The following days a muscular halforc dressed in simple linen shirt and pants is seen hacking away at the razorwine with a curved knife, cursing and muttering in crude orcish.
Hograth keeps his eyes open however, first examining the house, noting windows and doors, then waiting if the brothers get out or someone comes to visit them.

Caterina nods to Brogar.
"Good it is my plan to procure you some scrolls of clairvoyance, if you can use those. These should allow you to hear inside the house. In the mean time I will as suggested retrieve plans of the house from the hall of records and I shall send my familiar inside, they won't notice one more bat in the rafters of house and I will either be able to posses it or scry on it and its surroundings to observe them. Does anyone have anything else to add?"

Brogar shrugs
"I can try with the scrolls. I will keep you informed."

Hograth sees the ones described as Dace and Dash come and go from the house at regular intervals. They leaving during the night and arrive back at the house a few hours before the day cycle.Selebius,May 17 2013 wrote: The following days a muscular halforc dressed in simple linen shirt and pants is seen hacking away at the razorwine with a curved knife, cursing and muttering in crude orcish.

No one else comes and goes from the home except for daily delivery of stable groceries such as bread, milk and vegetables. These are delivered during the day time hours and Dash answers the door to pay, with a tip as you can see the smile on the kids face when Dash pays, then Dash takes a look around outside before closing the door.

Heading down to the bazaar Caterina would purchase several scrolls from Minerva. clairvoyance for Brogar and cryings for herself. Then she would head to the city courts where she would obtain all the documentation to request the plans of the house from the hall of records. Finally once she has everything in hand she would give Brogar the scrolls he needed and retire to her room in the inn. Summoning her familiar she would take a strand of fur from the bat's hide and place it opposite the mirror on her night stand.
The bat itself she would send to the house in the lady's ward and have it nestle itself away in the rafters of the building as such creatures often do in old houses she gives it instructions to get as close as possible to the inhabitants of the house before she unrolls the scroll and reads the spell using the fur from the bat and her familiarity with the creature to boost the effectiveness of her spell as she scrys on the creature and its surroundings in the mirror atop her dresser.

Caterina would scry each of the next four days, when this time had elapsed she would once again send a runner with a letter to, Hogarth, Brogar and Charae. She would make sure that the runners approached them when they were away from the house in the Lady's Ward.

Brogar sends a sealed letter to Caterina via courier.
Upon opening it would read:
"The children bring presents . . . perhaps they might make one sleepy. A good doctor is needed to enhance the experience. I recommend the hag. A little fairy dust and a rum cake make for happy dreams.

Hograth gathers the reports he wrote after each day, copies them and puts them into a folder.
He smiles to himself, grudgingly admitting (again) that a lawful, ordered approach to things has its uses and puts it on the table of the room where he knows Cat will find it. Then he also writes a note for her:

p.s. This folder contains my reports so far. I suggest you read them and cross reference them to your scrying results to get a bigger picture.

Caterina would read the replies and send the following letter to Charare at the prison and Brogar at his market stall. Hogarth would simply receive the information in person one morning.

I would like us all to meet one final time at the inn so we can discuss putting what we know into action. Tomorrow evening in suite seven if that is convenient.
