The Order of the White Dragon

It seems so long ago that I, Commander Malekyth Illithana, served in the royal guard of my peoples, the Order of the White Dragon. Those selected were raised from youth in the mastery of war and combat, specifically trained in the use of a particular weapon to defend the borders of our homes deep within the forests of our homeland, the Western fringe of Icewindale.
As boy I was meticulously trained in the art of swordmastery, archery, sorcery, literature, history and the sociology of my people until I was accepted into the ranks of the honourary guard where my true training began in the art of war and battle. My senses were sharpened, my body pushed to the very edge of its existance as I was forced to fight and defend myself for six hours at a time so to tend my body to the true nature of melee.

But the horrors I witnessed waging war upon the orc and lobold tribes of the northern tundar's shall forever scar me, haunt me and remain a part of me for as long as I live. It was during a series of campaigns against this foe that I was awarded the Twin feathers of bravery and servitude to my peoples, honours granted to those who exceed the required role as a soldier to which always remain pinned upon my cloak and eventually I became a commander, after many years.
I sometimes reflect on this history with a childish admiration, wishing myself back into the Order though I can no longer serve my people. Even now I gaze upon my ceremonial armour, its pristine white surface gleaming as pure as the very day I recieved it. It's beautifully gold trimmed plates depicting scenes of glory from days of old while the rubies and sapphires that decorate the breastplate and pauldrons, still as lustruous as the day the suit was smithed by the elder forgemasters of the star.

I write this as a mere reflection so I might look back to it and dream of a time when my life, my identity were stable and my people accepted me. Though so much has changed, though I have found the person I know I should be with, I aspire to become a soldier once more, for when one becomes a soldier, they always remain a soldier.

Dagon be thy name

One might imagine the nature of the Sigil to be parchment, plain, uncoveted and regardless of any distinguishable assets, altogether more insane than one would personally concieve at a glance. The sheer mechinations of time, dimension and indifference only pursued by those 'enlightnened' enough to fathom the true extent of this weirdness that allows the planes to fuse, merge into a vast coat of light, blinding and inpenetrable even unto the minds of the most distinguished scholars.

It is here, within the root of planes, that one might truly glimpse upon this strangeness that conceals itself within a cloak of normality, unfetteringly pure yet incomprehensibly tainted, residing within a mist of subversion, servitude and degridation. Though it is here that my investigations have taken their course.
The hub of solidarity, the hive of delusion lays waste to the zealous views of the rich whilst poverished souls vie for belief, whittled to unnerved pawns exacting the nature of the Factions which guide the hands of gods and force the ears of the multiverse to turn in adoration, decisive and relentless.

Confused tones of sinister origins whisper the deathly names of the book, the tome to which few revere yet all fear, locked within a fugue, trembling within the walls of the faithless. A name so unnaturally pure yet so naturally cruel which beckons the sins of all and exacts its disasterous malice upon those who learn the name of the deathless one, the night of a thousend illusions, the dreamer of ten fold sins. As a man I cannot truly imagine the fright which hath called so many to its name though I hear the cumulating dread within the terrified throats of the common men and women who seek only to relieve their souls of the taint of madness which surges like a dreaded tide throughout the Hive.

O' Kossuth, keep your fiery embers upon my heart and mind, for should I reveal the truth of this name I know I shall be driven to the very edge of sanity for concealed within the disillusioned streets and corners of the ward one can sense the true sensations that plague the inhabitants of a melting, searing network of lies, turmoil and fear. The name I cannot speak and, though one must pursuit this cruelty which skulks, not only in the imaginations of men but in the depths of the ring, the roofs of the line, one cannot allow oneself to distract from that which shall, in due course, reveal itself.

This day I fear, beyond the true horrors which lie in the vastness of the multiverse. The desolation of my personal dread shall be fully realized and horrors beyond that which others could possibly fathom, even when braving the terrors of Minauros and the Abyss, shall be fully realized. So this is a recital of my personal investigations which shall, inevitably, lead the to the deathly struggle for my sanity and I fully realize that, while not utterly confident that one shall escape this doom, I have delved too deep into the stars, too far into the madness which weaves its webs of calculation throughout the multiverse, its intricacies spinning a future beyond the darkness to which may be penetrated only the clarity of the events to unfold.
