Description
Despite not being tall, this creature can be called creepy. His appearance obviously states him to be one of the inhabitants of the Lower Planes.
Short and stocky, he has unproportionally long arms, as well as unproportionally long head. Most notable and most big part of his face is a mouth, full of numerous visible fangs. His face is not good at expressing his emotions, mostly being crossed by a wild, grim sort of a smile with a sharp teeth of numbers unknown.
Moving and suspiciously gazing around, he can even look paranoiac to some. Despite weighting much for his height, as any Amnizu, he often can be seen flying, being better in that, than some of the other races, which are able to fly.
Always dressed in a rich robes, it seems like he prefers colors of purple, which are getting quite good in tone of his skin. Another notable thing are numerous trinkets and jewelry he wears. Obviously worn to express his high status and nobility, every of it is made from some dark kind of metal, looking more like a scary decorations, rather then being items of beauty.
Sometimes, simple presence of this creature can create a vast psychological pressure, even if he does nothing.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts
Possible plots

Devil: Despite being exiled, Pazloch remains a Devil, and will support them in the Blood War.

Exiled: Pazloch was out-schemed and almost killed by his rivals in Baator. They are still searching for him, able to send Dogai assassins or even try to break in Sigil by themselves. Because of his exilement, he has an actual fear of “dying”, since it will return him back to Minauros, where he most likely will die a second time, and that time it would be permanent.

Racial Hatred: Considering Pazloch being a Devil, he naturally hates most of the Good-Aligned Races, and all types of Demons, and will participate in any plot against them by all means, and will ally himself with them only being in a grave danger.

Patron of the Nine Hells: Pazloch is an Emissary. Despite his current position, he still has a few ones, who wish to work with him. His quest is to ensure, that will of his superiors will properly reach the Sigil.

Misc Facts
PazlochÂ’s stat scores mostly match to the PnP version of Amnizu:

Strength: 13 (Good) – His hands does not look like something strong, until he starts to use them. Strange anatomy gives him not very visible, but very strong muscularity.

Dexterity: 11 (Moderate) – Despite of his look, as any Amnizu, Pazloch is surprisingly agile for his type of constitution. Thanks to his wings, he can do much quick and sudden moves.

Constitution: 13 (Good) – His body shape is thick, close to dwarf one. Having much fat, in synergy with his devil traits and ability to regenerate, it makes him quite resilient and endure.

Intelligence: 15 (High) – Spending most of his time in studies and travelling as an emissary, Pazloch has a good knowledge about the world outside the Hells, being proficient in magic and religion as well.

Wisdom: 11 (Moderate) – His style of life and profession were good teachers, making him a bit cunning and paranoiac.

Charisma: 15 (High, Developed Attribute) – Pazloch is not looking good and cute of all. He looks scary instead. His outsider bloodline gives him vast magical powers and ability to influence others. An attribute, which Pazloch will most probably improve.

He also developed some skills to various levels:

-Concentration, Diplomacy, Spellcraft - Supreme. Pazloch is a natural Devil-Sorcerer and many times he was a participant of the Pactmaking, so these skills are developed by him naturally at high rates, without need of a constant training.

-Craft Lachemy, Lore, Intimidate - Good. Being an emissary is not a simple job, as well as studying from other fiends. One must have vast knowledge about the world and about the people, with other ways to convince them in something.

-Bluff - Moderate. Devils are not a liars by nature, but, considering his way of life, some circumstances made Pazloch to become proficient at discovering lies. And one, who can see others lying, unwillingly becomes proficient at talking lies himself.

Despite of his long (compared to human one) life, he never had time to develop other skills. He can, however, try to use some of them, which do not require any training, and to it with some chance to success.

Level issue:
How it can be, that character of such age and skills begins at level 1 on Sigil? The answer is in his background. Being imprisoned and making artifacts for years will cost character enough XP to drop back to a level 1, with losing all of his skills and powers, but still having a memories to develop everything once more.

