There is no answer but a few crossbow bolts aimed blindly, one hitting Eman into the shoulder, making him spin around and drop screaming as the acid it is imbued with eats through flesh and bone.
Then a large bull like Minotaur, rushes out its bulky body hitting the Aasimar, throwing her to the ground while she is still able to impale the creature with her blades- but it is far from being defeated yet. Four other people stumble from the smoke, half blind and coughing- a human woman and a male tiefling, carrying crossbows and a armoured Bariaur and some odd, small goblinoid with spiked armour and gauntlets.

Khari winced as she hit the ground. The young ranger jumped back on her feet. The ranger saw her lieutenant go down. "Eman!"
Focusing her attention on the minotaur, Khari dropped into her fighting stance and slashed at the monster with a scissor-cut. She shouted for the other Hivers to defend themselves.

They do already, trying to fight their opponents but Khari sees they are outmatched by the experienced pit fighters. Still they suceed to bring down the Goblin-thing and the crossbow man while Khari finishes her opponent. The Bariaur moves close to the woman, tries to grab her- probably to attempt an escape.
Eman is alive but wounded, the bolt fell off as the acid ate away both wood and flesh and the man crawls back, away from the battle.

Khari nodded. "They deserve to go home. I think we all deserve some time to heal up." Khari glanced at the entrance of the hideout. "The two prisoners will be questioned, and we will want to recruit. Ill hand out the week's pay plus food expenses."
