He sighed, letting his head drop tiredly. He really didn't seem to understand what all that fuss was about.

Geez, I don't want to think about her reaction if I just said I came here because I wanted to have a closer look at her.

Of course, that had never been a real option, even he could see that, but apparently now she was pissed, and as much as he couldn't care about it, he realized it wasn't a good way to start.

I need to come clean with her, at least on something.

He slowly ran his fingers through his hair in a thoughtful gesture, then raised his head to look at her. When he spoke, his tone was again as plain and neutral as it was before.

"I came here for the procedure. I know it's lengthy and I know it's messy, but I only came here for that. If I suspected it could have been a problem I would have told it right away, but honestly, I still can't see the issue."
He folded his arms on his chest again.
"My question is: can you perform a full autopsy for me even knowing the cause of death? If not, I won't complain and will leave right away. It was probably my mistake to begin with."

He seemed to stop at his last words, as if drawn in some other thought all of sudden.
Well, of course it was "my mistake". If I knew someone did to me what I am doing to her, I would be even more than pissed. I'd be furious.

The whole concept caught him off guard.

Maybe apologizing would be a good idea, I should consider that.
