Shardek made his way out of the various stalls and exotic merchandises who dotted the Bazaar. The sound was defeaning to most, shouting matches between vendors, carts, animals, and the general clamour of thousands of voices speaking at once. But after spending so much time in the city he had grown accustomed to the din, it gave him time to think.

As he continued though the stalls, his thoughts turned to the previous evening... one that still left him slightly perplexed. Why had Miss Seethe arrived at such a convenient time, and what was her goal in such mindless banter. That is to say if it was mindless. She had asked strange questions, things he know expected to return to haunt him.

"How did you come into the Mistress' service," remained chief amongst them, such a question was loaded. If she wished to know that, she wished to know more about The Mistress' doings, and that was something he could not let himself forget.

"She may have disappeared for the time... but her estate and by proxy, her personal doings, must be maintained" He thought to himself as he was halted by a marching column of Scarlet plated Harmonium marching past. He shifted his gaze to the basket held firm against his side, inside the groceries for the next week, wines, flour, and other ingredients for the half a dozen or so meals he would be making were contained. Not that any of it would be eaten.

"What had she meant by including that scroll, there has to have been some meaning to it" he murmured quietly as his thoughts drifted to the parchment Seethe had tried to bestow upon him as "payment" for his time.

"Was it some sort of message from the other or was Seethe merely oblivious to what the scroll could have been used for?" his thoughts continued to wander as he unlocked the front door with a wave of his hand, stepping through into the residence she had chosen for them. "It was quite obvious that she knew of some of my circumstances... but she could not know the whole story, unless she was being used as a messenger."

Shardek let out a long sigh, setting the basket upon the table. His gaze wandered around the empty room. "Out again, it seems" He chuckled lightly to himself as he settled himself upon the chair in front of the fire, his thoughts wandering away again... to some distant place, he could not quite remember.
