What Can Change the Nature of a Fey?[/align]

Almost overnight the fey woman called Kasha had become a heart throb, stealing the fancies of men and beastman, alike. Minotaurs pined for her, fiends and celestials contested for her attention, and throughout all, the fey only lay upon filthy rocks and sparsely converse in dull, monotonous tones. Among those whose fancy was captured was one Saadi al-Rayf, and it was from her private chambers at the Three Dragons inn that a series of couriers dashed, to and fro, parcels abound of various sizes and certainly differing values.

Meanwhile three special messengers were selected to run parcels to Eowomioland the golem artificer, Lyra Darkmatter, not to be confused with Lyrazkhahe, and the last to be delivered to the Factors of the Bleak Cabal.

Indeed, the newly named Guvner was quite busy, and those who had been privy to certain discussions between the psion and fey knew that something rare and extraordinary was about to occur.

Within several cycles two of the three special messengers returned, their parcels undelivered, but Saadi was undeterred. The one that mattered most had reached its intended, and soon audience would be held with the Bleak Cabal, the only people who could put to a stop that which had been set in motion. There were rumors now, accusations and questions alike, tossed back and forth between the gossips regarding Saadi's character and intentions for the lovely Kasha, but it was all talk. As always, the future would right present wrongs. It was a Reality of Being.

If Eowomioland and Lyra Darkmatter would not respond to her missives, she would simply have to seek them out herself. So, taking up royal purple cloak, the tall woman left her luxurious inn room for Sigil proper.

Soon enough the bald psion returned to her chambers, having searched Sigil for success and only partially finding it. Click of a lock, royal purple cloak draped from a hook, and with a complete lack of posture she would never reveal in public she flopped onto her luxurious couch.

A sigh slipped her nostrils. Earlier that day she had departed in hopes of locating Eowomioland and Lyra Darkmatter, a pair she sought in vain via missive. The first she simply could not root out, not at the Bazaar or even his laboratory. Eowomioland seemed to be missing entirely. Though the latter was easy enough to pin down at the Greengage. Little good it did, however, as she was met with stubborn rejection by Lyra Darkmatter to assist in Kasha's plight.

Yet every cloud has a silver lining, and it seemed Lyra's company, a much more pleasant Aleira, immediately offered her power, such as it was, to Saadi's cause. A sorceress, Aleira might provide for the arcane muscle necessary for the task at hand but the psion was uncertain she would possess the necessary versatility.

It was during that musing the two enevelopes atop her side table caught her attention. Missives to hand, the quick slice of an envelope openner, golden eyes instantly absorbing text. The first was labeled Namael and brought low a dark expression across Saadi's features. Kasha had been assaulted by a cambion, as described by the half-celestial. It had only been a matter of time, the psion knew, before the fey earned the wrong sort of attention, and it seemed the time had come. The second letter was unmarked by name and simply read, "I've found her." Followed by a list a thorough directions for Saadi to follow -- directions that would lead her into the wild depths of Brux.

No rest for the wicked, the tall woman pushed to her feet, grabbed up her cloak and departed her quarters once more.

Saadi believed in decorum, the simple gestures one could make lending to dignity and composure. So it seemed only natural to her that despite wielding both powers arcane and psionic and having absolutely no need to walk anywhere, that's precisely what she did. Not this time. Bringing her powers to bear, the cerebremancer made of herself a blur of teleportation and haste. From the Three Dragons to the Gatehouse. Hurried checked on the nymph and then onto the Clerks' Ward. Portal. A rush of Brux, barely stopping to cross-reference the instructions that her diligent agent had provided for her. There, in the heart of a dense glade, locked in perpetual sunset she found the answer to Kasha's problem. The solution was sung in sylvan upon perfect lips and then gone to the music of laughter. Back to Sigil.

More wash of magic, more blurred world. Clerk's Ward to Bazaar. Lyrazkhahe. To the Gatehouse and Kasha once more. It was time.

Saadi had gone into this situation blind and ignorant and so she had prepared for the worst by over-compensating. The original plan: four wizards and a druid, together identifying Kasha's essence within the waters at the Gatehouse pond, and then relocating that essence elsewhere. It was overbloated, complicated, and it may have worked. But Brux and the nymph that Saadi had found there changed everything. Kasha could relocate herself, with no more effort than it had taken the cerebremancer to zip about the city's time and space.

Do it, she urged Kasha.

Kasha did.

Once more the psion took to her teleportation, bringing along Lyazkhahe and Kasha with her. Gatehouse to Lady's Ward. Saadi didn't return to her quarters that night, nor the night after. It seemed that, for now at least, she wouldn't leave the lovely pool outside the Golden Bariaur.

And Kasha was nowhere in sight.
