A brief Bio:

Typhon's parents are bookshelvers in the Hall of Records. He grew up there, getting a high-quality education, but was denied access to magical training due to his parents inability to afford it. Displaying above average intelligence and common sense, as well as a certain quickness and agility, he was selected by a committee of factotums as a messenger about the clerk's ward as a youth. At some point, those factotums were all killed, and the messages stopped coming. He's since written letters to the city courts outlining his capabilities and ambitions, in hope for advancement and placement as a hands-on researcher, position in security, or something else suitable.

Unlike most guvners, he's no mage, but a psionically gifted swashbuckler, strategist, and a keen observer. While waiting for responses from the courts, he's taken to mingling in the bazaar and taken the initiative to conduct his own research into the portals and personalities around the cage today...
