Mental Information
Alignment: “Freedom is the greatest blessing in the multiverse. Fear of death is no reason to not exercise or defend it. A glorious death is honored not only by history, but by the gods.”
Philosophy: “Freedom is the greatest blessing in the multiverse. Fear of death is no reason to not exercise or defend it. A glorious death is honored not only by history, but by the gods.”
Deity/Beliefs: Though Svana honors and reveres the Aesir (the Norse pantheon), even acting as their priestess for her people when needed, she truly is a planar cleric of Ysgard and draws her divine power from it. The planeÂ’s ideals of freedom, valor, and determination are her dogma.

Personality:
Battle-ready:A servant of Ysgardian ideals, Svana is always looking forward to a fight. Every adventure is a chance to battle to her. While she (begrudgingly) acknowledges that violence doesn’t solve –every- problem, she can’t help but be a little disappointed when exploits she partakes in don’t involve a little head-busting. Boastful: Svana is a proud adventuer, and loves to boast about her accomplishments. Tales of greatness, if sometimes exaggerated, are likely to follow her into a tavern. Competitive: Svana never turns down a challenge, and loves a chance to prove herself against another. It is not uncommon for her to challenge those she meets to drinking contests, eating contests, and of course duels. Loud: Not only is Svana’s voice is particularly loud, but so is everything else about her. Whenever she does something, she does it forcefully and directly. Loyal: Though she values her freedom and is not fond of permanent commitments, her rarely given word can be taken as golden. Mocking: Svana has a habit of playfully teasing those frail of frame, particularly elves. Glory-seeking: After battle comes the spoils, and Svana enjoys them plenty. However, she primarily seeks treasures of a less material sort. With valorous deeds comes fame, and with fame comes the truest form of immortality: being remembered for generations to come. Svana wants to hear songs of her exploits sung eternally. Glutton: Svana has the title of “the Voracious of a reason”. She has a large appetite, and is used to food being plentiful. Many find her readiness to eat enough for three mean off-putting, but she takes pride in it. [/li]
Additional Information
Gear: SvanaÂ’s hammer is a prized possession. Inscribed with several runic prayers to the Aesir and blessed by fellow mystics of Ysgard, it is the one weapon that Svana makes a point of keeping to a luster.

The Ysgardian priestess also has an ornate silver horn at her belt at just about all times. Decorated with ornate imagery, it is enchanted to distill mead endlessly. She received it as a gift from a tribe of Bariaurs when she aided them in battle.

Jewelry: Svana wears little jewelry of note, but she is particularly fond of well-crafted rings, cups, idols and other similarly small ornery pieces.

Habbits/hobbies: As noted earlier, Svana drinks often and has an insatiable appetite. A feast after a battle is a tradition of Ysgard she tries to keep with her wherever she goes, and she tries to encourage others to do likewise.

Of course, the warrior woman is not only eats well, but also cooks fine herself. She experiments often and is, fortunately, not very picky. In fact, Svana has been known to try and make the meat of any beast into a proper meal.

Additionally, Svana enjoys singing, particularly while feasting or while wandering on an adventure. As one may expect, she is profoundly tone deaf by most standards, making her bouts of source a source of ire to any of her companions.
General Health: Svana is particularly hardy and doesnÂ’t fall ill easy. She has a tendency to let wounds bleed a bit longer than she should (she comes from a place that made her fighting fit by the next day, after all.), but usually sheÂ’s in fairly good health.

Favorite Drink: “The drink of any true hero is mead. Accept nothing else!”

Weaknesses: Taught by her gods and her land never to fear injury and to dread death even less, Svana is generally especially reckless, often charging head first into situations most would consider suicide. While she is typically not entirely witless, she is confident and tends to lose herself in the heat of battle. As stated before, she doesnÂ’t look out for herself very well all the time, allowing wounds to bleed longer than they should and trying to shrug off poisons, curses, and the like that most others would want treated immediately.

Raucous and at times intimidating, SvanaÂ’s rowdy demeanor can be potentially overbearing and even irritating to others. SheÂ’s quite straightforward and makes little to no attempt at being charming. Though sheÂ’s wiser than she appears, sheÂ’s easy for one to judge quickly, and thus many dismiss her as an ignorant bloodthirsty savage.

Many would say Svana is selfish and thoughtless of others, but in truth she is quite empathetic. However, individualism and self-reliance is a virtue in Ysgard; one cannot be weak if they hope to survive. She would rather teach others how to fend for themselves against their plights rather than directly solve them. Nevertheless, her harsh and brusque nature often makes her come off as heartless in doing this.

I never really thought much about the factions until my recent trips to Sigil. Sure, I had heard plenty of some of them, but I could never quite picture myself in one. IÂ’m seeing that it seems every cutter who isnÂ’t a Clueless has some ties. Since IÂ’m certainly not clueless, I thought it best I consider falling in with one.

The difficulty comes in deciding which. I can’t honest think of joining one without having to add a “but”. At first I looked into the Transcendent Order, as their whole ‘action without thought’ philosophy sounded like it fit me just fine, but then I actually met and spoke with one of them. For people who like to act, they sure do a lot of studying and meditating. Then I considered the Sensates, but I realized that I already knew the greatest feelings around: battle, adventure, and drink. Why would I need more than that?

Then I started to read up on the Fated. Many people dismiss them as mere thieves and heartless scoundrels, and IÂ’ll admit I did too at first. However, they make their home in my beloved realm of Ysgard, and now IÂ’m beginning to see why. The Fated are a people all about self-reliance and independence, and IÂ’m all for that. IÂ’d rather people learn to handle themselves than take handouts, after all. Many people find the Fated greedy, but these berks forget that wealth isnÂ’t the only thing that can be seized. Anyone who seeks anything and knows how to get it can be a member of the Takers. I seek glory and the honor of a hero; I want to be sung of in song for eons to come. By defending the weak, IÂ’ll claim my place amongst the strong. With all this in mind, IÂ’m considering falling in with my home team, so to speak. Hopefully, people donÂ’t think me even more of a heartless knave for it.
