Taking his drink with him, John ambles towards the privy. Without thought or hesitation, he opens the door and enters. He remains in a state of mind that he belongs here and is just another berk having to use the facilities. His dog remains with him at all times.

Minerva looks at the receipt and shakes her head, she reaches into a box of books and opens one. It appears to have the stumps of receipts in it and by matching the numbers she finds the stump of the one Norman hands her. She looks up and she checks the receipt in a catalouge.

"I don't recall the cutter myself but this is for spell scroll. Is this Yuan ti a friend of yours?"

In undersigil the dwarf takes the bag the crossbow is trained on Thist. He opens it and begins to count he cannot hide his smile.

"Looks like we're eating tonight boys and girls!"

He turns to Thist.

"On yer way then."

Whilst in The Lower Ward John opens the Privy door to see the Yuan ti he has followed here leaning over his hand reaching around the back of the privy as he hears the door open he stands up straight he shoves something into his pocket and turns around.

"Just finished cutter."

He is calm and confident as he goes to make walk past John to the door.

Norman decides to tell the truth- why lie to her? She is a merchant, more interested in business than whatever those Yuan Ti might do.

"Not a friend.. no. This bill was found on a Yuan ti who was involved in some kidnapping. We... my companions and I... are investigating and trying to help. Say.. can you please tell me what kind of scroll it was? What spell the scroll held?"

Before it has a chance to pocket whatever it was holding, John “stumbles” over his dog and accidently spills a bit (just a little… not enough to elicit much anger) of his drink on the Yaunti. He suddenly apologizes and takes out a couple rags and begins to wipe the mess up. He continues to apologize while glancing to see if the creature is actually holding something or if it was here to drop something off.

He ensures that one rag he uses does not touch the spilled alcoholÂ… only the serpent.

Minerva looks at Norman suspiciously. Like most indeps she does not seem to care much for those who snoop into other peoples business.

"Oh yeah? Well I don't know nothing about nothing!"

***********************************************************************************************

The Yuan ti does not wait around instead he pushes past John as he "fusses" over the spill. He is not rude or aggressive and he genially waves away the attention but as he makes his way out one gets the impression he is in a hurry. John would notice the pocket is filled with something roynd and heavy and should he check where he saw the man reaching he would find nothing there suggesting this is a pick up and not a drop off. The cloth is coated with sweat and a hair or two enough to carry a scent.

John steps back, apologizing one last time, and permits the creature to leave. He takes the rag and permits the hound to inspect it closely.

“Do not lose this prey… but do not get spotted…”

After a moment they depart the privy. John waits for the hound to pick up the scent and follows its lead. He does his best to keep up with the dog, without being seen of course, but should the hound require the need to run aheadÂ… he permits it. As a tracker, he always waits on the trail where he last lost the dog and waits for a signal.

Norman sighs inwardly- he tries to peek at her notes, perhaps he can read something useful there.

Then he answers, trying to be polite and patient: "Of course not. And it is not like I am interested in your business with this creature- I just want to help a friend, who is, like me, a stranger to this town. I still think you could help us... as every little bit of information will help."

Nods in appreciation and walls off. When he's rounds a corner, he casts a invisibility spell on himself as well as ghostly visage and walks the rest of the way down to find the poison merchant that lives down here.

The dog shoots of around the corner and it does not take someone with a ranger's skill to realize he enjoys this. He is gone for for a several minutes. He then comes bounding back to where John waits barking excitedly. Should John follow him he leads him to an ally way. At the end of which is an open gate set in an archway. The dog runs to the archway turns around runs back to John jumps up and down excitedly and then repeats the process.

Minerva seems to relent perhaps getting the impression that Norman is not a hardhead.

"He bought a scroll of magic jar. I didn't have any in stock so I took an address. Here."

She points next to the ledger entry to an address listed as 14 Bariur End Hive Ward.

"Thank you." He writes down what he learned smiles at Minerva and if there is still time until the meeting he will hurry to the adress he was given- on the way pondering what this spell could be.
