As he speaks the words the world melts away only to be replaced with the dripping cold of the cave outside of the temple next to them the boat waits tethered to the small quay by the underground river compared to the roar of battle they just left here is calm still and silent just the dripping of water droplets of stalagmites and the rush of the rivef against the rocks. Ramal stands looking around adjusting to his surroundings.

"A useful trick, where are we?"

"A safe place. They will not be able to find us here."

He looks around, trusting his enchanced senses again, then ascends the few stairs leading to the shrine's entrance, gestures his skeleton to follow him.
Hasclaan feels safe here, almost at home and he allows himself a small smile.

"This is a shrine to Vecna... where it is exactly is a secret the priests will share with you when they deem you worthy."

Looking for a priest or guard he slowly enters the shrine.

As he gets into the boat Ramal rows them across the river the semi concscious body of the priest between them ocasionally twitching and mummering in fitful dream. As the boat arrives at the temple two priests in robes of Vecna greet them. They speak in alternate lines if dialogue.

"You have returned."

"We knew that you would."

"Yes we did."

"But we do not no why."

"No."

"What brings you to us again plane walkers."

He bows politely, knowing well he is just a guest here.

"I found someone who knows secrets. I want to... find them and I will share with the shrine. So for this time I request your hospitality again."
He looks down, checking the wounded priestess' life signs but also the fit of her bonds.

"This here is a fellow traveller but his secrets are his to share."

"We have watched him."

"Heard of him."

"Oh yes."

"Chaos and Death."

"Welcome."

"Welcome."

"We will have a room prepared for you."

"Is there anything you will need."

"Thank you, a room and a meal will be welcome. I also need a place where I can store and interrogate...", he gestures at the priestess, "that one."

He takes the woman from the Glabrezu skeleton's arms, then orders the undead to hide itself in that underground river and wait for its master's return then he turns to Ramal.

"Do you wish to stay or shall I show you the way out?"

Ramal flashses a viscious smile.

"She put a geas on me. I am not missing a moment of this, and then there is still much destruction to be had on this prime of yours. I am going nowhere yet."

The two priests lead them into the temple and at an intersection seem to part ways.

"If I may take your baggage."

The priest gestures to the bound woman.

"And I shall show you to your room."

"As you wish." Hasclaan nods to Ramal, noticing his words but for now not commenting nor asking. He follows the priests and gives the bound woman to one of them if he is asked to.

"She is a priestess of Iuz, please keep her in a state where she is unable to cast any spells. A cell with an antimagical field might be very useful."

Then he follows the other priest to his room.

Ramal buttons the shirt up and shakes his head at the question.

"I do not know. I do not remember how they came to be. I remember nothing longer than five years ago, and they will not tell me why."

The bits that Hasclaan can read speak of destruction, the death of gods and the ending of worlds. The number three hundred and thirty three appears in all the languages Hasclaan knows and probably many of the ones he doesn't.

Hasclaan listens as he continues to sew, clearly rather practiced in this kind of work.

"They?", he asks. "Who is hiding this secret from you?"

Finishing his work on the robes he leans over to grab his bag of holding, examining the skull and the books he found.
