As they neared the street with the target house, John would fall back about a block before they reached it. At this point he would be, once again, a solitary traveler going about his business. His bow would be strung and hanging loosely on his shoulder and his quiver would be uncapped. He would put BenÂ’s harness on so the dog was alert and on guard.
He would find a position where he could see the house, rooftops and all entries/exits from the street. It was time to play hunter once again. If anything should suddenly seem out of place, such as people moving in on his two companions, he would want to be aware.

As he approaches the door Norman would once again find it locked. A quick look around would reveal an open window upstairs. He could probably fit if he could get up there. Meanwhile from his vantage point John would see the streets of The Hive are mostly clear, even in broad daylight no one wants to wander around the hive. A street away a group of men leave a twvern however. Judging by their stagger they are drunk already.

Norman waits a bit.... and then simply knocks.
He is are that there is no stealthy way for him to enter this house and climbing up to the window will not work.
Also knocking might attract some neighbours- and fits the role of a Healer of Pelor well.

John maintains his spot, staying on the edge of the streetÂ… simply loitering with his hound. He keeps a keen eye on the drunkards as they wander down the street.
((btw… this made my head hurt; “even in broad daylight no one wants to wander around there at night.” Hehe ))

The reaction makes him smile- he expects that the people are watching and knows that what happens here might be the topic of gossip for a few days.
Looking at the group of drunks he merely leans against the wall, hoping they will pass by without making trouble.

Eventually the drunks find their way to the door. One of them, a rotund man with straw hair and a red nose approaches Norman. He places his arm around Norman's shoulder the smell of sweat and stale beer clinging to him. He sprays spit when he talks.
"Be careful going in there father..."
He appears to have noticed Norman's attire
"Shower of shneaky shnakey bastards. Not to be trusted the lot of them."
One of them points up at John.
"Oi careful up there basher, you'll fall!"

Norman listens showing no signs of disgust or annoyance- it is the duty of a priest of Pelor to deal with those who found themselves on the harder sides of life.
"Thank you for the warning, friend. Do you know about them? They are troublemakers?"
