Face-off

In a restful slumber within the Hiromo mansion, one cycle, when the clan members were gathered during dinner, a single golem approached Itsuyashi. Informed that there are three armor-clad individuals staking out and observing the property for a few days now, that they have noticed in any way. Walking from one hallway across the estate and passing the sitting room, and bypassing his clan members, to check out the situation, he would exit the manor. Upon reaching the gardens, he would see three samurai, wearing a very familiar armor. The one he would easily recognize as those of the Gean regiments in Tengai.

His hand resting on his katana, he defensively approached the trio. The samurai in front held out a scroll, bound in an official seal. Claiming that they possess a lawful bounty on his head, dead or alive. Apparently signed by both the Mercy-Killers and the Guvners. Demanding that he turns himself in for arrest, for high treason committed on Gea and the attempted assassination of Tengen, who, by their words was still alive and well, and hungrily hunting for Itsuyashi after the incident prior to his arrival to Sigil all those years ago.

Inside the manor, Moon would be the first to follow Itsuyashi outside, and with him came along Kaori under stealth. Systematically, then, Merialeth,Kana, Eve, Tressielyn and Yuki would arrive outside the premises as well, as they felt it odd for Itsuyashi to go out of the manor in such haste and without a word to anyone. The golems would naturally remain on stand-by until an order was given to them by their owners.

Refusing to turn himself in, Itsuyashi tried to be the voice of reason and explain what has happened on Gea before his exile and hunt. The samurai trio would have none of it, and thus, turned a blind ear to his words, not believing his story. Tossing the bounty at him, they turned around and started walking away. A hand signal issued by the center-most warrior, a bolt was fired towards him before they started fleeing deeper within Sigil. Merialeth did warn the clan, noticing him up on the rafters of the building, and thus Itsuyashi managed to evade the bolt, that stuck into the ground behind him.

Not a second later, Moon, Kaori and Yuki went after the assassins...And thus, started a bleak future for the Hiromo clan...

Elsewhere in Sigil, at the Courthouse.

Roman waited till he was the last clerk in the room, then he locked the door. Quickly he searched the filing room, then finding what he was looking for he opens it, searching for the documents. For incidents like these, the Fraternities habit of paper work makes dirty deeds more tedious. Routine for those that are used to carrying out these actions but routine nonetheless. Finding what he wants, he takes the document and stuffs it away into his case, replacing it with another. After stowing it away, he takes a look at a few other case files for the hell of it.

After ten minutes of perusing, he unlocks the door and peeks outside. Seeing no one, he collects his belongings and exits the filing room and heads to his office, down the hall.

Somewhere on Gea

A man and four of his soldiers are on their knees, hands and forehead touching the ground as they swear to the truth, or as they know it. Tengen stands over them, a hand clenched in rage as he reads that Itsuyashi is not only alive but has grown stronger than he could have imagined. However, his trusted men tell him that Itsuyashi is dead. The scar on his chest pulses to his heartbeat and he dismisses them from his sight. Normally they would be dispatched but if what his spies are telling his true, he will need all men, even the slightly incompetent.

He is convinced that Itsuyashi is to be dealt with the the old way. Tengen will send his men to this city, Sigil, and bring Itsuyashi back, and repay the favor.

After the men leave, Tengen walks to a window and looks out into the courtyard. There, he watches a strange group of men. One of them is the son of one of his own Shugo, a man he handpicked himself. Six months after the disappearance of Itsuyashi, he too vanished. The difference is, that he returned six months later. Dressed in attire he's never seen, with an aura that terrifies even him.

He watches them through narrowed eyes, their abilities must be copied as these men will be the key to bring Itsuyashi back.

Following the meeting with Itrsuyashi, an annoyed Factor of the Mercykillers returned to the Prison and issued several orders to put a freeze on the recent bounty authorization, and penned the following order:
wrote:
I am putting a temporary freeze on the recent Mercykiller and Fraternity Sanction for the extradition of the individual known as Itsuyashi Hiromo from Sigil by way of a foreign military force. I am also ordering all Mercykiller personnel to stand down on the matter until some clarification is received.

