It was "home", that's how it'll translate such an odd concept to the inhabitant of this world. Now deep within under their feet, it has time to develop and grow, the ground proved the be fertile, the creatures down there easily corrupted, enthralled by his alien majesty. Soon the place would change and be like "home", soon he'll turn his many of eyes toward the surface and glance at the stars once again...