Minauros issue:
Pazloch is attacked in Minauros as any other character. It is also reflected in his background. Most of Devils of Minauros view killing him as a way to get in favor of the high-ranked Devils.

Behavior:

-Being a Devil, Pazloch venerates most of the laws as well as has his own code of acting. He will never attack someone directly, if it breaks the local laws, but in another cases it is possible. Also, he usually never lies directly, preferring to speak murky, or to tell only the part of what he must to tell. But in case with Good-Aligned races or Demons, he still can lie openly, since he supports the Blood War and acts accordingly.

-Pazloch is interested only in personal profit: he will act only by selfish intent, and align himself only with those, who can be useful.

-By all means, Pazloch will confront creatures of Good and Demons, and will never group himself with them, unless with evil intent or being in a grave danger. He will act more secretively against them inside of Sigil territory.

-Quick to rage and harm, Pazloch always remains cold-hearted: he will kill failed servant or a wounded ally under the wave of feelings, yet he will never allow his feelings to stand on a way of his quest or his own profit.

Bloody way of schemes and plots, which leads Pazloch further, began in the Minauros, also called the Sinking City. A cruel place, city, located on a layer feared even by some Devils. He was “born” in a city, and spent most of his early life beneath “safety” of it walls. The city was under a strict hierarchy, and having a family for a Devil is something unusual there, which leaves everyone to live only from himself, and seek only personal profit and ways to improve his position. Slavery in city is usual, making the ones living there also to view it like some sort of natural thing. But, despite city is not sinking only because of slave’s work, does not mean, that anyone will appreciate their work, so most of his inhabitants are evil by nature itself, viewing it as the only way of life. Questioning if Pazloch is an exception is pointless, since he is very stereotypical inhabitant of the Sinking City.

Almost immediately after his arrival, he was taken under the service of higher positioned member of his race, another Amnizu, who named himself Kaxicul. From the first day, Pazloch was made to work to help Kaxicul to eliminate his own superior, Barbaxagorn. But in exchange, Pazloch was enlightened by Kaxicul in the ways of sorcery, and given other useful knowledge, about the planes and how the world actually works. Showing much talents to sorcery, deceiving and plotting, Pazloch drew much attention of other powerful Devils, who would liked to have him in their service. Yet he was not that famous, to make someone to approach him directly, but he always was aware about the gossips of Minauros, since it is one of the few ways to survive there. Since the beginning, Pazloch never saw Barbaxagorn, despite his services lied in almost direct actions against him.

Kaxicul was very quick to abuse his rights, often endangering Pazloch, or using him to do his dirtiest job, even sending him to other planes, which eventually planted a seed of eternal hatred in his mind to anyone, who has position higher, than his one. Most often he was sent to a Prime Plane, to bargain with mortal warlocks in the name of Kaxicul, who served Barbaxagorn, who had enough powers to be a Pactgiver to many mortals. Of course, in first place, Pazloch was interested in his own benefits, and always made mortals to pay him for his work as well by either convincing, bluffing, threating or even harming them. His early services also included eliminating of Pactbreakers. It was not a hard task, since Pactbreakers were stripped from their powers quickly, and Pazloch was sent to kill weakened victims. However, it was not always that easy, and Kaxicul knew it, but still was eager to send Pazloch in some dangerous places. Pazloch masked his hatred for his master well, and it grew with each day.

Trying to get rid of his master, Pazloch tried to become a patrolman of Minauros several times, but each time it was denied by Kaxicul, who preferred to use Pazloch as his own enforcer in the Sinking City. When Pazloch had enough, he ran to Barbaxagorn. He told the devil about his masterÂ’s desires, carefully avoiding of mentioning himself participating in his masterÂ’s plots. Barbaxagorn dealt with Kaxicul quickly, putting a more loyal servant on his place. He decided Pazloch to take his dead masterÂ’s position. Amnizu agreed quickly, but he was not aware about what will happen next, considering he angered may, by raising in ranks quickly, and in such temps, he could even draw attention of Viscount Minauros himself.

