Aras sits down at a table in the Harmonium Barracks, pulling out a sheaf of onion skin papers. The Monk looks across the tabler at the Half-Celestial,Naya'il Mcewan, Aras smiles at her while sliding the papers over with a quill and ink pot.

"If you would please write down exactly what happened ma'am? It will be submitted to the Courthouse for reviewing and a sentence will be handed down."

The Guvner leans back in the chair, folding her arms under her breasts as she waits, a momentary expression of tiredness flitting across her face.

Naya gave a polite smile to the girl and took up the quill and odd paper. She studied the sheafs for a moment before beginning to scribe

Statement of Naya'il McEwan regarding the attack upon Piri and Naya'il in Sigil by Clovis

It was three days ago, as I was strolling along the back street behind the bazaar on my way to the Hall of Records, my companion, Piri and I were attacked without provocation. The attack came from behind, in the form of a spell thrown that near lifted the cobbles beneath my feet as freezing tentacles grappled about my legs. They were so tall that Piri was caught within them, and off guard, their power of energy took Piri unawares and before I could help she was lying prone, dying upon the ground.

There had been a man following close behind me as I had left the bazaar to take that street but I had paid him scant attention as I was busy catching up with my friend. No one else was around I believe. On seeing Piri's state upon the floor, I turned around swiftly, retrieving my scythe from its holster upon my back ready to defend myself. The power of the cold energy and the tentacles I was able to evade and did me little harm. That man was still close behind and caught us up. I realised later that it was one I had met in a group the previous day in the Abyss, his name was Clovis. He pretended to be innocent. But there was no one else around and is the most likely suspect though I admit I had not seen him actually cast the spell. He did not make any further move to attack. With my scythe still to my hand, I quickly revived Piri and then the guard arrived. I recognised Cratten's voice and let him deal with the situation, withdrawing my weapon on instruction.

Naya signed and dated the document, blowing on the ink then to dry it, passing it across to Aras and adding in conversation...

"Piri seemed disinclined to press charges for some reason once she was up and flying about again. I am not sure why not. I am happy to do so on her and my behalf though I was unharmed. I hope the Harmonium won't let this one slip through their fingers."
