[Ended]Trial: Harmonium versus Kelth

[*Mr_Otyugh]

*Cratten nods a few times as Kelth talks and then continues his questioning...*

"This Marius was known to be a merchant if I have gathered that right? So is there in yer opinion any possibility that he might've just gathered these Alchemist Fires for selling purposes? But when provoked he decided to use them as his most reliable weapon?"


"And one last question after which I'll give the "stage" for the Assistant Defendant... why were ye smiling when taken out? This rather indicates to me that ye achieved something and could die happily knowing it had happened, but I don't know ye..."

*Cratten steps back and walks towards the crowd to talk to them more than Kelth the last words...*

"... but blowing up almost two dozen Cagers ain't smile worthy for me."

*he turns back at Kelth*

Scairt looks around and following the coversations and listens both to Cratten and Kelth..

and ties to be close too both Cratten and Kelth

*Kelth stands up once more, regarding Cratten from behind*

I would appreciate it if ye look at me when I answer yer question, sir prosecutor...

Indeed, Marius was knoown as a merchant...hoowe'er, as ye kin see on tha third stone...thar were bags o' holdin' in tha room, why would one begin to stall alchemist fire's in tha exact pattern ye kin see, tae sell them off?

those were placed, wiv oooutmost secure planned distance 'tween them...designed tae alloow 'imself movement...ye ask me this question, so I give ye me answer, nae...this man, was plannin' somethin' wiv them all along an' I 'ad a chance tae stop 'im....

I was taken oout of tha inn -dead- yer 'onor....as much dead as tha unfortunate soouls o' which I stand accused tae be part responsible fer...I was fortunate tae 'ave people tend tae me, but fergive me if I made it seem tae be 'appy aboout this....in me state o' mind, I could most likely only smile since I breathed again...an' Marius was dead....t'was nae untill I realised tha entire collateral Marius caused...untill me tears started flowin' which was seen by most tha' were present in tha 'armonium infirmary, mostly tha doctors...

*Kelth glances at the crowd, his face being sincerely saddened now, then glancing back at Cratten*

So on tha' acoount...nae, Sir prosecutor, tha' certainly was nae worth a smile, hoowe'er tha death o' a villain like Marius, certainly, at tha moment, in my state, -was- worth a smile...untill I learned o' tha horrible fate o'those I stand accused fer...

Naya nods then, without thinking, hearing Kelth's words, quietly speaking

"Twas as I told to Cratten....that smile....only for reason that he thought that evil madman dead...nothing else..." and she sighed, hoping for this farce to be over, hoping for the right justice on the verdict, she sent out her heart and her sense to Kelth in support.

Meanwhile, Piri behind the shadow of Naya's wings, snuck and pouffed invisible, then made her way quietly to the back of the court room, close to the doors.

*When Kelth asks him to face him, Cratten turns around and smirks slightly, nodding and gesturing him to go on with the answering*

*Cratten listens to his answers and turns towards Judge Orneth*

"I have no further questions yer honor."

*He walks to the Prosecution table and sits down there.*

*Judge Orneth scribes down what has been said and looks around the hall for moment after which he states...*

"We will now take a fifteen minute break for Factotum Potnik and Kelth to discuss of their defense strategy... after which Factotum Potnik will question the Defendant."

*Judge Orneth slams the hammer on the table marking that... Kelth and Factotum Potnik are taken outside the hall, others can only assume it to have been some small conference room*

((incase you wonder, me and Mausman talked the "strategy" part in other parts))

*... cutters do what they do during the break, soon they're brought back to their places, Kelth back to witness stand and defendant to defendants table... after 15 minutes Judge comes back to the Courtroom and slams the table as marking that the Trial continues*

"Fifteen minutes is over, we will now continue the trial, it is Assistant Defendant Potniks turn to question Kelth for defense."

*Judge Orneth gestures Potnik to get to it*

*the overweighted Guvner in light teal robe gets up from the Defendant table, after which he starts in simple manner...*

"Your honor, Defendant would like the Witness to speak freely to the Trial."

*Judge Orneth seems to ponder this for while... and finally states.*

"Allowed, witness may rise and speak to the Courtroom freely."

[*Mausman]

* The shackles on Kelth's hands and feet rattle as the towering Rashemi stands up...slowly, while glancing at those present...mourning families...Cratten...the Guvner assisting him....Naya'il....Jach...Sondaal...Ashrell...Elrik...Scairt.....Sallaria...turning towards the judge and inclining his head respectfully, then at his assisting Guvner*

*He then makes eyecontact with the entire crowd and jury, walking slowly from the full left, to the full right*

I thank ye, yer 'onor... *in a normal voice, but then raises his voice, respectfully still, speaking loud enough for all to hear*

I will nae repeat m'self as tae why I did wha' I did wiv Marius...

But I will tell ye this...

If a man...kin be cruel enoough tae offer nae less than one hundred thoousan' coin tae see someone crucified in public...an' offer also coin, fer those who choose tae defy such injustice...surely one kin think wiv common sense...this man was crazy enoough tae bring these alchemist fire's tae explode wiv or wivoout me thar...