That made his newly enemies very soon to uncover his previous actions against Barbaxagorn, but Pazloch was clever enough to predict such outcome and fled. His path led him on the Prime Plane, to Faerûn specifically, since it was a place, he visited most often, aside of Minauros, where he currently was considered an outlaw. Since his running included transverse of the portals, he accidently was summoned with another devil to a Thayan human sorcerer. That sorcerer, being one of great ambition and desire, accepted Pazloch as his companion. A bald man with an eldritch sigil happened to be exiled as well, and they travelled much together. Most of their travels included visiting the places of old, studying the magic and search for a various artifacts. Eventually they allied with another exile. A Red Wizard of Thay, the master of Transmutation allowed them to travel more safely, using his arts to cover both Amnizu and a tattoo on a Warlock’s head. The trio became quite famous for their misdeeds, often being accused in disappearance of people and murdering, which attracted authorities, making them to leave each time, when attention reached the certain point. By such way, they managed to cross an immense distance from borders of Thay to the lands of Cormyr and eventually they have reached the Sword Coast. There, they quickly integrated themselves in a cult of devil worshippers and dark wizards, leaded by the Eladrin-Sorcerer, and took position of leader’s advisors by the force. For some time, they even resided nearby the city of Baldur’s Gate, but local authorities quickly made them to leave, hiding in forests and establishing their headquarters in the old crypt.

Next years, Amnizu, Eladrin Sorcerer, Warlock and Red Wizard roamed from place to place, gathering more and more followers. At some point, their view of future actions for a cult became different, but they managed to find a compromise, until the Red Wizard opened a secrets of a powerful magic, and decided to act openly. After numerous days of arguing, Red Wizard left the cult, and a little time later, he became a legend of the local lands and the one, with whom mothers scare their children of bad behavior. Life of a cult returned to it’s old state quickly, but Pazloch feared for his life more and more with each passing day, because he knew, that forces of Baator will find him one way or another, especially on being Faerûn easily accessed by devils. As he was expecting, after some time they managed to find him, and make an attack. Thanks to powerful allies, the attack was not successful, but that made Pazloch to consider possibility to find other shelter. While cult was more and more often searched by paladins, since it’s presence could not remain unnoticed forever, Pazloch left it after the second attempt of assassins to end his life, and Warlock decided to accompany him, as he foreseen the future extinction of the cult. He never heard much about his allies, aside from decision of a Red Wizard to venture in Underdark, and public executions of dispatched cult members, with exception of Eladrin, who somehow managed to avoid himself being killed.

Eventually, for his own safety, Warlock decided to take another path from PazlochÂ’s one, and they traveled different roads. Pazloch, now alone, ventured to the mountains, and very soon was attacked by forces of Baator once more, but this time it was not an assassins, but an aspiring fiend sorcerer. Pazloch developed his powers far beyond of his race at that moment, and that led to a battle of two powerful mages. Amnizu managed to survive, but was captured by slavers and dragged to an orchish tribe, wearing the Blackbone name. There he was enslaved by the orcs, who made a use of his powers, by making him to create various magical items in prison for battling the other tribes. Using such arts for a years, slowly soaked PazlochÂ’s magical powers, until he finally realized them almost to vanish permanently. He knew, that after becoming useless, he will be killed and sent back to the Nine Hells, where he will face his final death. Yet, he managed to flee. Once a year, tribe sorcerer opened portal to send a traders in there, and usually returned the next year, bringing traded goods with them. One day, something happened between tribe sorcerer and shaman, and making clan to unite against the arcanist. He used a powerful scroll to open the Gate, and started a bloodbath, which he left alive, but was immediately betrayed and cut ahalf by his own son. As the only prisoner, Pazloch was left unnoticed, and when the last remaining member of the clan left their corpses, Amnizu broke free, and visited the sorcererÂ’s tent. Or what was remaining from it, since orchish settlement was burned almost completely. There, he found remaining scrolls, and used them to open another portal, which happened to lead him in a place, called City of Doors, where his story truly began...
