Kalina Sensbane's eyes closed as soon as her head touched her pillow, but it was some time later before she actually fell asleep. Too much was happening, and she had to determine a way to keep track of everything in which she was involved. Her notebook had gone unused for some time; perhaps she might write in it again soon.
Thoughts flickered in her head, and she tried to organize and sort them so that she would remember all that she had to do when her eyes opened again. She heard the door open to the room she now shared with Dom, and she mumbled out a tired greeting as her lover's soft footfalls entered their bedroom. He was exhausted as well, and after he undressed and slipped into bed beside her, Kalina was content to curl against him and allow herself to fall asleep at last.

It wasn't even dawn when her eyes flickered open, and she knew that she wouldn't fall back asleep. Dom's soft breathing was the only sound that disturbed the quietness of their room, and although she was reluctant to leave the warmth of his arms, Kalina had too many things to accomplish. The red-headed mage mumbled a sleepy protest as his blonde blanket left his side, but soon he was fast asleep again and none-the-wiser to her absence.
After bathing and dressing for the day, the young woman sat at the desk beside the bed and worked upon various papers for a time. One particular document was lengthy and complicated, but she had promised her friend that she would take care of it.
As merchants entered their stalls for another day of hawking their wares, Lady Kalina Sensbane left the Foul Olde Spirit and headed to file the document she just signed.

Amidst all the carefully worded legalese is the following phrase:
...and the lady, now to be known by the name of Gwynnithe Willow Sensbane, will be recognized as family of Lady Kalina Sensbane and is hereunto granted all the rights and privileges appertaining to such a decree...
At the very end of the multiple-page document, the signature of Kalina Sensbane is located, and there is a place for Gwynnithe to sign as well.

Once the document has been submitted, Lady Sensbane heads to another building to continue her errands. If and when she sees Gwynnithe in passing, the red-haired woman is told that she needs to sign the document in order to make it legal and binding, and directions to its location are shared.

Gwynnithe signs her name on the papers at the halls of records. The small act of quill to parchment changed everything for her... She had a family now for the first time. She'd never met her real parents but she had met Jach and Kalina. She supposed she'd have to stop flirting even in jest with her new sister... Nah... That just made it all the more hilarious.

A very excited Lady Sensbane arrives at the Hall of Records with her self-proclaimed brother, the paladin known only as Animus, in tow. After requesting the documents she filed to make Gwynnithe a Sensbane, Kalina quickly scribes an additional parchment to make Animus a family member as well.
The following familiar snippet is seen amidst all the other carefully scribed words:
...and the man, now to be known by the name of Animus Sensbane, will be recognized as family of Lady Kalina Sensbane and is hereunto granted all the rights and privileges appertaining to such a decree...
The signatures of both Kalina Sensbane and Animus Sensbane appear at the end of the document.
