[Ended]Trial: Harmonium versus Kelth

[*Mr_Otyugh]

*Judge Orneth watches the Sensory Stones showing it all, although no doubt he had viewed them earlier as well... after the show is over, he turns towards Cratten and asks...*

"Does the Prosecution have anything to say about the evidences brought in?"

*Cratten stands up and speaks*

"Prosecution only would like to remind what we stated in the opening speech and during witness questioning, yer honor. There are spells that can alter memories, the Sensory Stones are only storing the memories, and one of the most important pieces of evidence is damaged and not showing enough to be tangible. That is all yer honor."

*Cratten sits down...*

*the Judge nods and looks around the Courtroom for while, he speaks out*

"The Trial will now hold another fifteen minute break for me to consider each and every side of the brought out evidences and information."

*He bangs hammer to the table once more as marking of the begin time, after this the Judge leaves the room for while... another fifteen minute break is held, each and everyone helds it the way they want, eventually all necessary ones are taken back to their places and Judge returns to the table...*

*Judge remains quiet for some time and bangs the hammer on table to gesture that the trial continues*

"After viewing through the witness testimony and evidences, I have come to conclusion that Kelth McEwan is... Guilty."

*Judge bangs the hammer multiple times to cease the uproar rising in the Courtroom... and continues*

"Kelth McEwan, I have deemed that your punishment has however been served. Clearly you show regret, that is all. You are free to go, guards, release him. The Trial has ended."

*Judge bangs his hammer twice as the mark that it has ended*

*Few guards come to unleash Kelth from the shackles*

*Cratten gets up from his prosecution table and walks to Kelth, offer his hand for shaking again even, he doesn't seem at all disappointed, even smiles slightly*

"Seems we both got what we wanted eh? Well, maybe in different manner than intended, but still. Good show eitherway."

[*Mausman]

*Kelth shakes Crattens hand with a smile, even clasps both of his hands*

Yer doin' yer job lad...nasty shoow wiv yer back tae me thar *he slaps him playfully on his upper arm* but tha' grin fixed it all...well spoken an' represented...aye...we both got wha' we wanted t'seems...*he smiled and released his hands...then walking up to Naya and took her in for a meaningfull hug*

Scairt watches them shake ther hands and thinks too himself Harmonium need to get a Guard inside the Inn so my Ale don't get blown up again... and smiles...

*Naya just holds Kelth in relief, allowing all to see her in Kelth's embrace, no longer caring who sees*

*Piri pouffs out of the shadows from the back and buzzes at rapid wing pace to climb atop kelth's head, mess his hair up by ruffling it, legs spawling over his shoulder and back, her tiny feet poking into Naya as well as she perches and attempts to join in the snugglin'*

"WHEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! yer freeeeeeeeeeee...!"

Sondaal breathes a sigh out in relief that she wasnt brought up too much and watches Kelth go over to Naya for a hug. She looks over at Ash with a smile on her face. "What a way to spend my birthday huh? We can still hold a proper one later tonight."

*As the Trial is about to start, the court assigned guards looks through the crowd once and takes rest of them to their seats, soon there comes an announcement at the Court RoomÂ…*

“All rise! Judge Orneth…” *everyone physically capable rises ((to save time from waiting everyone to reply their character stands up))*

*The small male rock gnome steps to the hall with carrying few tomes under his arm and looks up at most of them, then walks to his desk and appears to climb up set of ladders to get on the table level, he sets the tomes to the table, puts on some kind of oversized glass goggles to his face and starts to read from some parchment on his desk.

As the gnome gets to the position, everyone sits down again. Judge Orneth speaks with unexpectedly loud voiceÂ…*

“Kelth McEwan, you are accused by the Harmonium of being half the reason for 23 deaths at Smoking Hammer Inn, as well as the destruction of the said Inn. How do you plead?”

*Vale Quietly Slips into the Court room and takes a seat after haveing handed over his armor and weapons at the entreance then observes at the court progressses*

*Kelth, now standing, inclines his head respectfully*

I came tae Sigil...tae start a new life, yer 'onor....

like many a sooul....I earned me keep wiv errands...workin' fer Gundul...all tha other folk in tha inn....some people ooutside o' tha inn who were in need...


Time progressed, an' I was fortunate enoough tae be meetin' soouls I could call friend...t'seems all went well, yer 'onor...

In return fer tha fact tha it went well fer me...I decided tae invest coin intae tha yoouth o' tha Hive ward...lone mothers wiv children, yer 'onor...I tried tae offer them a chance at apprenticeship by handin' coin. Fer I try tae do my part in this city....

apart from tha' I once was taken intae tha server under a former Captain o' tha Harmonium, Captain Vale Reynolt...tae assist in tha apprehendin' o' a suspect, Ceszar...again....I tried tae do me part fer this city....proved by tha official document I present...

