Garen would stop his writing and look at those who have spoken and voiced their concern

“Ladies and gentlemen, your candor and honesty are appreciated. There is no need for threats here. There is no need to raise voices either as I’m sure we all hear well enough. Now to try to address one issue at a time.”

He looked to the Doomguards

“In order to attempt to put the first issue to rest, I will address our Doomguard guests. You have a genuine concern about your responsibilities and I share them. So long as we coexist in this city, we must abide our treaties and pacts… but this encompasses both sides. For the Triad to be secure in their faith that their supplies will not be interrupted, for the Triad to resist seeking outside sources to fill a perceived void, they must be assured, wholeheartedly guaranteed, that their supply chain will not be interrupted due to political squabbles and disputes. If the Doomguard can guarantee this then I will make it my duty to ensure the pact, on behalf of the Triad, is upheld and will speak directly to the Triad leadership until I have their word in writing that the majority of their weapons, as required, are supplied by the Armories. Does this please the Doomguard delegates?”

From the beginning of the summit, a large fire giant dressed in simple robes bearing the Godsmen insignia has reserved a suitably large seat near Kala. Shortly after Garen's remarks, Factor Sixthfinger enters the hall. Unusually, she seems to have chosen to dress in faction colors (which clash magnificently with her natural coloring of course), though her garb is cut with a great deal more flair and made from more expensive materials than the average factioneer might have access to.

The giant stands and makes way for the Factor, who plops down in the ludicrously large chair that had been drawn up for the giant. Sprawled across from armrest to armrest as though it were a couch, she listens as the giant quietly recaps the meeting's minutes for her. Her expression is mostly impassive, save a few interested glances at Mauric and the Xaos representative, as she listens. When the giant Godsmen is finished, she pats his arm, whispers a few orders, and motions for him to leave before turning her attention in full to the proceedings.

Charae smiled at Maelfina, winking.

She then looked at the Doomguard, awaiting their response.

Turning towards Hasclaan his pallid cyan burning with malice. Tilting his head upward and slightly canted as someone that spoke from a favourous position.

"The awe inspering event of an unsuccessful siege. A dullards vain boast and nothing more to save a defaced image of a false strenght. The bluff is what might have conquered that little landslide called Ortho more so than martial might. They could secure a whole plane yet crashed against our walls. One can start to think of what weak willed beings habitated that plane to begin with. But perhaps failure is success to those that manage to distort the truth before their very eyes so it fit them."

He alternated his gaze between Hasclaan and Garen for the following part.

"I care not what weaponry you use outside the confines of the Cage. What Concerns me is that troop movements include those weapons when they are brought into our city. The weaponry must be switched out with existing Doomguard weapons or a new order be placed to arm these troops. I also talk about private weapons being used in duty. Alterations to existing weapons are unacceptable as well. This is an illegal act and must be stopped, the criminals to be punished by those assigned to that role within Sigil." He coldly glanced to Charae.

"The Blood Pact will be upheld or void on both ends there we agree. We will supply the arms within a reasonable timeframe and all officials will thereby abide to the usage of Doomguard and exclusively Doomguard crafted weapons. After some consultation with Ely Cromlich and the smiths themselves we can arrange for a more precise time from order to delivery. I am sure we can come to a consensus."

There was a piercing sharpness in his eye as his gaze set on Garen. His tone and posture soonwith changed to that of a victim albeit it was supple and not that dramatic.

"Majority? What deviltry is this? Majority is a breach of the Pact. As majority is not absolute. I saddens me that you seek lessen our role with lures to accept such wiles instead of being honest. It is such behaviour you should protect us from not ply them yourself."

There was a bried pause as he spoke again with adamant resolve. Still looking at Garen.

"ALL and I mean everything in from butter knife to chiv even the spikes in the armours with the intention of doing harm count as a weapon. Do not test out patience again by plying twists of Words, wich will only result in a waste of time and prologing this congergation. There is no compromises for this. None what so ever. Follow the Pact to the last letter. No alteration by word games the wich you Guvners have turned to an lingistic artform of its own. Nothing will be left for interpretations. Each offical is to use Doomguard and nothing but Doomguard weapons. Nothing but recognition of this will please us. This without abridge. The hows and the whens are open but nothing else. One hundred per cent of the weapons."

The dark elf smiled, a glint in her eye when Mauric spoke of following ancient agreements.

"As you can see, the Doomguard wishes for the officials of Sigil to honor an ancient agreement, yet they spit on the laws that the Triad ask to be respected in return."

Charae flipped a small folder open and drew two pieces of paper. They were copies of a report from Justice Leona after an incident that took place in the Hive.

"I believe a number of you here are aware there was a time when Mauric decided to go on a Triad killing spree, murdering a number of Harmonium and Mercykiller officials, two of which were in my own squad. Yet as fate would have it, the Fraternity offered him immunity and Justice was not met.

While I cannot hope to ask such immunity to be revoked without sufficient reason, I would like to bring to attention an incident, in which Mauric was present for, that one of his female colleagues murdered a Harmonium officer within the Hive Ward. A justice of mine was present at the scene and witnessed the woman looting the officer's body of his badge. When she attempted to come to the Harmonium's aid, Factor Ra'zeth and Doomlord Mauric Ashtoret intervened, the former physically restraining her and allowing the murderer to escape and still be at large."

Charae laced her delicate fingers together, smiling at Ra'zeth before fixing her gaze back on Mauric.

"I believe Justice for the family of that Harmonium officer has yet to be met as you are no doubt housing this murderer or can lead us to her location. So, if the Doomguard wishes for the Mercykillers to honor a faltering pact, then I will tell you the price. Turn that woman over to the Triad. Let Justice be served and you will find that the Mercykillers will support your efforts with ironclad vigilance. If you don't, then I ask the Fraternity to consider revoking his granted immunity of past crimes for aiding and abetting murder. If that can't be issued, then the Red Death are not interested in seeing the Doomguard as a sole provider of armaments."

Ra rolls his eyes as Charae finishes.

"Are we actually goin' tae discuss something useful, or are ye two just goin' to bicker for the rest of eternity? I swear, yer worse than two drow sisters by now."

Hasclaan listens with his usual expressionless face, letting the warlock's anger wash over him. There is no reason to answer as all he wanted the other man to know was said already and reached its intended target as the Doomlord's answer shows him.

Another note is added at Charae's speech and he seems to remember something and writes something on a fresh sheet of paper, giving it to an Aide to deliver it.

As the two drow and Mauric speak Emila stands up. She drops a folded piece of paper amongst Hasclaan's notes and then she quietly retakes her seat.

Picks the note up and reads through it then looks over at Emila and nods once.

Garen would ignore the back and forth between the other members and address Mauric directly, as he had just, previously, done

“Mauric, while your demands are passionate, they are erroneous. The pact does not give the Doom guard an iron clad monopoly on weapon smithing in the city nor does it force the others to only accept your products at any cost. While I applaud your attempt at trying to get us to extend the intention of the pact, that isn’t going to happen. As I’ve stated… I will approach the Triad leadership to ensure the majority or their weaponry is supplied by the Doomguard in exchange for ironclad guarantees that the supply will not be interrupted as has already been tried. You can accept my offer, and we will move on, or you can decline my offer, hold on to your demands, and walk out of here as empty handed as when you entered. Threats will not sway us and warnings of war will only gather the council against you as it once did before.

Think carefully before you answer. My offer is genuine and sincere, do not shove it aside due to pride.”