I stand by wha' I told....I tried tae prevent 'im from detonatin'.....had I turned away an' walked, WHO kin tell me this nae would 'ave 'appened? WHO kin tell me, 'e would not 'ave detonated them himself an' then walked free?

Think fer yerselves...THINK....why was 'e havin' a competition tae 'ave people look like him?

fer fun??? or because he needed look alikes tae git away wiv somethin' 'orrible? maybe e'en more horrible than wha' 'e tried tae do tae those dear tae me...an' m'self.......

hoowe'er.....I regret tha fact, tha' this man took people wiv 'im in 'is death...'e shoould 'ave died by my 'ands wivoout causin' this much grief tae those left behind....endin' lives which were nae ready tae be ended at alll....

*Kelth glances at those who most likely cry at the mentioning of their loved ones*

*his own eyes moisten as he sees them, as this brings up memories of his own past...so many lives lost....so many he could not save*

I am so..so...sorry fer yer losses....could I ease yer sufferin'....I would....but this would nae bring 'em back...

Would I be in yer shoes, I would look upon me, tha only one tae point a finger at, wiv anger 'as well...fer tha' be natural...

Hoowe'er...when it comes doown tae punishment fer this...knoow full well tha' I still wake up in tha night, sweat on me head...seein' tha images o'burned bodies...

*Kelth glances the entire courtroom over*

I tried tae do wha' was rooight...act where other people were NAE actin' *his anger was showing now* I tried tae stop 'im...an' I failed tae save tha lives at stake...e'en one o' me friends who got 'urt by this...*he glanced at Sondaal*

But I stand by wha' I did...had I nae tried...I fear innocents would 'ave died an' 'e would 'ave gotten away...

-I- am tha one standin' 'ere nooow....but failin' tae stop an evil madman...could 'ave 'appened tae any sooul who would 'ave tried...

I chose tae speak tae guardsman Scairt so tha truth woould see tha daylight...an' noow it does...

I beseech all o' ye in this room...tae listen tae yer 'eart...be it anger t'words me...or understandin'......listen tae it, an' speak yer mind in final judgement...

I 'ave nae more words tae say...other than tha' I will carry tha burden' o' tha lives lost wha'e'er tha judgement will be....

I thank ye fer tha chance tae speak.. *he nodded at the courtroom, then to the judge as he walked back to his former seat, the chains rattling as he walked*

*Listens too Kelth's words*

Scairt gives a slightly expression and watches closeley so none will start to tear up the court... but stand quietly..

[*Mr_Otyugh]

*Factotum Potnik rises after Kelth returns to the witness stand*

"No further questions your honor."

*After this he takes his leave from the Defendant table, but remains in the courtroom still as Kelth takes the Defendant spot*

*Judge Orneth, scribes some things down to parchmetn once more, still remaining his even facial expressions and speaks out*

"Defendant may return to his seat."

*gestures Kelth to go back to his seat, after this he turns towards Cratten and speaks out once more.*

"Prosecution may now call their last witness if they so want."

*Cratten rises from his chair and speaks out to the Judge*

"Prosecution has decided to call no other witnesses, yer honor. Prosecution rests."

*after this he stands back at his chair*

*Judge Orneth scribes something down to parchment once more and turns towards Kelth, once more talks out loud*

"Defendant has no witnesses added, but several evidences has been added in. Defendant, please rise and represent the evidences for the Court."

[*Biohazard89]

*vale sits silently observeing the Trial with the thoughts about the outcome rushing through his head, Could Kelth be found guilty?. The thought made him sweat slightly*

[*Mausman]

*Kelth taps the first sensory stone*

I...suggest parents wiv children...tae remove them from tha coourtroom...please...this will shoow tha ferst encoounter wiv Queen o' Darkness..an' hoow Ixia got forced intae tha spreadin' o messages...an' tha threats combined tae 'er an' Sondaal...

*an Image of a she vampire was seen...threatening Ixia...forcing her to spread the messages of Kelths crucifiction...a severely injured Sondaal lies on the ground...and it is quite clear the she vampire threatens to kill her if Ixia refuses..including the experience of seeing the she vampire with fangs near Sondaal's neck...*

*after the images fade, Kelth taps the second one*

*it reveals how Ixia discerned the location of Marius in various ways...Sondaal and Ashrell Vect were there during the divination, Ixia first used Discern Location on one of the scrolls with the coin on Kelth for crucifiction on it, it showed the spot where Marius usually stood on the Bazaar... the next discern location was done upon one of the items Ixia sold to Marius...also....his Mask is shown....since one time Marius was seen fleeing a scene...his trappings found on the streets*

*the third stone, reveals how Kelth and Marius fight after Marius speaks "Individual indeed can be divided...but it won't be pretty..." Kelth seemingly having the upper hand....one would think it never failed...untill the shot of lightning shoots from his finger and the explosion wrecks the image with the eerie sounds of screaming people*
