Basic Information

Name: Deri
Aliases: None
Gender: Female
Race: Well, now, that's an interesting question...
Age: A very young 25
Profession: She had been an archivist and researcher before deciding she wanted to "see the world." For now, her only visible means of support is gifts.
Languages: Common and elven. (She has a few other languages selected, but has not learned them IC yet. I think she will need to do so soon.
Accent: She has the accent of the Sorath Accord, with just a trace of Apogee.

Physical Information
Height: Medium height. 5'6" (168cm)
Weight: She is slightly built. 106 pounds (48kg)
Body build: Slender and willowy. She has long legs and small breasts.
Skin type: Her skin is fair and smooth.
Hair style: Her hair is an unruly mop that she has no control over. She usually tucks it into a turban or cap, but strands always seem to be escaping.
Scars: None.
Tattoos: Not yet! What should she get?
Colouring:
Hair: Dirty blonde
Eyes: Two ;) There are a light hazel color.
Skin: A healthy pink.
Mental Information
Philosophy: "Hmm... Look at that! How fascinating! I wonder how it works..."

(Halfway through disassembling whatever caught her interest.)

"Oh! I am almost out of ink! I should get some more. But it's sooooo expensive. I wonder if I could make ink. Hmmm..."

Deity/Beliefs: She does not follow a deity, but she is very interested in seeing and doing everything.
Personality: Deri is a bit happy-go-lucky. She wears her heart on her sleeve. She generally does not think ahead, and often fails to see the obvious consequences of her words or actions until a heartbeat or two too late.

She is hopelessly and unrealistically romantic, and probably a bit attention-seeking.

In short, she has the personality of a golden retriever combined with the brain of a mad scientist.

Additional Information
Gear: She typically wears a green gown, cloak, and turban. She prefers to be completely and modestly covered. Lately, she has begun wearing a plum-colored dress and cap, though she has been heard to say that she feels naked without a cloak.

She wears oddly mismatched bright green boots, one of which has a thick sole. It is not clear if this is to accomodate her limp, or is the cause of it.

Jewelry: For the past week or so, she has taken to fingering a silvery locket and smiling to herself. She never wore that before she began wearing the plum dress.
Habits/hobbies: She is a tinkerer. She reads voraciously, and keeps meticulous notes. She has a not-so-secret love for romance novels.
General Health: She limps, but otherwise seems to be a young woman in good health.
Favorite Drink: She does not typically drink, and has only been intoxicated once. While it was necessary at the time, she is not particularly eager to repeat the experience.
Weaknesses: Too numerous to list!

She is physically not terribly strong. She is far too emotionally vulnerable. She trusts too easily.

I think she has a touch of ADHD. While she can be bubbly and exciteable, she tends to have difficulty focusing on anything for long periods of time.

She tends to take on a bit more than she can handle. I think this may get her into trouble soon.

As an aside, Deri was modeled after Little Red Riding Hood from Into the Woods:

And he showed me things
Many beautiful things,
That I hadn't thought to explore.
They were off my path,
So I never had dared.
I had been so careful,
I never had cared.
And he made me feel excited-
Well, excited and scared

I think this summarizes a fair amount of Deri's personality.

She has taken on a bit of Eponine from Les Miserables now. This is partially because she is a poor waif, wandering around twisting city streets, pining for...well...if you know the musical, you know. ;)

And I know it's only in my mind
That I'm talking to myself and not to him
And although I know that he is blind
Still I say, there's a way for us

I love him
But when the night is over
He is gone, the river's just a river
Without him the world around me changes
The trees are bare and everywhere
The streets are full of strangers

This song is so ironically Deri, but I don't want to say too much.
