While inside she would spend her time alternating between trying to create a small construct with digging tools based off of Nidir's Meat Shield and also on working to clear out the tunnel within the ruins on the other side of the portal.  For her former task she would search around the building for any notes and spend resources experimenting until she made progress.  It was, however, the latter task which she spent the most time on.  She carried scrolls of Bull's Strength through the portal to empower herself while she tries to excavate the tunnel, and used the mending power of her dragonmark to repair her tools as they are damaged.  The cycle of day and night did not seem to matter to her for even in the late hours of the night she would only stop working on either of these tasks for necessities like eating.  Even sleep was something she did only when it could not be held off any longer.

\\ I'm sort of new to switching between Forum RP and In-Game RP so sorry if I trip on my own feet.  As far as I can tell there is no Craft Construct feat in the game, but I do have the prerequisite feats of Craft Magic Arms and Armor and Craft Wondrous Items if that counts for anything.

Aleis does not have much luck creating a construct based of Meat Shield; this construct seems weird missing many of the components a golem would typically require. However she does find some notes that are most useful in guiding her to make a construct fitting to the task at hand. The stone was thick and she would often have to repair her tools although she slowly made progress through the thick stone. Every now and then while she is in the house she gets the feeling Meat Shield is watching her although when she turns to inspect the golem it seems motionless staring at the door.

After a few days of digging she does find something mixed into the rubble, the remains of a giant red dragon. If she does not stop for anything else or to investigate the remains, she will reach the next chamber in a few days with the aid of her construct.

While you are still a pile of papers loosely held together by some strings and leather around you I still addressed you in that manner. Why? I am not certain. Still, that is irrelevant at present.

What is relevant? My meeting with Annie and the results of it. Initially I gathered up the broken crystal that I mentioned last time, it was tricky but thankfully it had broken in (mostly) large pieces so there was few tiny splinters. Then I spent the next two days putting it together, which even with my considerable intellect, was a hard thing to do. Then finally, I invited Annie over to the room I had hired and cleared. Yes, cleared, for I had emptied it of everything and stuffed it aside before I had written the pentagram onto the floor.

There I placed four ivory pieces in a circle as I had the gem in the center and asked Annie for my help, our combined abilities in divination allowed us to invoke the powers of the legend lore ritual and though it exhausted us both it may have yielded some resultsÂ… Certainly better than had I tried it alone, I have no talent in divination.
The shards come to life with a magical glow as the spell is cast they seem to almost adsorb the arcane energy radiating fairly brightly before slowly decaying back to their natural state. its obvious that despite the many pieces the gem is in its magic has not yet been lost.

A vision is granted to the two.

You stand upon the hot desert sand, Dust and sand swirls around you hindering your view. As you step forward a gust of wind blasts forward bringing with it the smell of death and decay; it clears the swirling sand to reveal a valley of dead body's totaling in the hundreds of thousands.

Within the center of this valley of dead you see two robed figures fighting with powerful magic. as you step closer you notice one is dressed in robes of azure blue with gold lining he appears humanoid in shape but his hood hides his face from view. The other however seems to be a mass of shadow in humanoid form. The two seem evenly matched in battle until you start to cast, a blast of hellfire leaving your hands and striking the blue robed man in the back.

A great sadness washes over you as the man falls to his knees and the vision fades

The knowledge you have of legend lore does not seem to match the effect the spell just produced. it seems something within the crystal altered the spell.

Aleis kept a single bone of the dragon's remains for herself, but otherwise attempted to keep the remains as undisturbed as possible as she continued excavating the tunnel. With her construct operational she spent less time digging personally and instead opted to study the runes and objects in and around the ruins. Nevertheless, she endeavored to keep digging until she reached the chamber ahead.

While returning to Sigil for supplies she also kept an eye out for Nidir; both cautious and and intrigued by the seemingly aloof man, she had hoped to relate what she discovered to him to better understand his motives.

I will start by writing the dream I had, it began withÂ… the rest of the text is smeared out, as if the ink was ruined by water and not allowed to dry. The next letters are written by a far more shaking handwriting.

...on the other hand, I do not want to write it. I have enough horrors in my waking life, I do not need to recall old tragedies. Instead I will once more throw myself into my work and describing what I have been doing.

It has been a long time since I last saw Nadir and an almost as long time since Annie and I created the ritual, and I have not sat idly by in the meantime and there have been many thougths to answer. My first part of buisness were researching the figures from the vision, who where they? And the second one was, who was I in the vision? Or rather we? This too I did through the same means as the gem, but iÂ’ve been preparing for other means too.

I may be poor with divination but I am an expert with necromancy and I can seek knowledge directly from the dead, I can better than most compel and command the undead and while my expertise normally is one I use to lay the undead to rest (Yes I am a necromancer who dislikes the undead) I can at times use it in other means if it leads to a greater success and given Nadirs involvement with the undead there is a good cause for this to continue.

Then there is the gem, shattered as it is, I will seek to repair it with the aid of the mending spell, it will be a long and arduous process but I seem to be making process. Perhaps once its made whole again I might have a more successful chance at divining its original purpose.

Nidir does not seem to return however Meat shield remains unmoving except for the slight movements to watch the artificer. the newly uncovered hall way is littered with carvings of a giant black dragon locked in some epic battle with a demonic like creature.

The first time Aleis views the carvings they seems to come to life and move to do battle the demonic figure twisting and changing its shape into a colossus two headed half cat half human like creature; close in appearance to the rakshasa. its might seems far greater then the dragons until suddenly a crystal from around the black dragons neck lets of a burst of light. When her vision finally focuses the carvings have returned to normal. further study indicates powerful illusion magic triggered by walking into the hall.

Shortly after this weird vision the last of the rock has been cleared by her golem revealing a door glowing with a magical wall of force. It is at this time Nidir returns to the house.

Elrithia's research indicates the crystal can be restored through the use of both a mending spell and an alchemical mixture. however one of the herbs know as brain seed can only be found upon the world of athas. It seems though by chance or fate that a women fitting Astara's description has been seen staying within the foul olde spirit inn. if anyone could lead the mage to the burning prime it would be her.

///small note i intend to do the following up events this weekend i would suggest bringing a few friends or mercenary's, keep in mind there are penalty's if you fail. i will update the times in a day or two.
