The barman takes the gold and nods.
"Go to the tanners around the corner. Ask if the wolfskins have arrived from Brux yet."

The woman considers.
"Five hundred jink, but we can perform the spell here and now."

"Thank you."
Gordon stays a bit longer, even almost empties his bug, listening to the locals, watching, taking in the multiple scents.
Then he leaves to meet the tanner.
Entering the shops he grins broadly: " Have the wolfskins from Brux arrived yet?"
Of course the subtle irony of this question is not lost on him.

"Alrighty."
The bag was already prepared, as if it was expected price. Black palm offered the pouch to the guvner, with a slight shrug.
"That works for me, as long as you can burn incenses needed to invoke answer publicly. And the Power of yours won't get insulted."

At Gordon's question the man seated behind the counter does not so much as look up. He just pulls a lever and with a creaking sound a trapdoor opens over a flight of stairs. The smell is overwhelming, chemicals and acids everything one would expect, and something else. Something he can not quite put his finger on. As he descends the stairs he realizes what it is. He ends up in a small corridor torches on the walls light the way. It is lined with cages. Each cage contains two or three filthy emaciated humanoids stuffed in together. Men women and children. The smell Gordon was missing was human flesh.

"Oghma is a power of wisdom and learning. He will take no offence at someone seeking knowledge wherever it is done. I have all the materials to hand. One of the small rooms at the inn will suffice."
She begins to make her way over to The Foule Olde Spirit and assuming Sil is with her she would head into one of the booths downstairs and begin preparing her spell the pungent scent of incense filling the small space.

Following behind the cleric, the drow kept calm demeanor, occasionally flashing a smile from one side to another.
When they entered Foul Olde Inn, sensitive eyes scanned the room for someone suspicious before entering the booth, letting the priestess prepare.
"So, Oghma? Is he one of those all-knowing gods I heard about?" Sill inquired, drumming her fingers on the table.

Gordon sends his dog away, instructs his loyal friend to wait for him at the Inn they have a room at.
Then he carefully descends the stairs, trusting in his senses to warn him, in his natural resiliency and reflexes to protect him.
Yet he is startled as he sees the cages and while he hunted intelligent creatures himself, killed people himself this is very different.
He passes past the cages with a mix of curiosity and disgust, carefully walking along the tunnel not announcing himself with a call but also not hiding his presence, curious what he will find.
