En Route To Ribcage

She headed to the lower ward after their meeting. Her visits to this ward were usually brief due to the smog. Without any detours she went to Ganatog

[*Selebius]

"Good luck, Rae.", the man adds, then returns to his work, sighing- perhaps envying the woman of her task, her hunt.

[*Mander]

Maedbroghail runs into Ganatog and their two comrades along the way, already heading towards the Clerk Ward for some last minute shopping. The fire giant is an easy figure to spot, even among the milling crowds. Sighting Mae, he waves her over.

"Well, how goes the search? Have we a guide?"

[*Krayt]

She strutted closer to them. The elaborately ornamented scabbard between her dusk black wings wobbling only faintly despite it's size. She eyed the pair at his side with her usual critical gaze before she peered up at the giant.

"We have. Are you prepared to embark?"

[*Mander]

"All is ready." He pats the massive pack of supplies on his back, then notices Mae inspecting the bugbear and gnoll.

"Ruk and Khoz are getting a chance to prove their mettle to me on this task...In any case, where to?"

[*Krayt]

"The Clerks Ward." She stucked her hand into her satchel pulling the piece of cloth and read what was scribbled on it. "Follow me." Starting to walk directly toward the address Raena gave her.

[*Midnight]

They would find Raena packed and ready. She has a back pack pulled over one shoulder and a bow on the other. In her hand she carries a large clay flagon filled with a strong smelling dark brown liquid.

"The portal is in The Hive. We are looking for an archway covered in tazorvine near the screeching scum tavern."

[*Krayt]

"The key unlocking this portal, what is it?" She said with her usual tuneful voice. She didn't stop to talk but walked on in a quick pace as the directions were given."What awaits us beyond and what does these residents expect of us?"

[*Mander]

Ganatog idly eyes the flagon the woman is holding, wondering if Mae has hired them a drunk for a guide.

[*Midnight]

Raena leads the group out of the clerks ward and into The Hive, the dark grey wolf follows behind her. She explains as she goes.

"The portal comes out on the outskirts of the town amidst some hot springs. As you can probably imagine laws are many and strictly enforced there and deviance is not tolerated so the longer we can keep our heads down and our mouths shut the better."


She looks Mae up and down.

"If you are Tanar'ri blooded you will not be received well obviously. If you are Baatezu blooded it may actually be worse as they fear the town slipping into Avernus. They will provoke you. Do not rise to it."

As they arrive at a razorvine covered archway Rae prays silently The Lady has not changed the portal. She pours the contents of the jug out onto the ground before the arch.

"The key is Baatorian whisky."
