Hasclaan nods in agreement.

"I agree with all of this. More festivals are a good idea, attract business and travellers and provide a good way to relax and compete in a friendly and safe enviroment."

" I will repeat myself as others asked to clarify. I'd say we should ban weapon making that isn't made by people not belonging to ANY faction, that means people would have the choice, but in no way a non-factioneer should be allowed to legally do so. I do admit this might be a little harsh and we could tax them heavily instead.

This is simply a rule to make sure keep factional prominence and control on trade, while those who decide we aren't good enough for them will have to either relocate or pay increased taxes as Factor Ra'Zeth suggested. Actually we could possibly extend this to all domains of Sigil's economical life, this will benefit us all."

((and yes I know its not noobie friendly, but honestly why should our PCs care ?))

Sasha finally piped back up:

"I'm sorry, Kala. . or, Factor Ta'kan. . . but this idea is a little extreme. The city has plenty of problems, but I'm not sure 'independent craftsmen' are one of them.

"For one, it seems it would, as Administrator Guunt suggested, mainly serve to drive more recruits towards the Godsmen and Doomguard. How does that benefit the rest of us? Are we also going to demand that all bards join the Sensates to practice their trade in the city?

"I'd be a little worried about such a proposition. I know at least in the Sensates, many of us care about whether our new namers actually hold to our faction ideals, and I've heard its the same in other factions - particularly the Godsmen. So why create a situation where people feel compelled to join a faction regardless of what they personally believe?

"Instead, I would like to re-bring up my suggestion of the way house for newcomers to Sigil. In addition to providing a public service, it could also serve as a recruitment point for any faction that wished to participate. It would be more like a gentle nudge in the right direction for incoming non-factioneers."

Kala smiled at Sasha.

"I'm not certain the city should spend money to welcome inbound gatecrashers who just come to loot and pass where we can give something for the poor in the hive. Why aren't we talking about a rational plan to improve the living conditions of the denizens of the hive instead ?"

"As crafting and enchanting serves many more purposes than simply creating and selling goods I we will not support this motion.

We have several ongoing research projects that would be greatly hampered by this and I think the same is true for other factions- we all enjoy to create things to further our respective faction's goals, be it devices for research or art... or whatever else we need.

Independent crafters are a boon for all factions."

Emila listens to the clarification before she speaks.

"My Faction cares very little for commerce. We will not support this motion, but we will not oppose it either."

A bit surprised that somebody offers something instead of making demands Hasclaan smiles, nods at the Sensate.

"The Fraternity will help where we can.... for example making the aquisition of licenses and such easy and quick."

I understand your concern, Sasha, but if we are all to coexist, then we need to have a voice. Placing the dates in the hands of the Xaos... would it create a situation that might... make preparation and planning difficult? Of course... and that's the point. While I don't understand the desire of chaos nor do I embrace it, I understand that the Xaos require it. Permitting this sort of chaos would help them as much as the Festivals would help you.

"If an increase in festivals would encourage an increased amount of trade, commerce and perhaps even jobs, that may lead to lowering the amount of crimes of desperation. I'll also support the notion of the Sensates."

During a long conversation with her fellow Godsmen factor Malefina, Kala nodded a few times, seeming to consider a few things, then both women grinned at each other in agreement.

- I personally have no disagreement with the Sensate proposition.
