Time spent among the cultists, the undead and other foes of coalition went quietly and slowly for Belkas Cornwell. Stuck with his dark thoughts, the ever enclosing corruption of scrolls, insanity nagging to start murdering and torturing. It was better this way, while he could still control the bloodlust. Perhaps they thought that his actions would be foolish and perhaps they are, but even if he fails to kill or harm Kruphai, it'd end the threat that was himself. The wait would soon be over, last few sips of water as the forces started to make their attack.

In the previous days he had pawned all of his possessions into purchasing food for electrifier and explosives. The power stored in the Magic Electrifier he possessed was immense, painful to hold even for him, and only way to hide its aura was to keep it stored in a magic container until the very end. Perhaps it would work, perhaps it would not... but the plan was simple. To overcharge the dragonstaff he wore as to have the retributive strike distribute justice while they least expect it. Upon his other bags traps repurposed into adding to the explosion, and hundreds of vials of acid, alchemist fire, caltrops, poisons and even holy water. One decisive strike against the leadership of enemy.

Corny had also written a note, the last will. A closure for the few he cared about. Gathered all the intelligence reports into one neat pile within his inn room, where everything had been meticulously cleaned. One last drink in the Khazeets bar, and the remaining thirty three jink given as a tip.

The sounds of battle started to echo in distance to bring him out of his thoughts. It was about to start. Soon an overwhelming presence made an entrance, there was no doubt what was the source of it. With them an entourage of important entities, but his eyes were fixed on the price. Kruphai.

It was finally time to cast aside one of the many secret identities he had lived as, Belkas Cornwell... for his name was Kev Tarmikos, a namer of Mercykillers, counter-infiltrator. His life lived by not drawing attention, not claiming the honors and not being the hero. Only the mission matters. The only code he truly followed. For the last stand, it was only appropriate he'd put the insignia on.

Time for caution, time for being unseen was gone. On right hand he drew the dragon staff out. The left within his bag of holding. The intimidating figures which could kill him in an instant seemed ever less frightening knowing that he was going to die regardless.

Now it was only time for justice. He shouted out "Oi!" and lunged wildly amidst their leadership. Kruphai, Anagiot and Aingeru. In the split second where toward him was aimed death and mayhem he didn't have the time to regret the lack of better last words. At least it wasn't a monologue. The electrifier was brought out of its container and he used its power to charge the dragonstaff held on right hand even as a blade was starting to sink deep in his back.

Kev Tarmikos perished in the flash of destruction immense enough to take down Anagiot and Aingeru with him. Despite all his efforts, he failed in harming Kruphai however. He died as he had lived, among his enemies in secrecy, his only real friends.
