A request to Oerianna

N just sits there an takes a sip from his glass. "That would all have to depend on ones own definition of truth. To some the truth is only their own oppinion, while everything else is discarded. For others, it is a statement backed up by proven fact. Yet for others it is a compromise between two differing views. So next I ask you, what is truth to you?"

He takes another sip and patiently awaits a response.

"I do not see these shades of grey. Something is either true or not - a statement backed by fact... or not."

*Oerianna doesn't elaborate - not wishing to speak more than is necessary, or give him any kind of insight into any valuable information she may know. She tensely awaits response.*

"Don't believe in a sense of grey? My oh my how one ignores reality." N takes another sip and scratches the back of his neck. "And you mean 'or not' by what one spoon-feeds to others, due to being ordered to? I can tell you are hiding something, and perhaps you might just tell me yet." Zaed pull out another flask and tosses it to Oerianna. "If you don't like firewine, perhaps water will work for you instead." Another swig of firewine goes down. "I do not like it when people skirt around the answers, just be happy I shed certain habits long ago. So I will ask again, what exactly do you mean by 'or not'? To me it means one has caught themselves up as will as others in a lie. Especially when one claims to be seeking the so called truth and handing it out on a silver platter." He finishes off the glass of firewine, setting the glass aside. "So, answer that for me. Then I will answer a question for you, since I just know that you are chomping at the bit for some answers."

"I'm not thirsty. Nor am I inclined to engage in a debate with you." She pauses, biting her lip with uncertainty. "You're also misconstruing my definition of the truth, so allow me to spell it out for you and clear your misconceptions:" Either something is true, or a lie, or a speculation. There is no middle ground. Either one is telling the truth, or LYING. That is my view."

Oerianna, again, doesn't speak more than is absolutely necessary to answer the man's questions. Now, she seems to be studying his mannerisms and clothing, attempting to size him up.

She would notice he is being polite about it. He is definitely wearing clothing. She would notice plenty of scarring on his face, a symbol of Hextor branded into his forehead BUT it got worn away, covered by a tattoo of the "Sigil Scale" that graces his flyers. He would also have an appearance to what one could assume as world-weary, worn.

"Well then, so much for hospitality. As for your beliefs, Truth and Falsehood can only be determined by the evidence at hand, yet you obviously stated such as truth without presenting proof that such is true. That may have just been an oversight on your part though." He gazes into her eyes, as if to ascertain something about her character, her personality. "And Speculation IS middle ground, but perhaps you did not get the memo, speculation is neither truth nor lie, and shouldn't be presented as either. Perhaps that is the cause of your current troubles. I can tell you this though, you have made yourself many enemies. We needn't be as such though, but I will leave that up to you."

He stands up and paces about in order to stretch out some, then sits back down. "Perhaps you may have not realized it, or maybe you do but you might not want to admit such, but your seeking of the truth, and how you presented it... It was a threat of further tossing things off balance. Sigil thrives on balance. It is why the faction system is in place. Tipping the balance too far in any direction WILL cause even further conflict, further decay of the fulcrum, Sigil itself."

He sighs, "There is more than enough conflict as it is, especially in regards with the Harmonium and cartel involved. Then you come along and instigate yet another conflict,this one being the hive and the E-Now movement. Yes, maybe they did go about it the wrong way, but they at least had the wisdom to admit they went about it the wrong way. You on the other hand... you continued to instigate long afterwards..."

*Not much can be gleaned about her character by looking into her eyes. Her light green orbs do betray a degree of fear and concern, though.*

"I don't disagree with anything you've said about truth, I'm not sure why you're lecturing me on it though.

As for **instigating** - well that is your angle. I see myself as revealing the truth. The stability of the situation is immaterial to what I do. I care little about any current conflicts: Blood War, Harmonium, or otherwise. There will always be conflict - that is no justification to silence reporters.


I also agree that I have made numerous enemies- it's easy to do that when you're revealing darks. Regardless of however many enemies I have, though, I will continue to write."

"Well then, I guess you are wondering about my demands then." N would keep his seriousness, the current intimidation tactic he has been using. "At the moment, I want you to resign from S.I.G.I.S. .The next section could go a few ways depending on the path you choose. You could either join my service, keep your job and such. You would definitely need a new name though. Another choice would be to completely ignore the options, which then I will most definitely need to take action. The other would be to flee sigil, remove all remaining traces of your existence, of your life here. You would at least be able to live in some relative peace on some prime somewhere, start your own news syndication there. If there are any other options, they are all adaptable of the situation." N would then stand in front of the exit, preventing escape, at least until she makes a choice.

"And if I choose not to resign from S.I.G.I.S?" *She asks through gritted teeth and narrowed eyes.

"You will go through hell, I can guarantee that. If not by my hand, then someone elses."
N keeps standing there. "So you have your options, and now you have a decision to make."

"You haven't planned this out very well, have you?" *Oerianna chirps in an almost taunting manner.*

"First you kidnap me, then you tell me I'm free to go, now you stand in the doorway, blocking my escape?" *She pauses, ruminating on the last line.* "It's almost as if you don't know what you want."
