A letter makes its way to a certain factioneer on the Athar's Astral Citadel, carried by a namer visiting from Sigil
Dearest Mother,
I write to let you know that I have established myself in the city quite painlessly. Father's affairs were mostly in order and I have signed what needed to be signed, to the effect that I am sole owner of the manse and patriarch of the Sigil Marshes, such as we are. The house itself is in reasonable condition - an abysmal clutter when I first arrived, of course, but I have had a couple of our lodgers clear out everything unnecessary. The least they can do for their boarding.
You said you worried the city would make me into my father; no fear of that so far, I think. I continue to do my duty on the streets and in the temple, and further keep my wits and sword sharp with regular visits to the less hospitable planes. I will keep you informed.
Personally, I am quite well. Perversely, I am coming to miss walking the Prime - there the cattle are more obstinate, true, but hunting blood cultists is a touch more gratifying than arguing with them. Worry not: I will adapt.
Seek truth always, and give my regards to the others.
Your dutiful son,
Tobiah

A hasty addendum, arriving with the same messenger
P.S: Word may already have reached you, but it will please you to know I have received promotion. Your days of being the only Athaon Marsh have come to a close.
