In UNRELATED EVENTS ... ... There is an uproar among various merchants around the cage to recent production halts in the lower ward. It appears that all but the golems have stopped working for a few days. SIGS reporters are said to already be on the scene.

((have quinn PM me the stats/skills/and feats he wants to use on the dagger)).

As they decided with Argent-dono earlier this morning, colonel Araki went to Gatehouse, where nobody, except maybe for Kazuko ((OOC note: character of Hydra, met Yasuyo once)) should have known him in person, to conversate with bleakers.

He attempted to approach as much of them, as there were available and politely inquire for their rank in faction and any information if there were powerful psions, seers or extrasnses residing in gatehouse currently, or released lately and who those may be.

He stood no quarter not to give out even a single hint on purpose why he needed this information. His legend in case of bleakers insisting on telling reason, why he needed it, that he was asking on behalf of another person, who needed assistance and for some reason, unknown to him insisted, that this person should definitely be associated with cabal. If asked for exact details, he politely refused, telling the matter is delicate and confidential.

He wrote down a protocol table in his notebook, where first column was for questioned bleaker's names, second for their position in faction, third was describing his reaction, Fourth was reserved for answer if such was given.

((Note to EM: I intend to get a table (excel file, if thou would not mind creating such and sharing to me by uploading somewhere, would be appreciated.)
|Bleaker's name|Position in faction|Did he act helpful/with suspicion/hostility/respectful/non-respectful|What did he say (in two words) about psions residing there or released? Their names if such were named|))

The colonel & co.'s inquiries would start with the shrugs of a few dumbfounded staff, apparently clueless about his inquiries, proceed to a few defensive and evasive responses of "who are you again? where are you from? what exactly is your business here?," and culminate with two very large and scary looking orderlies escorting them off the grounds with extreme prejudice.

Upon reading the latest Sigis article, Rhistel found himself sighing slightly.

Oh great. I guess this was exactly what we were waiting for. A sign.

He snorted at the thought. Three days had passed already, considering the submission date of the writing, and he wondered if Argent had heard of it at all.
Although he was determined in believing the elf was doing just fine despite having the dagger with him, the Colonel didn't miss a chance to prod at his own sense of duty, even if unknowingly. He didn't need to be prodded, anyway, it was safe to state he owed more than a thanks to his space neighbour.

He folded the newspaper and exited the workshop, closing it for the evening; Daeryn had already left a while ago, anyway, and he dodn't expect any customer.

Walking up the stone stairs just next to his own house, he stopped in front of the spelljammer entrance. He did not knock at the door, he hardly believed the Melethkanara needed such an input to know he was there, and he just extended a simple thought in her direction.

"I would like to talk"

To whom, it was really not clear, though.

Having spoken with the Colonel and hearing about the dagger and the ill effected it has had on those trying to discern it's origin through acts of Divination and with Psionic Means, Oximinia heads to the halls of records in search of Research Material, Her Plans? Simple really, To construct a Device that Traces Psionic Signals, she plans on using Mindsilver in aiding her, for she knows that they have Anti Mind affecting properties. She goes in the halls in hopes of finding some References for something similar.

The recent events had earned Kala's attention as she came back from a few days off with her family. She quickly went to ask around the foundry, seeking explanations. She also commissioned an aide to ask to gather a few testimonies from affected people.

"if thou wishest to succeed at great cause, thou shallt take 80-90% of responsibility thyself, leaving 20-10% along with all fame to others" - Sakamoto Ryouma ©.

Having done with infiltration of Gatehouse, Yasuyo draws his own conclusions:

Overall conclusion was, that their expedition failed, because instead of acting towards success, both Argent and Aidan were more concerned of their own current state and complications it had caused, than surroundings and gathering of information, which were their common goal.

Argent, while there, and for some time after, seemed to had been affected by something, acting even in less ordinary way, he did usually. Aidan's behaviour, on the other hand, had proven to be highly unreliable in emergency situation and centered around defending his status quot which in sense of their common goal was rather harmful, than helpful.

For this reason colonel Araki decided, that next of his actions should involve those two as less as possible, because it is hard to rely on those, who disregard plans, do not wish to discuss anything and instead simply act how they feel suitable. it would be for their own safety.

Saying that the events of the last cycle had washed off of him during the night was probably a lie, but at least he was feeling slightly better, and as he really didn't manage to get the sleep he was "prescribed", he had at least time to process all the information they got.

The visit at the Gatehouse had turned into the most nonsense thing that had ever happened to him in a good while, and being accompanied by a Lemon who was convinced to be on some sort of undercover mission really didn't help.
That was on him of course, he agreed going along even knowing in advance what he was probably getting himself into. He had nothing to complain, in any case, in fact his presence hadn't changed anything in the happenings, either in better or worse: the three of them had been in fact merely victims of the events for the entire time, moved from a cell to another, their senses and powers dampened by either drugs or the strongly antimagical environment.
He was sure among them Argent was the one who had suffered the most from their... brief sojourn in that place. They had basically walked into a psionic whirlwind, and while both him and the Colonel were dull to that kind of feedback, the elf was way too sensible to it.

Of course, at this time, Rhistel knew better than to make a political mess out of this. Something extremely wrong was going on at the Gatehouse, and the last thing they needed was to pull Faction interactions inside all of this.

In the evening he had time to talk some more about all this with Argent and Kala as well. Not as much as he wanted, especially since Kala needed probably to be informed better before incurring in other incorrect notions on the matter, but the tiredness and the wine had not been a good combination for a constructive debate. He needed to talk to her again, in the near future.

Also, there was something else he had planned to do, information they had gathered while being locked down that were in need to be checked. And this, oh, he surely could do very well.
Of course, Neerepha was adamant in not having him leave the house without him after the scare he caused her by disappearing for an entire day, but this meant that she could as well accompany him. The place he was headed to was far from unfamiliar, afterall.

And he would soon know his research would add an extremely interesting information to the whole picture.

A quick note, scribbled and left for Argent at the Melethkanara, by Rhistel, she would know, although it is not clear why he didn't simply "speak". It only reads

Do NOT go to the Hall of Speaker.

Apparently uncaring, or just oblivious to the fact that the message he left for Argent was both cryptic and completely lacking in useful information, Rhistel conceded himself just one hour or so before deciding his next move, aimed at understanding what had happened in the only way he could think of at this current time.

He wanted some more informations himself before properly contacting the elf again, so after wearing some appropriate clothes for his new destination and adding some concealing wards as well just to be sure, he quietly left his home again.
