"if two rabbits fit the cage, then four hares completes a page"
He suddenly remembered this phrase while he was meditating under the shadow of a tree, the phrase emerged as a bubble from his most deep and buried memories. From where was it? after a quick recollection he remembered how that phrase have pierced his head.

It wasn't a pleasant memory though, regaining consciousness only to find oneself floating aimlessly in simply nothing, while bleeding certainly doesn't offer much peace, less when your blood forms little red clouds around you, he just, awoken feeling that phrase on the head.

The silver void... certainly was a fitting name, since there was simply nothing there. enough for turning anyone insane, specially one of my kin. no ground, no prey, no smells, no tracks, no moon, no day and night cycles... no clan. I certainly am unable to tell how much time I was floating there since in no other place time have had less meaning.

I am also still unable to tell how I ended there, everything that happened immediately before is extremely blurry at best, and completely absent at worse. memories of my clan are easy to remember, is the transition that is a barren land, though i do remember something, drowning in a deep, constricting darkness, absolute and enveloping.

He suddenly feels a persisting pain in his head, like being stabbed with a rusty dagger, and his mind starts numbing down. He quickly grabs the silvery chain and while touching the orb tries to keep the focus, emptying his mind. Suddenly he regains the peaceful feeling he had before.

After a while he goes back to the phrase that interrupting his meditation. I still haven't made any sense of that phrase, i've learned that sometimes random thoughts wander the astral plane, so i'm even unsure if that was a though of my own. but in that circumstances it felt like important, thats why i still remember it, and maybe... in the end it did save me. During all the time I was floating aimlessly in the void there were plenty of times I was on the brink of insanity, all that times the phrase surfaced, and the seeking of his meaning brought my mind back to focus and lucidity, which in the end helped me to decipher and understand the silver void enough for finding an exit.

Certainly the void changed me... It was 8 years ago, and my path would have been completely different if i wasn't forced to understand myself, my mind. but wondering what would have happened if the circumstances were different is useless.

He suddenly stand up and look at the tidy kept garden outside the gate house, and even with some sporadic screams tearing the silence, there was a deeper mental peace in that place, then he started walking to the marketplace searching for an activity for the day.

He was sitting silently under a deep meditation, the leaves of the trees made almost no sound and the city noise sounded far away. the interns of the sanatory seemed quite today and everything felt quiet.

After a while he looked at the gloves at his hands, he managed to get the fingertips removed so he could easier fit them. He sensed the strong magical energies of such gloves. The hunt for resources have been very productive lately and the trader in the marketplace asked for a very fair pirce. He managed to get various magical items that would help on his survival, and in gratitude for his fairness, he let the trader keep his older bracelets for free.

But he was worried. The new items proved to be extremly efficient below, and he was worried that they would give him a false feeling of strenght, a strenght that emanated from mere objects and not from himself.

After glacing again the gloves, and looking for the protective cloak he made into a protective scarf, and the magical clothes. He now was determined, he will keep the items, but will use them only when the need arises. this items hold little value for training so they shall be used accordingly.

Today undersigil wasn't very quiet though.. when he descended to try the new gear there were plenty of newcomers to the city, elves, ogres... even snake folk. He had a small talk with a particular primer half-elf from Athas. He never have heard that land before but the particular proved to be a very informative scholar. he in exchange traded some fragments of information about this city.

She came from a material plane were gods have been dead for centuries. Probably most of the gods didn't died and stopped meddling on that world, there was a city named Tyr, and Tyr is still an influential power. But maybe there was some more local gods that indeed met demise. Knowing more of that land could end being fructituous.

He suddenly realized that he was thinking of his own "material world". It have been many years since he was taken from it and he never have though of returning. His memories shape as himself when he was way younger and the difference between himself and his former self took him almost by surprise.

I still do treasure those memories, running in the nigt under the moon watchful face with my pack, slaughtering the prey, the feeling of the warm blood. My clan wasn't too vicious by gnoll standards though. I even remember our chieftan pacting with a near elven community to protect a near forest, but we did hunt outsiders. And we've defended against overzealous or vengeful dwarves and humans, who taken us for Yeenoghu followers, I do know the taste of their blood. But this memories I treasure them almost as childhood memories, I can't go back, I'm unable to, as someone can't just hope to become a child again.

My path seems to be different of any gnolls path now, and probably if I go back I will just feel like an outsider. he sighs deeply, and then focus again on the peacefulness of the garden.

The sound of the waterfall was omnipresent, the pressure of the water falling endlessly upon his body, there wasn't birds, wind, not even the water was really there, only focus. He was in deep meditation and his figure was silent and stoic under the raging waterfall as the perpetually red sun of Bruxas lit calmly the scene.

He felt almost like in the silver void, wandering trough nothingness, his mind at peace.

He suddenly felt a pressence though he knew that it was only in his mind. It was a memory, lurking in a self created blackness, lingering. It have been two days since he lost the duel he requested against the sensei Teuso. This wasn't unexpected since it very movements while walking revealed a master of the way. Still he didn't felt aggression from him, but peacefulness and tranquility. He even offered to take him as a pupil, the offer was tempting to learn of such an individual, but his peacefullness felt awkward, as the stillness that surrounds the dead.

But wasn't that the blackness that haunted his mind now, neither the fact that he lost. It was the feeling of not being able to do anything against such a force. He tested his strenght and his strenght alone and it felt like a stone thrown at a deep dark sea. His mind though told him the fact that he fought completly unnequiped so he was at disadventage, but his soul rejects such thought with might. Thats is just an excuse to mask the fact that my strenght is not enough!

He suddenly felt how he was again under the waterfall, completely unaware of the time he have passed there, as the day mantained itself on perpetual dusk. This lands felt like a blessing, a getaway of the busier Sigil, the reatures were strong enough to get challanged but he easily could travel invisible for such zones. And the red sun covered everything in a red light, even his red fur, he felt like he could simple merge with this lands. there was a certain feeling... of belonging.

He stood from the waterfall and headed to the shore, it was time to continue the training...
