-- Miranda --
Luizlurgh, Preularith.
"Things were not always the way they are now." replied Lovell, lifting both gauntlet-clad hands to wring leather palms against one other at the fore of an armored torso. "Our Lord and Lady have always ruled benevolently. . . but it seems the loss of their child has hit them harder than any would have thought. Understandably."
Once again the man turned to look out the window, swiveling only his head rather than move his whole body. "Something has changed, I know not what it is nor how you would find out. They've not left the manor since the burial and have refused all requests for audience. All the staff were discharged, maid and manservant alike - or so reports have said." he explained with a slow shake of his head, the sculpt of attractive features heavy with the gravity of the unknown. "One of the maids, Nina, mentioned that during their dismissal last eve, the Lord Bonvalet had been prattling on about 'the Reaper' and being 'reunited' with his departed son."
A heavy sigh turned the Guard Captain away from the window and sent armored boots clicking once more across floorboards in slow, precise strides. The return to wooden desk resulted in the clasped shut of an oaken box upon it's surface, contents hidden from view and nudged under a nearby stack of papers with the slightest of fumbles. It is then those leather digits move to gently brush over the gifted blade and it's intricate design. The jaunt of fingers was slow in it's inspection, the scabbard tentatively grasped soon after, yet not lifted from it's place on the table. Lovell, burdened by the weight of responsibility, hung his head and in quiet honesty admitted, "I don't know what to do."
Proud shoulders wrapped in dark fur slowly hunched over the desk with the confession and furthermore with the desire for aid that followed, "Please help us. You and any others you see fit. I. . . will aid in keeping your presence undetected should you choose to return."

She sighs for a moment before her mind comes up with a course of action, she regards the troubled soldier and nods.
"I dont normally like dipping into the deep political affairs of others but from what ive heard and by your own words it seems that this town is either in the market for another form of ruling body, or at the very least the one it has now needs some...repair. I am helping that lovely couple rebuild their inn, give me a few days to help their new home get off the ground and in the mean time I have means of looking around with out drawing much if any attention".
She leaves the Solonian sword with the captain as her word was true and she had made the sword for him and returned to the couples residence. She spends the next few hours contemplating over her spell book and in prayer to the very core beings of magic itself, carefully selecting a vast array of spells to both protect oneself, and to aid in more....subtle and stealthy tasks as well as a few touch based offensive spells.
Miranda, being equally gifted in divine and arcane spells up to the ninth circle can prepare for almost any situation given enough time.
But the spells she has selected...
They are not for her...not this time.
After a few hours of contemplation and careful planning the window to miranda's room opens and a beautiful well groomed and pampered black cat hops from the window frame to the ground. The cat looks back up at Mirandas bald head looking down at her.
"Becareful Sophia my love, you what to do" Miranda whispers to the cat, knowing she is heard.
The cat mews softly and takes off at a full sprint, heading for the Bonvalet manor, as the cats stealth and speed carry it away from the inn the air around the feline shimmers as the familiar draws upon the many many spells Miranda prepaired for her and the cat to both use.
The feline Sophia a constant and faithful companion to Miranda vanishes from sight, concealed by powerful arcane magic.
