As the council sat once more, Charles Goodman would enter the hall and find seating in the public gallery behind the Fated. He would be in the company of a young woman who walked with him, her arm hooked around his. She appeared to be more of an escort, a very attractive escort, than an associate. A few friendly greetings and words to a few members of the Fated that he knew before he would sit. His Indep pin polished and set upon his lapel so anyone could see.

He would settle in and intently listen to the session

Dace nodded approvingly as Factor Swanson delivered the Mercykiller counter-proposal, and even allowed a small, satisfied smile to crease his features as the majority voted in support.

Great, now that this song and dance is over, we can now-

His thoughts were interrupted by Factol Darkwoods voice. A sinking feeling came over him as the Fated's Factol rose and spoke, silent prayers to every Power in existance offered if they would just make the Xaositec tomato bomb the gasbag...

The hopelessness soon faded to confusion as the Factol spoke his mind, the warlock finding himself unsure of what the old man actually intended in this.

It came as some relief to see the Mercykiller proposal passed without incident. And then the Fated factol stepped up to speak. Quinn an apprehensive glance toward his factol and nearby factioneers as they listened.

The proposal did not sound too alarming..Quite reasonable in fact. His attention gradually turned outward, looking to gauge how other factions and their representatives were reacting.

Kala looked exhausted. Once the angry Doomguard started insulting her faction and their allies she shrugged faintly, offering Pentar a glance without any trace of sympathy nor hostility.

As Darkwood started to speak, she sighed, nodded a few times before a faint smile traced on her lips.

-------------------------------------------------------

Among the ranks of the Doomguard, someone was swearing in a rather creative fashion "Godspricks, Mercyposers, Athards, Senlessapes, Sight of none, Barmonium, Fraternity of Overthinkers, Translucent wankers"

Morthos was, at first, kind of annoyed. Five factions were voting for the Harmonium proposal. Why? Did they not see how the Hardheads were abusing their power in the name of "duty" and "peace"?
However, when the Mercykillers stood up and made their counter-proposal, the Athaon gave a cynical smile. That's what was discussed. The Mercykillers held up their end of the deal. Now, if the other end would just...happen. He waited.

...

When Duke Darkwood spoke up, the Cambion smiled cruelly. There. That was it. The Harmonium and their "harmony" should be reined in now. He knew what some of the other factioneers had told him, and he thought - though he wasn't certain - that this should pass too. Well, time to wait and see! With anticipation, Morthos rubbed his hands together and settled in to hear what would come next.

While waiting, he sent a note off to Factor Ta'Kan of the Godsmen.

In the seats at the top of the hall, somewhere in the back, Altair had almost quit listening. He'd come back again just in case of being needed, but he definitely felt like he was just there counting portals. His gaze roamed the hall idly as they tallied off the votes for and against the Doomguard and Harmonium. It wasn't until he heard Duke Darkwood mention the Free League several times that he started paying attention again, with mild curiosity. Then the Factol said something that really got his full attention.

"I propose that we give the Bazaar back to the Free League."

Altair found himself stunned. Someone was listening? He sighed, and smiled faintly. Well bully for them, the jammy bastards. The League deserved better. It almost made it feel like the trouble had been worth it, just to get even someone listening to them.

Sitting up a little straighter in his seat, he listened a little closer. Perhaps politics was less boring than he'd originally imagined.

From his seat, Rhistel seemed extremely amused... not clear whether because of the Duke's speech or because of the confused reactions to it.

A quiet greeting was offered in return at the Indep representative, Mr Goodman, as he took place behind the Fated, then the attention was returned to the Hall and the rest of the audience, the light amused smirk still on his lips.

Nonetheless, he at least seemed to be enjoying this session a bit more than the last one.

The Doomguard stood silent at the initial results, but pretty soon whispered words were said, the defeated triumvirate of Sinkers, Destroyers and Regulators already looking for ways to strike back.

Among the Regulators, a drow exchanged words with an elderly tiefling and began writing a few notes, sending them to the Godsmen and Athar via a quasit.

"Sounds like the Triad want a convenient excuse to remove the Doomguard. How funny how they don't stick to their own laws."

The Drow Sensate quipped from his seat.

"Last I checked, battles fought in places not protected by Harmonium law were by no means under their jurisdiction, the 'lawfulness' of this decision is ridiculous. In fact, I'd go as far to say as this is simply an orchestration of blame to see the Doomguard dismantled. Absolutely ridiculous.

*Ea'raldor is interrupted by the unnamed speaker; allows him to finish then continues*

"This is the Hall of Speakers no? So I am allowed to voice my opinions without interruption, regardless of my rank within a Faction or otherwise. Regardless whether this point has been adjourned, I have concerns with its ultimatum. Thank you very much for reminding me of my rights."

*he cleared his throat and since the continued interruptions of the speaker did not allow him to finish his declaration, he left looking rather miffed*

The sensate factor seemed extremely perplexed by the namer's sudden outburst. He moves to get up, just about to ask him to settle down before the man stormed off of his own accord.