I always strived tae make an honest livin' yer 'onor...and tae me knowin' I ne'er made any enemies...untill some day, tha very parchments wiv a price on me head appeared...parchments which called anyone willin' tae crucify me in public, wiv nae a small sum as a reward...

I gave copies tae Harmonium, Mercykillers an' wiv all respect, Guvners.....yet sadly, tha matter nae seemed dire enoough...fer nae one approached me on it...

I could nae sit idle...since my dearest friends also started tae be marked...by this vile person.....

noow...some who sympathised...tried all they coould tae 'elp me....

One o'them, Ixia larkspur, who was able tae discern tha location an' thus, Identity o' tha one responsible fer this.... nae one other than Marius Darktale...as most knoow him by...after at ferst she was threatened by a she vampire, claimin' tae be tha Queen o' Darkness....which....after all, appeared tae be a trick o' this Marius.

My ferst twa sensory stones shoow proof o' this....

noow, after learnin' t'was Marius...I started tae eavesdrop often...an' I also learned...that Marius started his contest o' look alikes....which I assume most people knoow aboout...

I felt, apart from bein' very angered at his hostile action an' threat on tha life of innocents an' m'self, tha I 'ad tae do somethin'

This lead tae tha day, I followed him back tae tha Inn...tha Smokin' 'ammer...tha recordin's o' tha' day....sadly nae all intact, recorded on tha third stone, yer 'onor...

I tracked him tae 'is room after some listenin' and entered 'is room...where 'e was plantin' doown alchemist fire's .....tha entire room filled wiv 'em...nae dooubt, 'e was plannin' somethin' wiv those...

In me anger...an' noow finally got 'im, I attacked 'im after he threatened tae detonate them...thoough sadly....Marius managed tae release a spell....detonatin' all alchemist fire's ....which 'ad me dead...jus' as well....

so, yer 'onor...I state, tha' I rather tried tae prevent an explosion, rather then tae cause it...each day, I still carry tha burden, knowin' tha so many innocents died...while all I wanted...which would 'ave been easier if all authorities 'ad taken me plea more serioous...tae safeguard those I care fer, innocents, an' last but nae least..m'self.....

I plead, nae guilty yer 'onor....

*Judge Orneth of the Guvners continues after that statementÂ…*

”The Trial of Kelth McEwan and Destruction of Smoking Hammer Inn is now open.”

*Judge Orneth slams his hammer on the table making loud bang, Orneth scribes notes to one of the parchments on the table after this Judge Orneth turns towards Cratten ErrocÂ…*

“Prosecution, Harmonium representer Cratten Erroc, may now take their opening speech, but it is also their right to take it after they call their witnesses.”

*Cratten gets up when he speaks*

“The prosecution holds the opening speech now, your honor.”

*Judge Orneth gestures him to go on with it thenÂ…*

*Cratten walks infront the Judge and faces the Crowd, the audience of the show and starts to talkÂ…*

“This Kelth McEwan is brought here because of the story he told to one of the Harmonium members, Scairt heard the story of how Kelth was there to fight someone called Marius that had a room filled with Alchemist Fires, and in his anger he provoked this Marius to set out the explosion, despite knowing that it would cause great pain and suffering to those around him."

"He brings us evidences in form of Sensory Stones, that, let it be noted in the Court, are a form of storing memories, however there exists a spell to Alter Memories. He also leans to sympathy of his past actions, but should he be let walk out because of this action is the immediate question"

"Now I was told by a Cager that everyone he has killed likely deserved it. Well, let me I ask you this… “

*he turns around the crowd at the Court and lets his pointing finger slide through the entire crowd with short silence*

“… did the Cutters in Smoking Hammer Inn deserve their fate produced by one mans anger?”

*he turns towards Judge and nods as mark that heÂ’s done, then returns to his prosecution table.*

*Judge Orneth makes notes again to one of the parchments, then looks towards Kelth, after which he turns back towards CrattenÂ…*

”The Prosecution may now call his first witness, he will first question them, after which Defendant may question the witnesses. Has the Prosecution selected their first witness?"

*Cratten once more stands up to speak*

“We have your honor. The Prosecution calls Kelth McEwan as first witness.”

*Cratten turns towards Kelth and lets him get to the witness standÂ…*

*Judge Orneth interruptsÂ…*

”On this special case as Kelth cannot question himself after the Prosecution, he is allowed to select a single cutter of the ones present in the Court to handle Defendant questioning himself, but he is also given right to pass. Choosing a Guvner to represent you for this single questioning is also allowed.”
