Basic Information
Name: Katani La Calliwell
Aliases: Kat, Kitty-Kat
Gender: Female
Race: Human, mostly
Age: Late twenties
Profession: Owner of the Hideout Shop/Bar, Namer of the Transcendent Order, Champion of Joy

Image

Physical Information
Height: 5'5'' (~165cm)
Weight: 148lbs (~67kg)
Body build: Her paleskinned form, though frequently trained, fails to maintain strongly defined muscle form for being a female.
Hair style: Currently pixie cut, in hue bright seagreen gradienting to black. Natural color is raven black.
Eyes: Her khaki eyes are the most striking out-of-ordinary feature to what seems to be human through and through otherwise. The pupils turn marginally to slit-like if she's pushed enough.
Scars: Though she has few cut related scars across her body, none severe enough that'd hint into her moderately dangerous lifestyle choices.
Tattoos: A small tattoo over her right shoulderblade, less artistic choice and more pragmatic choice with small stylizing frame made around it. Magic woven into it to allow her to release her bloodline magic more freely.

Mental Information
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral, Bordering toward good.
Philosophy: Life is to enjoy it. As such pursuit of joy should be in everyones top agenda. But understanding this comes also the responsibility to try to enable it, for the multiverse isn't obligated to provide it. To take life too seriously, is to cripple your chances at happiness.
Deity/Beliefs: Olidammara, or as she dubs him "God of Fun".
Personality:
  • Devoted Though she tries not to shove her faith on others, she is quite driven by it.
  • Mischievous She has no qualms of trying to have fun at others expense. At full expectation they return the favor.
  • Sympathetic Though she can create pranks, and make fun of almost anything. She remains highly sympathetic to true expressions of misery.
  • Lively More often than not, she's rather energetic. At least when she's prepared to handle other people.
  • Unassuming Though entirely too willing to jestily jump to conclusions for conversationalism, she by and large doesn't judge until she has seen enough to contrary.
  • Adventurous She enjoys a good journey.

Additional Information
Casual wear: Usually green-red clad attire. Almost always at least semi-pragmatic. Dark green, hooded cloak.
Combat wear: Heavy plated armor interjoined with chains, overlaid with green-red decor clothes. Dark green, hooded cloak.
Personal Items: An old piece of curtain. A gifted mithril mirror. Book of Sweet Whispers. Unfinished Card Game of her own design.
Combat style: She enjoys fighting with unnecessary panache, flourishing leaps, and perhaps even deliberate openings. But if life is in question, the style changes to simple and almost minimalistic.
Vanity: Yes. Uh, I mean... Katani uses a restrained amount of
Habbits/hobbies: Physical and arcane training, jokes, stories. Drinking with friends, pranks, casual fun.
General Health: She's in peak condition. At least most time of the month.
Favorite Drink: Red wine. White won't do.
Weaknesses:
  • Semi-naive Multiverse still has many things that disappoint her greatly, that she's not always ready to face.
  • Family "Inheritance" She almost never got along with the family which is a problem of its own, but they also left an unresolved pact for her to deal with.
  • Neat-ism An unserious condition of where she feels compulsed to say 'neat' at some highly inappropriate situations.
  • Ironbody In combat with right magic on, she simply does not feel pain. Which in times is an advantage, at other times a problem for survival.

"The Hive's a miserable place, always has been, always will be." and at that moment, Katani realized what she had to do. It wasn't the planewalkers she was supposed to try to make happy, it was those who had always struggled to find it on their own. To make planewalkers more mirthful, it was enough to give them something worth working for, and that was something she knew she could manage just fine. The Shop had always allowed her to maintain a strong financial situation, so that was hardly missing... what she lacked was the real skills to actualize what she had in mind.

A wagon that could be used as a mobile stage, and transportation for equipment. A "joy ride" if you will. Toys, games and costumes fit for children. Entertainers willing to work in the Hive Ward. A golem or two to move the wagon and act as security. All of which would have to be made within a good taste, something that looks humble enough for the Hive, so as not to instill aggression by seeming disingenuous or unfair, or rob-worthy. After all it was going to be a charity of entertainment, not a bragging tour. People of Hive may very well be discontent of their life and situation, but that should not exclude them from occasional displays of culture, songs, and such joys of life.

And who knows, perhaps some of the more talented Hive members are even willing to take a job to help out... but that's getting waaay ahead. First, the wagon, and to that end Lance Marshby appears the most qualified and has started on the project - state progress?. Next golems, two of which Eowomioland was willing to provide for no charge. For toys, games and costumes Usi'dora has been willing to help, but Sol and Leyana might also have interest and ideas to participate. For entertainment Tavia has expressed willingness to assist as well, and her enchanting services have been invaluable so far. So all in all, there is great progress made!

