((This will be a continuation of the event I stopped some time ago, going to give it a try again.))
After some weeks of what seemed to be peace and quiet, reports suggest that a sickness has erupted within the streets of the hive ward, many of the symptoms imply that it may be a simple cold. But nothing could be this simple.

Measure One, Nica Brianna Kelter, heard of the seeming string of sickness in the Hive Ward. It wasn't really her field of expertise, but like most mortals, she too had heard of the horrors of plagues that could set entire nations to its knees if actions weren't taken to contain them. Of course, that was still at best a farfetching idea. Hive was, after all, filthy and overcrowded ward, where poverty was cause of most ails.
Regardless, it was best to make an investigation to keep an eye out for these infections and determine whether it remains a local issue, or if more drastic measures had to be taken...
Now the real issue was who to send there. Harmonium, especially herself with how blatantly set in her ways she was, wouldn't be particularly welcome by the locals, making it difficult to study the prospects of the disease or its spreading...

A moss ridden Nymph with smell of Cinnamon could be seen walking towards the Hive ward in an attempt to get to the bottom of the epidemic. It intrigues her and concerns her as well. Hearing of the old and young getting sick. With a satchel of herbs, potions and remedy she headed off.

Ajipreah from the House of Healing seems to be keeping an ear to the ground on any new information about it. He even makes a couple of trips to the Hive whenever able, but does his best to not take undue risk to himself, noting that it would do a people no good if the doctor trying to treat them caught the same illness. He for the moment seems set on gathering up as much information as he could on the outbreak.

Athaon Morthos, factotum of the Athar, set out himself to see the truth of it himself. He went to the abodes of the sick, bringing various potions and arcane apparati. No doubt the Hivers would notice that Morthos was more concerned about whether the sickness came from a divine source than the overall welfare of the patients. Obviously, as a Tanar'ri, he himself was fearless regarding the potential disease.
"The Athar shall defend you if this sickness is some malevolent deity, I assure ye, cutters. Even the scum of Sigil deserve to be safe from the depravities of the false gods!", the Cambion would proclaim to the sick...even as he poked them with arcane examination tools and prodded them with invocations, likely much to the disgust of the patient's relatives or friends.
After he had bothered various ailing Hivers for a few cycles, Athaon Morthos returned to the Shattered Temple and sought to research his findings. The Athar Namers were no doubt used to his callous attitudes and probably were unsurprised when the Cambion demanded books relating to gods of disease and ill health, never once caring if it was possible to cure the sick.

While two of the House of Healing's own volunteers had undertook the task of keeping an ear out and help who they can, it was available to either Lady Moss and Ajipreah to take designated medical and sustenance supply donations to give to the Weary Spirit in the Hive for patient distributions. Should either of them take it, was up to them. The supplies would make it way to be distributed to the Weary Spirit in any event.
The crates of supplies as follows:

The sickness was progressing rapidly, and it seemed like the various tinctures and other medications were not working, people were just vomiting them back out, into a thickened black sludge. Those that Morthos spoke with, would become irrationally violent, attempting to strike him. It was painfully obvious that this disease was something different.

The alarming pace of the diseases progress did finally reach to Nica's ears with the reports becoming ever more noticeable. She hadn't quite anticipated it to be this rapid in her previous guesstimates, but it was definitely reaching the stage of forming, if not already setting in motions, the plans for containment, treatment and supplying matters.

(( As said to Edmaster what do you need us to do, to assist you for the event planned? Some of us can boost interest and anticipation with restricted rumors of stretched truth . Or even create NPC's. I am more than willing to do both as a individual :)
Shoot me a PM if interested! ))
