Fire In The Clerks Ward

[*Midnight]

The movers body violently jerks to sit up. He is in perfect condition where it not for the needle like hole through his stomach and the glassy vacant look in his eyes.

"There was an incident in undersigil. Something to do with a cult. Ashterot a guvner named Guunt and two others where involved. Whatever happened it attracted the daubus. A lot of them. We feared the Lady would become involved. We needed to know what it was. We questioned Guunt he knew nothing. Then a woman named Cassandra. She escaped our custody. We were questioning Ashterot as well. I don't know about an explosion. I remember talking to Ashterot.... then.... I don't know."

Hasclaan remains silent but notices two things: First the hardheads do not have the information he wants and also that Mauric must have been quick- very quick- or somebody else did the stabbing.

He waits for the others to continue having no questions himself- but he examines the Mover again then asks Chari: "Has he been stabbed from the front or behind? I doubt the Sinker is quick enough to have done this."

[*Midnight]

The cleric relays Hasclaan's question.

"No.... Something behind me."

"Have you an idea who or what it was?"

Has doubts he has- but it is always worth a try.

Justicar Charae approaches the scene of the bruned down post. If stopped, the dark elf flashes her badge and requests to speak with Measure Chari.

"He was stabbed in the back, a quick clean strike sir. How exactly did this Cassandra escape your custody?" Chari says while listening to the reanimated Mover.

Charae can see Chari and Hasclaan standing with some Harmonium soilders, a priest and another squad that is scouring the blast scene. Chari gives Charae a nod when she approaches and holds a finger to her lips as she nods toward the priest and the deceased mover.

Hasclaan gives the Drow one of his usual polite nods but he seems distracted and deep in thoughts.

He nodded at what Chari said- it confirmed what the corpse said. Now he listens, waiting for the answer of his question.

The dark elf stood near the two and observed the priest death-speaking to the Mover. It wasn't the first time Charae had seen such a spell being used.