Not only that, but there has been other interested parties whom might provide other manner of assistance. Such as Kaltia for financial aid, or other manner of assistance with the local gangs. Matters which shall have to depend on the conditions they come with. But those considerations can be crossed once at least the wagon has been produced.

The mobile stage was finally done! A very robust product by Lance Marshby, humble appearances by design so as not to attract too much unwanted attention. With niceties and general guidelines provided by Lance she rolled it out from his warehouse and set out to the Sigil streets. Already first complications came as it was clear that the rail tracks weren't meant to be traversed by wagon, then came difficult split bridges and staircases. Katani had to take it slow to maneuver and guide, but pros of having magic at her disposal was really that she could "cheat" a little, and tireless clockwork roach golems pulling it ahead made it possible to get through, time consuming certainly... but then it was literally the second tie she had driven a wagon anyway.

The insides of the wagon were fitted with small stove, for heating water mostly and for keeping the place warm were it taken to more colder environments. Tightly fit storage compartments that doubled down as seats and table platforms so as to enable storing as much stuff, while still having some space to spend inside the wagon itself. One of the broad walls was fitted with lever mechanism to let it open up and double down as a stage, with support legs at the end to ensure weight distribution didn't become an issue. And a small curtain to separate inside of wagon and stage portion itself. It may've been compact in design, but it's all she'd need in her moderately humble ideas.

She'd still actually need some of the other supplies she had intended to get, but this got her to a good start! And she did break it in on her first ride, and show to get a proper feel to it, that and try not to put all the musical rehearsing to a waste. Even if the brief encounter with the Sorrowsworn had given... a rather unforeseen excuse to practice further. Speaking of it, she'd have to keep an eye out for them as well.

It had really been just like any other day. Morning routine exercises, getting washed, morning snack at the Baha bazaar, cuddling with Lyra unless she had already gone to do her own things. Journey to Sigil, read the newsrag for latest chant and ramblings. Todays print had a great article written by Reina, that hopefully would ensure she had to tell less planewalkers they could get a better price elsewhere for things that Katani knew no market price for. Spoke with friends, discovered that she was apparently difficult to find by people she stood right next to. Contemplated wearing black for greater visibility, and headed home for the evening.

Lyra hadn't yet come around, so she figured this'd be a good moment for some evening exercises at the gym. Her cat, Clawsome, decided to come greet her lazily with a nuzzle against legs and deciding that it was attention time. And purr worthy attention they got. After the cat had been tended to, she took her weighs and started to do fitness routine. The silent home didn't really help, no amount of being servant of Olidammara could keep that out.

The feeling of emptiness of the house, that Sherys is not there to share with her the good fortune that has come into her life. Why did Sherys leave her? Did she never love her to begin with? Did she lose interest in Katani? Or maybe she was somewhere lost, cold, and scared. And then the thought of Desidera came up, the curse that would never go away. The death of her cat, Solor, her father's flaying infront her face at the Great Bazaars laughing, unsympathetic audience, every love in Katani's life leaving her. . .that small voice was now booming in her head as everything she regretted in her life had come back to assault her all at once. And it was if all the joy and light had been sucked out of the room.

A tear ran down her cheek as it all struct her simultaneously, self-pity. But it was only natural, Olidammmara would understand that she was just a human... Clawsomes hiss, angry meowl and growl caught her distracted attention. The cat had decided to grow increasingly aggravated at the wall with their ears back and fur risen. It took her a moment to realise. This wasn't normal... she was under a psychic attack!

Her mind still under an attack was sluggish to really respond, but the panic reaction and adrenaline push was enough to get her to action. Benefits of all that training under Cipher agenda, training to know yourself, training to know how to react, training to act. She bellowed "Dwarf shortage!" for anyone else it'd appear the most loony thing to say in current situation, but it was infact not just short joke, but also the command word for her houses wards, which ignited into action with a soft illumination, runes normally unseen glowed red from every pillar. Her wards were not efficient, but they were potent enough to hurt anyone trying to force their way in. There were downsides however, for one she'd be locked in for approximately an hour until the magic ran out. And second, it'd take her weeks, if not months to have the wards fully charged for another go.

After this she dashed to get her newly created sword. A blade specifically crafted to deal with the ilk of Desidera and what had attacked her here, Sorrowsworn. Though a very distant relation, the diluted ferrous dragonline gave her capabilities beyond just her natural affinity to magic, if she focused her mind and body just right, she could shrug off most harmful influences. However the moment she lunged to action, the pressure on her mind had released, the attack was over as soon as it had began... but there was a nagging feeling like something had left with it. Something personal, but... she couldn't quite place a name for it. Had it taken some of her memories? Had it merely fed on her?... It had happened too fast to really know.

She spent rest of the evening for prayers to Olidammara, which largely consisted of dancing and drinking rare vintage of red wine. But also considering how to deal with the demon. But most importantly, giving a real treat and attention for Clawsome for having warned her of the danger.
