As she glanced to the gnoll a flash of gold flickered in her eye in the dimly lit room. "Mayhaps.. just mayhap there is a Balors blood within me and hatred for their ilk seized me." She inspected the full lenght of her blades edge then took a piece of cloth wiping it clean from the foul blood while she spoke. "Not the reason even if the disperse of one is satisfying. We sought stolen ore this one supposedly had stored hereat." She sheathed her sword skillfully sliding it into the scabbard mounte on her back. "Alas as your own eyes tell you if you search the crates it be naught in them." She paused and gazed to each of the people before her left to right. "A disapointment. Yet I belive there is a reward for expsoing this one? The guardsmen here are entitled to half as their help was paramount."

Both have their share of shallow cuts and bruises as one would expect of warriors who just have been in battle.
What remains of the Abishai's former guards stay where they are while the city guards perform a quick sweep of the warehiuse then head into the manor. It seems they are not really interested in investigating what happened here but more in claiming the devil's riches for their master- and themselves.
After about an hour the leader approaches her 'guests' again.
"You are free to go. To collect the reward come to the main guardpost at the castle. Now get out of here."
She hands the Fey'ri a folded piece of paper, then turns to leave with her troops as well.

Taking the parchment she opend her leafshaped satchel sliding the write into it. "It shall not be long before we collect it." She said Walking out through the door.
When they were out of hearing range from the guards she spoke to her companions. "We must not linger. Find Ganatog and tell him I shall return with the reward in short. Furthermore instruct them to have the cargo ready on a transport. A wain or so if it cannot be fit into a magical bag. if there are complications or if you had to relocate meet me on the path towards the castle" With that she left towards the guardpost.

"We will find him and then rejoin you."
They hurry off to find the Jotun and prepare their departure from Robcage. In the meanwhile Maed finds her way to the guardpost- Lord Parac's castle impossible to miss and quickly she is shown to the guardpost.
There is a long queue if supplicants and petitioners, most getting a rather rough treatment at the end, many request denied for only minor errors made in documentes or procedures. Maed however is lucky- while the fiendblooded human who is dealing with her does not hide his disdain the reward is payed quickly in gold and platinum.

This kind of throng was taxing on her patience but she knew better than to instigate distubance here. A few acrimonious remarks to people that would bump into her or accidentally touch her was all there was. After counting the amount and dividing it into two equal halves she departs whence she came.

The tunnels lead outside the City and it takes some time to reach the end of them. They find that the entrance is hidden by well wrought illusions, but as the Giant steps outside he will find Maed and his other two companions waiting there.
Maed has been led to this place by the mercenary who more than happily accepted his share.
The gold is a nice bonus to what Ganatog and Mead will get from Root of Nine- who is as happy to see the lost cargo returned to him as a Modron can be.
((And this closes it. Please see me in game for XPs and rewards, guys!))
