A letter sent away to a small village in the Dalelands

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To my dearest little girl,
May this letter find you well. I pray you and your darling husband have are safe. My sincerest apologies for the lack of correspondence these past months. So much has occurred in that time that putting quill to parchment has been tricky.
I write to you from the fabled City of Doors, The figurative center of the multiverse. It is everything that the tales spoke of and more, for both better and worse. The sheer array of peoples and oddities  here are beyond my ability to adequately describe. No need to worry about your old man though. Apart from a few unexpected adventures, I have been trying my best to stay out of trouble. At least as much as seems possible in such a peculiar place.
You may be pleased to learn I have made a number of new friends on this journey. I spent a few months working with a group of professional problem solvers and their enigmatic leader. Some of these people are almost like family now. Perhaps you will get to meet them some day.
I have made contact with a few old friends as well. Surely you remember my tales of Therion the White? He and his dear wife were visiting the city on my arrival. He was gracious enough help me relearn the proper way to handle arcane magic. Please do not tell Priest Arvael about it? A letter should be arriving for him soon about some recent concerns and I am still uncertain how best to explain should he inquire.
Please write back soon. I miss you dearly and hope to hear news from you both soon.
With love,
Papa
