Annia continues to continue. Her rounds as normal throughout the troubles, being both a hiver and a dustman she is by now a somewhat familiar sight, though the number of summoned undead who acomapny her on her trips grow in number as a warning to those who interupt her rounds. She does not seem to apreciate the increasse in her workload that such incidents always brought with them.

*Reshar goes on with his business as usual but knowing this might lead to trouble he prepares the Infirmary for an increased amount of wounded. He stays away from trouble, mostly minding his own business*

The hostilities in the Hive escalate as the Doomguard Separatists continue to patrol and launch strikes against suspected Phoenix Troop safe houses. Meanwhile looters and trouble makers have made their appearance, taking whatever they can and generally aggravating the situation. Hivers have either bunkered down in whatever shelter they can manage or packing what little they have and are attempting to flee the combat zone.

Arsons grow more frequent, buildings set ablaze by either the Doomguard Separatists or as collateral damage in the cross fighting. The number of corpses in the streets has doubled in conflictÂ’s short breadth and Annia and her fellow Dustmen find themselves hard pressed to accomplish their work, but for the time it appears that a large undead contingent is enough to keep her safe from the chaos.

Phoenix and his supporters would continue to press the attack where possible. Run in "en masse" and throw firebombs, granades, etc then fall back into the backstreets. Snipe from rooftops with crossbows, bows and slings then escape through back alleys and rooftops, Throw tar and smokebombs to redirect groups who are in persuit to trapped areas. Caltrops, oils, more of these plus any and all number of "on the spot" ideas they can come up with.

Open combat is avoided at all costs. Anarchists are advised to "not" engage the enemy in melee combat. "Hit 'em, hurt 'em and leave 'em" is the order of the day. Phoenix gladly takes part in as much of the action as possible. Those who are aware of who he is on the field knows he lives for this kind of thing.

No statements are made at this time.

Hildmor sighed, leaning back in his chair.

"Well, Harmonium reaction is no surprise really. The Scourge doesn't know much about the sponsors...but as soon as we find a lead, I'll assign our best to tug at it...as for now..."

He picks up an issue of S.I.G.I.S, looking it over in thought before he speaks:

"That person or a collective of people or whatever that King really is..." He paused "You see, he or she or it or them seem to make a great impression of a barmy with some sway and power Now he's drawing real ire of several Factions and you might say that we're fine with Harmonium on our asses...but his situation will be quite different. After all, we never tried to actually usurp Harmonium or otherwise Factional power."

Hildmor chuckles.

"However, even I can't tell what is really going on. Anarchists, Harmonium...they're all going to be biting at that...'King' for now but in truth...that entity might as well be a simple instigator, a decoy target to cover up for something far more intriguing. In other words, just as many other things in this multiverse...that 'King' is not what it seems to be. If not for the current situation with the Harmonium we'd send in a team to take a closer look...but nowadays, we'll have to rely on one of our secret agents. And yes, I am taking interest because of the Bazaar."

Bill makes it back home, out of breath and sweating. He quickly seals the door and activates the wards that are not in continual use. They had better work like the mage promised.

He walked to the liquor cabinet and took out a bottle of whiskey. A long drink from the bottle. His hands still shook slightly... an odd sight for a man with the muscle stability of a brain surgeon.

Somehow this... King... had taken him from the Tavern. Poof... one minute checking hidden notes and the next in an abandoned palace. Some large appartition confronting him.

It knew his full name. A name not spoken since Bill was eight... and one he hated hearing anyone but his mother calling him... William. It also knew he was Phoenix. That was unfortunate but not earth shattering...

It tried to reason with Bill. Tried to get him to follow it. To permit it, unopposed, to control the Hive... even offered Bill control of all the Doomguard troops to hold it from the Reds... full control of the Hive, under his idle watch, all for the price of Amaku's head...

"No deal" was all Bill replied to it. Not now, not ever. Bill... Phoenix... would answer to no one. Would serve no one. He was a Revolutionary... not a puppet to a false king.

