Miranda regards the papers given to her, well aware of the words contained on them, having written them herself in private. She sucks in a deep breath, as a torrent of memories, twenty some odd years of them, come rushing to the forefront of her memories. She looks to Edwin, still bundled in her arms and rubs a hand over the toddlers cherub like cheeks before placing the memorable words under the clasped rigid arms of her husband. She continues to cry steadily as the magical flames of the pyre begin to expand and crawl upwards as they begin to lick and dance at the edge of Gregorys red robes, the reposed flesh beginning the transformation unto ashes.

She looks at those around her, especially Itsu who stands close at hand. She feels light headed and lost at this moment, not sure where she as the realization that she has just said good bye to the love of her life, her body wavers and falters in place as if she is ready to pass out...

This entire time, his attentive gaze and ear were echoed through the area in silence, giving the impression he is barely even there, save for his body standing near Miranda. However, once he sees the Thayan wizard about ready to falter, his feet shuffle towards her, as he provides himself as a pillar of support, so she doesn't collapse with Edwin in her embrace. While it was not easy for him to see her in such a state, he placed his arms around her, to keep her steady and on her feet. Trying hard not to change his neutral expression, though the entire atmosphere weighed heavily on him.

Once he fixed her upright, he takes out a handkerchief from within his pocket, and slivers it under the mask of the wizard, to wipe away her tears, whilst the procession was on-going. He kept her close, and looked upon the pyre that was alight in flame, giving a silent acknowledgment to the deceased husband and an unspoken promise to keep his family safe and unharmed. His eyes giving more than enough context for anyone that looked upon Itsuyashi.

A silent breath later, he signaled Yuki to politely make some room around Miranda so she can breathe, and have her time to let it all out. All of that bottled up emotion, to cleanse the soul and give her a chance to start anew. Thus, his head turns to Danae, and he gives her a deep, respectful bow of his noggin', as a thank you for the service she has provided for the funeral. He had no words to give at the moment. His only concern being the grieving Thayan. He would lean her on himself, and begin to carry her under his arm to somewhere to take a seat.

Argent had been attentative in the best he knew how. For the moment the entire idea seen absurd and surreal. This wonderful plane, the Tree of Life which he briefly acknowledged as feeling they met before in another time and place, the pyre ready to be set and consumed. Tacit and on his guard with the only tell sign of fidgeting a rotation of a ring on a digit.

Conglagation of thoughts wandered and lulled, eyes flicking between Miranda and Edwin, the man he never knew but only in presence for so long on his ship and Danae as she gone about her ritual. Small tilt to his head of unspoken private thoughts retaining to his own mothers death and having never seen his own father. He gave that stare he might slip in reverie at that moment while peering at the licking flames before snapping out of it. Mostly having felt some attention being drawn to him by his mate at the end of the blessing.

Strange. She has just looked at him. The flames has not been set yet but was about to. What he been looking at in that brief moment? His expression looked thoughtful, exhaling. He continued to be the watcher.

End of the service. There was a flick of his gaze at the wavering woman but seen it was quicky seen to by Itsu. He then waited for the priestess to join his side.

She couldn't offer anymore words for Miranda, not now, not in her emotional state. All the wizardess, she thought, needed someone. She had returned the nod to Itsu silently. Seeing that type of countenance all too often even during a sermon, so she head responded in kind. Everyone phases out during it at some point. Even she still does, wrapping up in the emotions the priestess drew over to her waiting mate.

Grey gloved digits to entwine in his, silver mask to nudge quick and affectionately at his shoulder. Once standing ever vigilant she had been next to the elf. Waiting until the fire smoldered and 'til it was time to leave. Nothing left to say but to let the wind carry with its soft voices. Maybe Gregory knew and he was there for Miranda. A hopeful thought.

After being cnsoled and steadied by Itsu, she forces herself to adopt her regal, high born posture and air that almost everyone has seen her force herself to do when she realises her emotional defenses are waning. As the fire dwindles, those present find herself lost in thought as well, almost unblinking and unmoving as she watches the funeral pyre smolder down to nothing. The wizardess's posture unmoving to the point someone present would easily recognize the need to take Edwin from her arms as it be comes clear her hold on him becomes tenious at best.

As the fire winks out, the smouldering cloud drifting around the glade, Miranda steps forward and places her hands upon the top of the ediface, the heat failing to harm her (she was a wizard after all). She places her hands near the spot where her husbands remains once laid and whispers softly.

"Fly free my love, nothing can harm, for now and forever nothing can take you from our heart and souls".

She turns to those assembled, and does naught but nod to them as a thank you for their support and concern during a very difficult time for her. She looks to the one who had to take Edwin from her lest she drop the child during her period of rigid contemplation and nods to them before glancing up at the infinitely large tree. She asks Danae to gather her husbands ashes and when they are carefully interned in an obsidian jar she had made she moves to the base of the tree.

"I...thank you all for coming, your support means more to me then you can ever imagine and has more weight and meaning to me on a level that no amount of wealth can compare to, but...I have to do this next part alone...".

Leaving Edwin in the care of her friends and allies, her husbands ashes in tow, she begins a long ardious climb, making her way slowly and carefully to the thirty fifth branch. The climb takes her an impossibly long time and she has to rest many times on the way (infinitely tall world trees yeah?) but upon reaching the branch where Gregory proposed to her (and the branch she had now come to realize had been a point of conception for Edwin). She took a deep breath, pulled the lid from the urn and with a soft deep breath and a flick of the urn, sends the ashes drifting to the endless graceful winds of Asgard.

She doesn't return for sometime, spending the better part of two maybe three days in personal solitude and contemplation, eventually returning to Sigil to join her friends, allies and her son and when she does so she is once again in the familiar blue robes that had been her normal attire before the multiverse had dealt her a cruel and savage blow.
