The Void Gate

Rumors have begun to circulate very quickly about a group of wizards from a planar agency known as The Wayfarers Union that has recently arrived in Sigil. The union is a well known group of specialists who excel in all manner of magical transportation, there ability to cross physical and magical barriers with their clients in tow knows no bounds, indeed if you have somewhere to go they are the ones to get you there.
The small group of union mages is overheard talking to a group of planeswalkers in Khazeets bar and the topic of their discussion is one of wonder and mystery and to some...impossibility. The group of wizards, led by a woman named Amelia Quickstep is searching for a planar gate shrouded in myth and story, a gate so powerful and unique that is is theorized that with this one single gate, a body can get to any plane with its use. Now, its no secret that such a thing, by current knowledge standards is typically impossible, one gate is linked to another gate and it stays that simple.
So naturally, the woman who leads the union wizards in Sigil is met with a great deal of skepticism, so much in fact that she states that after ten years of following in her fathers footsteps and searching for this gate, she finds her resources, personal favors and credability among the magical community all but extinguished.
She is running out of time but not desire or drive to find this mythic gate, despite informing local planeswalkers that in two weeks, the Wayfarers Union will terminate their support of her project and such a precious find could be lost forever.
She is able to tell those who listen a few things.
The first is about a group of mages who, if legend is true, used this gate as an arrival point from around the planes where a super secret congress of mages convened to discuss planar matters every fifty years or so.
The second, is the name her father had for the gate, a name told to her in his stories, "The Void Gate".
The third, and this part might be the very proof this gate might exist, is a VERY old picture of linked, looped and other wise interlocked circles that all connect to one significantly more prominent circle in the middle.
Amazingly, and perhaps a bit frightening is the resemblance to the common model of Planar Cartography that is commonly seen in circulation today, albeit a very older picture.
Amelia Quickstep states she can't pay anyone, she has so very few resources but she promises full credit and due recognition for anyone who finds any information, no matter how trivial that may help her in her search. She informs the planeswalkers she will remain in Sigil for the next week or so and wish's them luck. She can be found at the foul spirit inn.
The search for the Void Gate, a device that could reshape the face of planar transportation as it stands....begins!.
//A quick note to those who know me, and to those i have yet to meet. As with all new stories there come new chapters and new beginnings, and after much thought and consideration, I am abandoning the EM Magic Man name in exchange for a more wonderful fitting name sake so henceforth I shall be known as EM Mystra.