All officers involved in the signing off of this sanction are to report to my office. I would like to know who decided it would be a good idea to give an outside, unauthorized militant branch free reign to extradite a resident of the city from, of all places, the Lady's Ward, and why the Harmonium - the Faction tasked with guarding the city- seal was absent from the document.

Justice Prevail,

Factor Dace Andor

Daces' orders are taken without comment, with some whispers wondering how a document like this could have been signed in the first place.

Moon's group

With the return of Kaori from following the trio of samurais and after the attempt of the assassin to take Itsu's life, Moon, Kaori, Merialeth and Yuki moved out following the winter wolf tracking ability to find scent traces and track down the assassin with the first two stalking the others in the group from the shadows, ready to take down any threat that shows up. With no one getting in their way, the group reached fast to the end of the tracks, a house in the Clerk's ward.

The building offered little to guess that the only way in would be the locked and blocked entrance door, soon confirmed by Moon and Merialeth, who teleported, who climbed up the roof to search for other ways in a part small holes in the structure through which Kaori managed to get inside in her gaseous form. The young girl in a matter of few seconds unlocked the door revealing an empty house, holding in her hands a poster with a bounty on Itsuyashi's head and tattered clothes, clearly the ones the assassin was wearing and that were disposed of in a hurry in order to cover his tracks.

With nothing else to do there Moon's group ran back to the mansion worried that all of this was just a plan to split the clan's defences and use this chance to take Itsuyashi's head, but luckily those were just Moon's worried thoughts. The cycle ended with everyone going to sleep soon later, the night broken only by the unnatural silence now filling the halls of the Hiromo mansion.

After the Face-off

Moon didn't lose time to issue orders around the manor:

-The golems were instructed to rise the allert level and given new routines and patrolling rounds around and inside the mansion ground. On top of that, anyone not recognized as a friend or accompanied by the clan members, is to be blocked outside the manor grounds while one of the members is warned and tasked to check on the matter.
-Merialeth was left to check on the Guvner part of the bounty and find out any useful information around it, who signed the extradition order and if it even followed the proper procedures.
-Kana and Yuki were to keep a close eye on Itsuyashi, staying with him if possible.
Either way one of Moon's shadows would stalk Itsu around and be ready to warn Moon for any trouble.
-Maya was given the order to keep the golem and the armory weaponry in top conditions while looking into ways to reach Gea.
-Kaori is tasked to keep looking for the assassin
-Kotaro would receive orders to support Dace in his investigation, gathering if possible informations about the ones signing the bounty from the Mercykiller
-Gallent was ordered to help out Maya
-For any other member currently not in Sigil, Moon wrote a letter asking them to come back to the clan as trouble arised

In the while, Moon is looking for a diviner and a gatecrasher, so parchments are handed to those that are known to profess such jobs in Sigil and currently waiting to meet with Lyra Darkmatter.

After receiving his orders from Moon, and perhaps regardless of them, Yuki had become inseparable from his ward, Itsuyashi. At a glance, he seemed calm and passive as is his usual state. However, it is easy to see an increase in his focus and keen alertness of their surroundings. He keeps his nose pointed to the air as he kept track of every scent that passes by. His wolfish ears twitching and swiveling to every new sound. However, this calm and alert demeanor quickly shifts to the ferocious guardian he is at the slightest provocation. To those whom have met the wolf in previous cycles may find this uncharacteristic for the noble wolf.

Somewhere in Sigil

Miyoto reappears in basement. Standing there clutching a staff, a wizened woman leans on a staff that pulses magical energy. The teleportation spell drained a considerable amount of her energy. She leans on it watching Miyoto after he regains his surroundings.

"Itsuyashi and his group are strong. I will need more than you to bring him to justice, back home." He rubs his decaying cheek while observing his mentor.

"You know what you have at your disposal. Use it" The reply is matter of fact. She heads to the door, opening it, pausing when it opens "Lure Itsuyashhi out alone, that will be your best chance. His mother yet lives." With a dark chuckle and glance over her shoulder she leaves the room.

Miyoto bows after receiving the advice. He knows what to do next.
