. While his capacity for kindness has dwindled into almost nothingness, he is loyal to his friends and allies, holds unswerving devotion to Asmodeus and the cause of Hell, and he has a healthy respect for those that fight against all odds. This is, of course, countered by his zealous nature and his lack of mercy, for his code does not forbid the slaughter of prisoners or the enslavement of cities. For the cause of Baator, he is willing to sacrifice everything, including himself if need be.

Additional Information
Gear: Berith almost always wears armor, which while it varies in make, it never varies in color. Black and red are his staples, and it is all invariably decorated with pentagrams and symbols of Asmodeus. He always wields a morningstar, making use of no other weapon save when absolutely necessary. Always on his person is a morningstar forged for him by V'azari Byeshk, no matter what weapon he uses, always it is on his person.
Jewelry: Wearing nothing but that which is necessary, Berith often wears magical rings or necklaces. Often, these are not infernal in nature and do not feature pentagrams or diabolic symbols, and they change as needed.
Habits/hobbies: While his ultimate purpose is winning the Blood War, Berith enjoys intellectual debates, always arguing for the cause of Baator, when he makes impassioned arguments is when he truly comes to 'life', becoming more like he was in life than he is in death.
General Health: A Death Knight and a corpse, Berith is healthy for someone that's dead. However, his bones constantly crack and grind as he moves, fighting against every motion he makes. This is likely due to either age or the sheer amount of injuries he has sustained over the years, but this only ever goes away during the vigor of combat, and even then it is only temporary.
Favorite Drink: As a corpse, Berith drinks nothing. However, he considers negative energy to be as a fine wine, and indulges in that when necessary.
Weaknesses: Berith is a zealous fanatic who is, quite literally, incapable of understanding why Baator is not what he makes it out to be. He understands and knows that torture awaits him there, but like a fanatic, he views it as just and righteous. He does not understand that he will not be afforded any special status in Baator once he truly dies, nor does he know that the Nine Hells will not bring about the ultimate and true peace that he believes awaits the Multiverse. He gladly follows devils into impossible missions, assured that he will die only when Asmodeus wills him, and that he will be granted a position in Baator corresponding to his fanaticism in life. As such, he does not fear death, which is in of itself a weakness.

He also shares all of the weaknesses of the undead, something he tries to take great pains to rectify. Further, his code of conduct is a weakness to be exploited. He will never take up arms against those too weak to fight back, nor will he kill children. Like a Paladin, he will never conceal his symbols of Asmodeus and he will never lie about who he ultimately serves. Never will he turn down a martial challenge, either, and when bound by his word, he is loathe to break it. Though he is not above deception, he holds to his code as rigidly as a machine. While he has no problem killing prisoners, he detests the slaughter of peasants, and opposes that when possible, even if it puts him in direct opposition to his Baatezu masters.