It chose to imprison him in the Ruins. Left him to wander about the crumbling halls... mistake. Never let a prisoner wander without knowing where he goes. Bill found an old portal within an Altar. Found the key amoungst a large chest of gold. Left the gold... took the key. Used it and found himself in the Undersigil lake. Tossed the key, a heavy golden crown, into an ooze portal and made his way home.

Looks like he'll have to coordinate the Revs from here because until this thing ends... he's stuck under the wards in the hopes he'll not be found.

He finds uneasy rest that night. That was too close.

A rather dissapointed Kail plods the streets of the hive where an unthought out and incompetant version of the plans he has been putting together for months had been carried out without his knoledge.

He quickly makes an about turn and heads for the armoury to seek out Pentar and get this storm of crap flowing in the correct direction before the Doomguard looses everything it could have had in the Hive.

Meanwhile as the bars refuse to sell ale to punters the orcs begin bringing barrels through their portal and selling rediculous amounts of Nishrek Ale, an aquired taste but dark and potent enough that those wanting to drink their days away would aquire it soon enough.

Without the direct guidance of Phoenix the battling becomes sloppier and property damage increases throughout the Hive. Dustmen find themselves increasingly busy with the amount of bodies, mostly Doomguard Separatist and Revolutionary League soldiers.

Meanwhile a letter is delivered to Phoenix via one of his trusted men. It reads:
wrote:Phoenix,

IÂ’m impressed that you managed to escape my little cage, though I am sad for the lack of company. I genuinely believed that we could grow friendly. IÂ’ve also given some thought to your grand show of rebellion and realized that youÂ’re quite correct. The people donÂ’t need a ruler, benevolent or otherwise. So I accept your offer. IÂ’ll recall my forces from the Hive, and purge all claim to the Ward and its people, if you will deliver AmakuÂ’s head. IÂ’ll not allow my pride to prevent the safety and protection of the people. Of course, I donÂ’t mean to leave either. IÂ’ll remain as a periphery deterrent for anyone who wishes to repeat AmakuÂ’s endangerment, but IÂ’ll not claim or rule.

Help me send a message that the people of the Hive arenÂ’t to be troubled via AmakuÂ’s head piked at the path to the Slags. Should you agree, simply have the bearer of this letter wear a green bandana on his head for a day or so. IÂ’ll immediately recall my forces and will personally dwindle to naught but rumor for the period of two weeks. Should AmakuÂ’s head find itself piked as previously described, that period will become indefinite.

Regards,
The King

More Doomguard enter the hive and start to join the others.

[OOC: Might need to plan something with you regarding the normal Doomguard infiltrators to the Hive separatists.]

Amaku's personal unit of Hardheads were well versed in the Hive, all of them, as they were known were the Hiveborn, they were the ones Amaku herself had chosen from the Hive's worst and raised them to a redeemable status worthy of a Hardhead.

The goodthing was, like the mover, they were all too familiar with the way the Hive worked, they knew the alleys, they knew the gangs.

She made sure the Measures in the troop kept contact with the most Anxiom favoured gangs to assure they would cooperate with the Hardheads presense and give them a possitionable safezone in the Hive. She made sure this particular zone in question was close to an immediate retreat into any of the other wards, especially the market or ladies if she could get there directly.

It was also a good way to stage a vanguard for Harmonium operations there.

She delt with local gangs that were loyal to the Harmoniums idealisms. These natives to the Hive were promised some amnesty and clearance in return for temporary cooperation in the service of the hardheads.

Because of their loyatly, the Harmonium are able to temporarily hold the bridges connecting the hive to other wards. They begin a careful trafficing segregation to assure that convoys of people are kept in line. They also make sure any seperatists, anarchists and other sinkers in the crossfire are caught and arrested.

She makes absoleutley specific not to kill on sight, her men, being feircley loyal, make sure to obay their commander at all costs. They would arrest, and if necessary detain by force, but not a single man or woman arrested was killed. Each caught in her web was given amnesty opportunities and a chance to help end this war by finding information on the King.

Despite this, Amaku was playing it safe, she wanted the more personal field troops to take care of the main meat of the matter, while she handled the bulk with her men forming a coastline defence around the bridges and sewer ways.
