-- Brindas & Krystelle --
The House of Healing, Sigil.

Brindas copies down the contents of the page, both scribbled notes detailing information on the succubus itself and the tome's original content on the nature of the succubus and how summoning such a fiend works.

The ancient pages of parchment bob on the surface for a short moment before the alchemical solution seeps into it's weave and slowly drags it to the trays bottom. After a moment, the fresher of the inks begins to lift from the page in murky, blackened tendrils to further expose a small section of the handwritten notes in the placement of the original tome's spine.
Leatherbound Tome of Dark Rituals: Torn Pages wrote:. . . Shami-Amourae. Bound to the book, Mhyrlisa-Uhress seems unable to free herself from it until her goal is complete, or the hold is severed by another. This is her prison.
Alas, as the fresher ink drifted toward the solution's surface to bare the writing beneath so too did the original transcript warp and fade on the parchment, lifting to follow in it's tracks within moments. Despite the fact that the sheets of parchment are now blank, removed of both stain and scribed text, the surface itself seems completely unaffected. It is not soggy, nor is it damp once pulled from the tray.

She chuckles at that for a few moments as she finishes her meal and drink, and rubs her belly as the smell of the freshly baked pie assaults her nostrils. "I have many places I suppose I could call home, my husband and I hold real estate in a few locations we have decided are suitable for the establishment of trade centers, we've had the holdings for sometime".

She smiles reassuringly to the couple as she stands and tries to help clean up the initial army of dish's.

"I suppose the first step is to rake a stroll around town and see whats what and to determine the outcome of last nights chaos, I would like to start with assessing the damage to the inn and surrounding buildings".

Jareth rushes to stand and take the plates from her with a good-natured chuckle and an accompanying smile. "Please, M'lady. You are a guest in our home, allow me."

The man would attempt to clean the table at that point, eager to allow Miranda the chance to simply sit, recover and indulge. At Miranda's mention of exploring the town however, his kind grey eyes lift to meet those of his wife's across the room with a quiet sigh.

"Understandable, Your Grace. Please though, won't you allow Jareth to accompany you?" Ann queries in a concerned tone once the pie tray finds it's way onto the counter's rickety surface. Placing the paddle aside, the wirey haired woman dusted her hands on her apron with a slight wringing motion.

"It may not be wise to walk alone."

Perhaps moments may be enough. Krystelle would be watching the pages closely, of course, subjecting the momentary appearance of the original writing to the critical scrutiny of her observation. She would attempt to commit as much of the text as she can to memory in the short time before it fades, and transcribe what she can to a new, blank sheet of parchment.

Given Brindas' quill and own notes are within arms reach, Krystelle's keen gaze and quick thinking sees the trailing end of the fading text committed to a fresh sheet of paper.

Krystelle would set the quill aside and hold the parchment up, turned toward Brindas to show him the text. Her empty gaze is inscrutable as ever, despite the fact that the one nagging thought picks at the back of her mind.

'Let this enough to make up for my failure. Please.'

Brindas mulls over the meaning of such a phrase. And moreover, how this could be used in a way to save the child. He nods to Krystelle. "We have a library to visit... and see where else we can find reference to this ones name, if there is.." Brindas doubts this is, of course, the fiends Truename, but if it is, so much the better...

She smiles as the couple seems to become flustered in an attempt to help her and make her comfortable, such an adorable pair they make, she found herself thinking,

"I wouldnt dream of walking around town with out my two lovely and wonderful guides!"

She waits.

With the pie left to cool, the Ridgeways go about tidying up the kitchen in a brisk manner though neatly stack the dishes to be tended to upon return. Removing the apron from around her waist, Ann goes about filling a flask with water and offering it to Miranda in case the woman should feel parched or light-headed on their walk.

After gently ushering the woman outside, the door is closed behind them. As with many of the houses within the community, however, it is left unlocked. It could be surmised they have no fear of being ransacked or broken into.

"Was there a particular destination you would like to see, Your Grace? Or merely tour the simplicity of our small town?" Ann asks, smoothing down the folds of her worn but pleasant attire.

Although the attempt veered far of course from where they intended, Brindas & Krystelle find themselves with an important lead in relation to the succubus. The pieces of parchment remain still in the alchemic solution, and the original tome in the doctor's possession. Left now with the option of where they will research and whom they will seek further aid from, the two contemplate their options.

"Simple? Oh I doubt that, I really do for you see its in my experience over the years that sometimes the tiniest simple devices and objects tend to be the most reliable and self sufficient there are simply because of the fact that the more links you add to the chain the more there are that can break, I would like to start with the remains of the inn first and then, perhaps see what else there is to see".
