Always moving, best way to describe Nex's childhood. His family never stood put always moving some were to trade goods or move something for someone for profit. This lead to Nex having trouble making bonds with anyone seeing when or if he ever saw them again was unlikely. As he grew older he found out his father was a gambler on top of a merchant, running from debt was another job they had. Trying his own hand at tossing skulls or other games he found his luck equalled his father. To pay off those to strong to run from, doing a bit of pick pocketing or breaking and entering was in order. It was a life not the best, not the most comfortable but a life, until one fateful day. Nex caught the human red handed cheating at cards, yet he refused to return his winnings. During a mix of cursing and finger pointing Nex released a blast of energy into the human killing him. After taking anything of value, and trying to hide the corpse, they were on the run again. Both parents looked at their son differently, seeming to discuss things when they thought Nex was asleep. At the next town they dropped Nex at a monastery "Heat to big time to hide will be back for you later". It was a lie, he know it but who cared perhaps now he finds a comfier life here. Everyone was expected to work, eat small meals, and exercise, it was hell. One instructor seemed to take interest in Nex soon after arrival, named Master Ellie. Ellie was a short human with a disfigured hand, it seems he was a mix blood of some sort and came here to learn how to deal with it and find peace. Something he thought to instil in Nex to control his ability and keep it from harming others. The idea appealed to Nex, well the first half so he worked with him towards such goal. Months went by gaining the basics of movements and such, along with some control of when his blast worked or did not. Ellie stressed suppressing it, while secretly Nex worked on invoking it. Eventually the energy covered his fist allowing him to strike with it. Something he did the next time he spared some snot nosed human. Furious that Nex almost killed someone on a simple sparing match Ellie showed him the error of his ways by beating him to a pulp. Laying there beaten, he listened to Ellie explain why needs to control the energy and suppress it to keep from harming others. A snide comment back about his own use of his abilities to put him down shows its meant to be used Ellie's actions proved him a lair. Disgusted at his failure, they both went to their rooms, only Nex snuck out. The locks proved no problem to get into the scroll room. In there two scrolls interested Nex so he took them. Turning to leave Ellie stood in the door way. After insults thrown another fight, or more a quick execution. In a blink of an eye Ellie was in front of him just seeming to slowly sweep his hand in front of Nex. Only as the floor hit him did he realise that his throat was cut. The warm trickled past him with the loud echo's of feet leaving followed by a thud of the door. Rage filled Nex how could he die now? Here after all this? No, there is more to do. His body then started to mend the more angry he got blood flowing back in his neck sealing up. Only realising this after his fist gasp of air going back in his lungs. Unable to lay there to completely heal, he had to move as soon as he could stagger leaving only a cryptic message "Count your days". Always moving, best way to describe Nex's childhood.
